The International Animal and Environmental Film Festival of Mexico City (FICAA) welcomes you to its 7th Edition, where, as every year, we accept films from all five continents.
The mission of the Festival is to promote values, causes, and activist struggles through Art, opening multiple opportunities to showcase the work of outstanding filmmakers. Throughout the year, we host various cultural events and film discussions in partnership with the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), UAM, ENAC–UNAM, and governmental cultural spaces that open their doors to support this dissemination.
Winning films that accept the terms and conditions will be hosted for one month on IMCINE’s platform “Nuestro Cine MX”, providing nationwide exposure throughout Mexico.

EXPLANATION OF FILMS FOR THE INVITED CAUSE
This section is dedicated to films that explore the many ways in which human beings seek to understand the invisible, the unknown, and the meaning of existence, from spiritual, scientific, philosophical, social, and symbolic perspectives.
We accept works with themes such as:
Conspiracy theories and hidden power
Extraterrestrials, abductions, contact, and non-human life
Religions and spiritual practices (Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, among others)
Energy, consciousness, and exploration of the inner self
Angels, entities, and non-visible planes

Awards and Recognition
As a festival driven by Animal and Environmental awareness, and with this year’s invited cause being “Cinema: Freedom of Belief, Extraterrestrials, and Conspiracy Theories”, all submitted projects will receive a Participation Laurel, recognizing the artistic value and work of each film, even if they are not selected for the final screening program. Official Selection films will receive an Official Selection Laurel.
Final winners will receive the FICAA 2026 statuette, along with digital laurels and a digital diploma.
The final awards ceremony takes place in December, welcoming guests from different countries and regions of Mexico to receive their statuettes in person.

WHAT IS SIFF?
The Sabadell International Film Festival (SIFF) is defined by its name: a festival dedicated to independent filmmakers who captivate audiences with original and innovative stories. Our aim is to offer a selection of cutting-edge cinema from around the world, positioning us as the ideal place to discover new talents and global premieres.
PERSONALITY AND IMPACT
Our carefully selected winning films will be screened at Sabadell's iconic Imperial Cinemas, while the awards will be presented at Sabadell's historic Teatro Principal. This impressive building, the work of architect Francesc-Daniel Molina, was inaugurated in 1866 and decorated in a remarkable baroque style by leading artists of the time.
PERMANENT RECOGNITION
The selected films will compete for the Félix Award, the SIFF's Ferran Casablancas Awards, the Teresa Claramunt Award, the Rosario Pi Award, and the Domènec Pruna Award. Join us for a red carpet ceremony at the Teatro Principal in Sabadell, followed by a glamorous party.

Each year, we will select the best independent films, including both feature films and short films. All officially selected works will be granted the right to use our official laurel, having been chosen from among a large number of evaluated productions. u22 Festival is the young film festival of Barcelona, the meeting and networking point for young filmmakers from all over the world. It takes place every September at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, and is also available online at Filmin.
XLIII BOGOTA FILM FESTIVAL

THE FESTIVAL
The Bogota International Film Festival, organized by the Colombian-local organization Corporación Bogocine, was created in 1984 in order to recognize and reward the Colombian film production. For its second edition, the Festival brought together not only Colombian but other Andean countries cinema as well, and went on to honor productions from the Caribbean Islands, South America, Spain, France, Africa and the Pacific Coast on subsequent editions.
Currently, the Festival is recognized worldwide as a relevant platform for new directors (with no more than 3 released feature films) and debut feature films. Renowned filmmakers such as Pedro Almodovar, Bong Joon-Ho, Isabel Coixet, Alejandro González Iñárritu and Rodrigo García have been awarded for their respective early films throughout the Festival's history.
THE COMPETITION
The Festival rewards the best international debut feature film with the Pre-Columbian Circle Award in its Golden, Silver and Bronze spots, and the Pre-Columbian Golden Circle for Best Debut Film Director. Nationally, the Pre-Columbian Golden Circle is given respectively for best Colombian feature film and short film. The Festival also rewards prizes for documentary films, either Colombian or international in three different categories: best documentary film focused on social issues, best documentary film focused on environment and best documentary focused on Art.
SIDEBARS:
The Festival has non-competitive sections for animated films, sacred-themed feature films, international short films and films for children.
SPECIAL AWARD
A recognition can be given each year to a person or entity, for their contribution to the film industry nationally and/or internationally.
OTHER EVENTS
The Festival also invites directors with wider trajectories (more than 3 films released) for retrospective screenings and shows other parallel sections depending on each year's focuses and interests, such as Contemporary Cinema screenings, Special screenings from ally film festivals and Classic Film screenings.

Founded in 2003, IN THE PALACE International Film Festival is dedicated to short films and audiovisual arts. Originating as a competitive forum for student films, it is now a recognized platform for expression of both young artists and experienced professionals. Among the oldest in the Balkans, it is the only professional short film festival in Bulgaria.
IN THE PALACE ISFF is a Goya Awards qualifying festival and an Academy Awards®/OSCAR® qualifying festival for shorts in the categories of Best Animation, Best Fiction, Best Documentary, and Best National Film. The Itabaiana International Film Festival was created with the aim of enabling and encouraging young audiovisual producers living in Brazil and abroad to promote their work, thus promoting new productions and professionals in the regional, national and even international segments.

NEW SECTION: INCLUSIVE CINEMA
PArt – Creator and Partner of the “Inclusive Cinema” Section
For the Atena Nike Award, PArt conceived and curates the Inclusive Cinema section, coordinated by Giusi Cataldo, actress, director, and artistic director, and Tiziano Di Cara, entrepreneur, creative professional, and event organizer.
The section was created with the goal of promoting a film culture that is increasingly accessible, inclusive, and attentive to the diversity of perspectives and human experiences, highlighting cinema as a tool for dialogue, participation, and cultural growth.
Il Concorso ART JUKEBOX è aperto a registi, case di produzione, enti, società e associazioni legate al mondo della musica. Il Festival si terrà a Bergamo e Seriate (BG) dal 18 al 21 giugno 2025.
Possono essere inviati documentari, cortometraggi, lungometraggi, fiction, film d’animazione, videoclip e opere d’ingegno prodotte dopo il 2020.
Saranno valutate e premiate opere cinematografiche dedicate alla musica in tutte le sue declinazioni.

SMR13 International Independent Film Festival
The SMR13 International Independent Film Festival is an international film event dedicated to discovering and promoting independent cinema in all its forms.

Cine Zolhos is a traveling event that brings diverse programming to the community, showcasing independent films, documentaries, music videos, and experimental productions.

CINEfoot - International Football Film Festival is the first film festival in Brazil and Latin America with unique curatorial and conceptual approaches about football. The event aims the promotion, diffusion, reflection and appreciation of football films from all over the world.
The Elche Film Festival, organized by Mediterraneo Foundation's main objective is to offer a cultural space to filmmakers and moviegoers.

Cortoons Gandia is the International Animated Film Festival of Gandia, organized by Cortoons Festival, the city of Gandia, la Generalitat Valenciana, through the Institut Valenciá de Cultura (Culturarts), and the participation of Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) Campus de Gandia.
In the 2016, after 12 years of great success in Rome, Cortoons international festival of animated films, he moved to Spain in the beautiful town of Gandia in the province of Valencia.
The 22th Cortoons Festival Gandia edition will be a great festival of animated films for professionals, animation film funs and all the general public.
