Purpose- 1936, Memorias del Silencio is created with the aim of promoting through the cinema and colloquies,the peace cultur and another view around the world, regarding the Spanish civil war.
This program responds the intention of dealing with the role of the Spanish civil war from its cultural environment, anthropological and social, with special attention to the role of woman through its evolution.
Lectures and speakers will participate in workshops, discussions, and debates in order to make aware and provoke reflection on some events that a whole sector refuses to talk about. For this reason, we will give priority to the accesible suggestions to people with audible or visual disabilities.
It will be integrated by a retrospective, competition, and colloquies or conferences with specialists.
We encourage the participation of spanish producers and we stimulate the producer’s look from countries with low production or with difficulty to reach our film theaters and specially encouraging the presence of works made by young artists.

Each year, our festival takes place in Paris during the springtime, which is not only a beautiful season but also an exciting time of year for ÉCU, because that is when we showcase roughly around 60 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 21st edition, will take place on April, 2026 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a dialogue focusing on celebrating but also critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our 50+ partner festivals, partner organisations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road. This gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity for their films to reach a broader, global, international audience.
ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 to 2025 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. ÉCU also held special events in Berlin (Germany), Atami (Japan) and was part of festivals in Lebanon, Italy, Russia, USA, Romania, Austria, Denmark and other countries. This gives ÉCU filmmakers great exposure to audiences that they may never have reached otherwise.
Since 2006, ÉCU has helped the careers of hundreds of independent filmmakers, actors, DPs, editors, screenwriters and we are honoured to give aspiring film directors the chance for their voices to be seen and heard.

Asian Film Centre Global Fest is an annual event designing to spot filmmaking talent and matching them with international sales agents. AFC Global Fest is all about true indie spirit. It is designed to be the bridge between independent filmmakers and international sales agents. Winning films will get a chance to be represented at global film markets.
With substantial revenue (sometimes well above 50 percent) coming from exploitation outside of a film’s home country, it is vital that producers should target and then structure deals with foreign sales agents.
What is an international sales agent?
An international sales agent is the conduit to your film’s distribution outside of its country of origin. The sales agent will acquire a set of rights from you, pitch and sell these distribution rights to potential distributors around the world, draft distribution agreements, deliver the physical and electronic materials of your film to these distributors and, finally, collect and pay the revenue due to you. An international agent will be your partner for years, helping craft the commercial life of your film on the world stage.
What is an independent cinema?
“independent cinema” as film outside the established system of filmmaking. Probably even more widely, beyond the established system of values: the experimental, low-budget, underground, various new wave, and so on.

GBFF festival takes place over several weeks starting mid-January and wrapping up March of 2018. Specially selected films have an opportunity to be played in the festival segment called "Films Around Town" (playing in various venues around town) leading up to a weekend event March 1-4, 2018 at St. Norbert College.
This year the festival is focusing on more networking opportunities for filmmakers over the March 1-4 weekend! More events, engagements and seminars all within walking distance of the St. Norbert college venues. Corto Dorico Film Festival was created in 2004. Since then it has become one of the main Italian Film Festival primarly dedicated to short films.
The primary goal of the Corto Dorico Festival is to present an overview of the Italian short film world and its authors. The main mission of the festival is to scout, promote and support new points of views, poetics and film concepts. From classic narrative to experimental forms, from documentaries to animation and so forth, Corto Dorico is cinema without discrimination of genre and format.

Short Italian Film Competition
Is open to submissions of short films in Italian language directed by Italian citizens, residents, or individuals domiciled in Italy (Italian or non-Italian); Italian citizens resident or domiciled abroad (submitting films in a different language other than Italian) may also apply. Non-Italian citizens (resident or domiciled outside of Italy) can also submit a film as long as it has been shot in Italian language.
Amnesty International/Italy International Short Film Competition “Running Out of Rights”
This section, created in partnership with Amnesty International Italy, will accept submissions of short films of every genre that are related conventionally or less conventionally, with the themes of civil and human rights. A selection will be screened during the festival and the best short film will be honoured with the Amnesty International Italy Award.

Indie-AniFest (Korea Independent Animation Film Festival) organized by KIAFA, the Korean Independent Animation Filmmakers' Association. Indie-AniFest presents spectacular independent animated films from Korea and Asia. The festival offers a diverse range of works and opportunities for filmmakers as well as a chance to interact with audiences. We strive for the values of independence, experimentation, passion and vision by working together with independent animation directors.
The "Oregon Short Film Festival" is a showcase of independent short films from around the world for the Portland, Oregon audience in the Northwest USA. One full Saturday of 100 short films will be compiled and screened at the Avalon Theater on Blu-Ray DVD. All short films that are under 20:00 minutes in length are eligible for submission. We are looking for creative works with good acting, original ideas, fresh concepts, great production value and strong writing. The Oregon Short Film Festival is diverse accepting films from all cultures, races, religions, lifestyles and ideologies. The Oregon Short Film Festival screenings will be thought provoking, fun, colorful, passionate, action packed as well as, cutting edge and experimental. Diversity is the theme of this festival. Из года в год, руководствуясь избирательным кураторским подходом, FIDOCS не только призывает известных представителей национального и международного аудиовизуального сектора выставлять свои работы в Сантьяго, но и, используя этот город в качестве киноцентра, призывает таких экспонентов подвергать сомнению, интерпретировать и переписывать состояние современной практики документального кино сегодня.
Для продвижения, позиционирования и показа чилийских и зарубежных фильмов FIDOCS проводит три основных конкурса. Эти разделы включают: МЕЖДУНАРОДНЫЙ КОНКУРС, КОНКУРС В ЧИЛИ и НОВЫЙ КОНКУРС КОРОТКОМЕТРАЖНЫХ ФИЛЬМОВ ДЛЯ НАЦИОНАЛЬНЫХ ФИЛЬМОВ.
Кроме того, основным отраслевым направлением деятельности FIDOCS является проект «DOCS IN PROGRESS», посвященный незавершенным работам латиноамериканских авторов, в рамках которого жюри (редакторы, режиссеры, звукорежиссеры, звукорежиссеры, продюсеры, программисты), помимо выбора победителя, помогает кинематографистам приступить к постпродакшну своих фильмов и поощряет их распространение и передачу в эфир. Этот раздел управляется совместно с секцией WIP в CHILEDOC CONECTA.

XVI кинофестиваль «Детство и отрочество — 2025» — это фестиваль с пространствами для распространения и аудиовизуального обучения для детей, подростков и молодежи, с выставками, развлекательными мероприятиями, семинарами, дискуссиями, основной целью которого является популяризация Боготы как города-новатора Латинской Америки с точки зрения зримого, главного и полного прав детства и юности с помощью аудиовизуального строительства.
Участие в выставке и распространении аудиовизуального контента бесплатное. Конкурс пройдет со 2 по 6 сентября 2025 года. Дети и подростки получат доступ к аудиовизуальной программе, состоящей из национальных и международных анимационных и художественных короткометражных фильмов, телесериалов и категории «FESTICINE AWARD», присуждаемой аудиовизуальным материалам, снятым детьми в Колумбии. Они будут сопровождаться развлекательными мероприятиями, направленными на размышления по теме «ГРАЖДАНСКАЯ КУЛЬТУРА И ОКРУЖАЮЩАЯ СРЕДА».
