The FICAH MEXICO will be held annually and its main objectives are to promote and promote the production, completion and exhibition of independent cinematographic works.
Film festival, gathering, usually annual, for the purpose of evaluating new or outstanding motion pictures. Sponsored by national or local governments, industry, service organizations, experimental film groups, or individual promoters, the festivals provide an opportunity for filmmakers, distributors, critics, and other interested persons to attend film showings and meet to discuss current artistic developments in film. At the festivals distributors can purchase films that they think can be marketed successfully in their own countries.
"This festival went above and beyond to deliver even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though the LA Live screening was changed to private screenings, I still received a long feedback video that included thoughtful and detailed critiques from a diverse array of people. My cast and crew is super excited as well, as every department got a mention in the video! If you want to know what real film enthusiasts think of your film beyond your inner circle, submit here! Thank you to everyone who participated in the video."
-Hannah de Groot.
NOTE: This festival is still taking place each week despite the COVID-19 virus. All festival dates have been relegated to virtual screenings with the same Audience FEEDBACK videos made for the short films, and recorded script readings performed by professional actors for the screenplays.
As soon as it is safe for the cinemas to re-open, we will be shifting to weekly film festival events with guaranteed full crowds.
"I loved hearing all the different interpretations from the different audience members. Everyone comes to a screening with different backgrounds and history, and that all informs the way in which they receive and perceive a film; it was fascinating to me, and I thought everyone had very valuable things to say."
– Filmmaker Sarah Deakins (Greece)

The NY Cat Film Festival celebrates the, mysterious cats who share our world, and their loving relationships with people.
The NY Cat Film Festival is the way for those who admire and are fascinated by cats to make and bring their films in front of like-minded cat lovers. These are not "cat videos" - these are films which have been made with an intention, concept or story to convey something essential about where cats fit into our human world. This festival is a way to honor cats and those who care about them and raise awareness for their needs and qualities while supporting the caregivers in their communities. This Festival is philanthropic and a portion of all ticket sales goes to an animal welfare organization in every city it visits. The NY CFF premiere is in NYC and then travels to many cities across the US and Canada.
The NY Dog Film Festival premieres in NYC and then travels to many cities in the US and Canada annually. It is a collection of short films that celebrate the remarkable bond between dogs and their people. Animal shelters and rescue organizations receive a portion of proceeds in each city. Films must have a canine theme.
We welcome submissions of films of any length (preferably less than 30 minutes) whether narrative, animated or documentary, as long as they have a canine subject matter. It is fine with us if the film has already been seen in other film festivals or venues since the point of the Festival is for dog lovers to have a shared experience of taking in all the films as a community experience.
