We always celebrate our art and one of the best ways is to do so is film festivals. There are many film festivals in Asia where filmmakers and film lovers alike can celebrate the best and the brightest. We are adding one more precious feather to it and that’s the BOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL FILMFESTIVAL (BIFF).
Launched in January 2020, Bollywood International Film Festival–BIFF is founded by some of the best-known actors, directors and film professionals. BIFF intends to provide a place that connects the film lovers and makers around the world.
This film festival promotes new movie makers, looking to get publicity for their films, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas, the culture of India and other nations in their social and cultural ethos.
The festival will host various forums for academic interactions on Filmmaking, Film Appreciation like seminars, Workshops, Master classes etc., for the benefit of film professionals, discerning audience and students on unique aspects of cinema.

The European Short Film Festival Villamayor de Cine emerged in 2008 in the picturesque village of Villamayor de Santiago, located in the province of Cuenca. Its main mission was to create a space where short films took a prominent place and young directors had the opportunity to shine.
This festival takes place annually during the month of August, in intense days where a team of over forty young professionals, under the direction of the festival's founder, Javier Alonso, tirelessly works to bring the best of short cinema to Villamayor de Santiago.
Renowned Spanish actor Jesús Guzmán was the Honorary President of this film event until his unfortunate passing in 2023. In his honor, the award for the best fiction short film bears his name, keeping his memory and legacy alive in the world of cinema.
The festival's host is Luis Mottola, a highly esteemed professional actor and presenter. His presence elevates the festival with his experience and talent. Mottola feels a profound affection for Villamayor, just as the town appreciates him. @luismottola
The Tío Babú International Short Film Festival is a generalist festival in which fiction, documentary and animation genres participate in short film format.
It consists of five international competition sections and parallel activities.
The 1st edition of the Tío Babú festival will be held from July 15 to 20, 2024, in the city of Toro, Zamora (Spain).
What is Claqueta Emérita?
Claqueta Emérita is a national short film festival that favors the production and promotion of audiovisual works made by national creators. Without losing the regional essence of its first years, Claqueta Emérita gives great value to the professional work made in Spain and Extremadura, as well as to the work made by young creators who have in the educational centers their most fervent reflection.
Claqueta Emérita is made up of several activities/actions:
● Short Film Contest aimed at individual or collective filmmakers who hold Spanish nationality.
● Workshops, meetings and audiovisual screenings carried out the days prior to the celebration of the Final Gala in Mérida or in towns of Extremadura.
● Final awards ceremony with the collaboration of students and recent graduates of the Audiovisual and Entertainment Production training cycle of the I.E.S. Extremadura.

Among the activities to be carried out within Claqueta Emérita VIII, there is a short film contest for Spanish filmmakers and creators.

TODOS SOMOS DIFERENTES (WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT) it is configured as an International Film Festival that seeks to make visible audiovisual works that address issues related to different types of disability as well as the Rights of People with Disabilities, such as equal opportunities, social inclusion, participation and accessibility. Beautiful festival that takes place in Modica and Gela - ITALY.. Modica is the birthplace of Salvatore Quasimodo and the festival is dedicated to him, the Nobel Prize for poetry. The festival has reached its 16th edition and welcomes poets, videographers, directors, writers and any artist who deals with the theme of the Festival: Cinema and Poetry. The Bogotá International Documentary Film Festival (MIDBO), organized by the Colombian Documentary Filmmakers Corporation ALADOS, is an event specialized in documentaries that over the past 26 years has consolidated itself in Colombia and Latin America as a fundamental space for exhibition, dialogue, and thought around non-fiction audiovisual works.
For the 27th edition of MIDBO, we invite filmmakers and producers to submit their audiovisual works for the 2025 film call and to participate in various training and discussion spaces that will be held both virtually and in person during the event.
This year, the 27th edition of MIDBO will take place from October 29 to November 7 in Bogotá, Colombia. The event will tour different regions of the country throughout the year, maintaining our "Martes MIDBO-ALADOS" screening series in various partner venues.
After 26 editions, MIDBO continues to work on creating an event that fosters and trusts in reflection on documentaries, the ways in which we approach reality, with our main interest being the many ways of documenting the world. Committed to the goal of unraveling the complexity of a reality that exceeds us, we continue to build each year the ideal space to meet and reflect on documentary work.
For 2025, we maintain our interest in promoting creation and recognizing the efforts of filmmakers by offering two competitive sections: one for Ibero-American feature films and another for national short films. We will award the prize for Best Ibero-American Documentary Feature, for films longer than 60 minutes made in Ibero-America, and the prize for Best National Documentary Short, for films no longer than 30 minutes made in Colombia or by a Colombian. The jury for each competition will be announced one month before the event and will consist of three (3) artists, filmmakers, writers, critics, or cultural managers.
