Riga International Short Film Festival 2ANNAS is the oldest and one of the leading short film festivals in the Baltic States.
The festival seeks out and introduces the audience to innovative modes of audio-visual communication from all over the world. This call addresses every person, collective, agencies, exhibitions and producers that have produced and/or own the exhibition rights of audivisual pieces of short length and of documentary, argumentative, experimental and videoart nature; on movie film, video or animation formats.

The 34th Message to Man International Festival of documentary, short live-action, animated, and experimental films is scheduled to take place from 18 to 27 October 2024 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
With its history spanning three decades of cinema development, Message to Man was founded in 1989 in Leningrad by filmmaker Mikhail Litvyakov, who now serves as the Honorary President of the Festival.
In 2010, Alexei Uchitel, a renowned director of documentaries and feature films, assumed the role of the Festival's President.
Over the years, the Festival has hosted distinguished figures of world cinema, including Werner Herzog, Ulrich Seidl, Claude Lanzmann, Isabelle Huppert, Fanny Ardant, Agnès Varda, Mira Nair, Paolo Sorrentino, Alan Berliner, Eric Roberts, Jonathan Rosenbaum, Abdellatif Kechiche, Udo Kier, and many others.
The Festival programme revolves around three competitions: international, national, and experimental, providing a platform for both full-length and short films to vie for the Festival's Grand Prix. Message to Man consistently draws thousands of cinema enthusiasts to St. Petersburg each year.
In 2023, the Festival attracted over 10,000 spectators, and its competition and out-of-competition programmes featured around 200 films from across the globe.

The Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival (PUFF) selects 95% of its micro and short films. We have featured 30+ films in each of our 5 years, and work hard to showcase as many independent filmmakers as possible. More than just a "horror" film festival, each year PUFF includes an eclectic mix of features and shorts, including sci-fi, action, documentary, bizzare, drama and more.
PUFF was founded as an alternative festival to bring new and undiscovered films to cinema fans in Philadelphia. The festival has previously featured such notable films as Tragedy Girls, Witch in the Window, Happy Face, Antrum, and Karate Kill. We tout an excellent success rate for our selections, with 95% of our feature films from the first few years of the festival receiving independent distribution.
PUFF works to connect upstart filmmakers with distribution outlets by working with local independent film distributors, and to offer a place for filmmakers to gain exposure and network with as many industry professionals as possible. FRAPA – The Porto Alegre Screenwriting Festival – is the largest event focused in scriptwriting for television and film in Latin America. The 8th FRAPA will be held at Cinemateca Capitólio, from the 14th to 17th of July, 2020. Our aim is to discuss and strengthen the significance of screenplay writing in times of rising in TV and film production in Brazil and in the whole continent.
Inspired by similar festivals in the United States and Europe, FRAPA has grown in size throughout the years, organizing debate sessions, competitions, workshops, screenings, master classes and business rounds. We intend to make FRAPA a reference for the thought of audiovisual writing in Latin America. By encouraging the exchange of experiences between screenwriters and other professionals in the audiovisual market, we create an opportunity for qualification and celebrate new partnerships.

Festival accepts movies of interest for gay, lesbian, bisexual, intersexual and transexual people. To participate in the competitive section (prizes), these films should have not been programmed on TV, screened in comercial venues or another spanish festival excluding the organized by Fundacion Triangulo.
