Small festival of independently produced short films and video clips, part of the program of the 29th Barcelona Independent Music Minifestival, organized by the Association Minifestival of Independent Music, a non-profit organization.
It is intended to publicize independently produced films, without major institutional support or major production companies behind them.
The idea and the illusion are prioritized over the big budgets or the professionalism of the team.
The festival, present for fifteen years in Occitania, proposes to present short fiction and animation films to adults.
Our theme for 2024 will be "The popular party".
An honorary prize from the public and the jury supervised by a professional (eg Alain Guiraudie, Solveig Anspach, Paul Drissen, etc.) is awarded.
The duration (credits included) is thirteen minutes maximum, and will be translated into subtitles in French.
The Asociación Cultural sad Hill convene, within the Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes (Burgos), the contest of short films SECTION WESTERN (VII Edition- 2024).
The SECCIÓN WESTERN continues to be a parallel section of the Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes, although the screenings of the selected short films and the Awards Gala will take place outside the official dates of the Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes.
This decision has been made with the intention of being able to dedicate the time, which due to the characteristics of the genre it addresses, we believe is necessary for the exhibition of the participating projects.
The idea of this section is to pay homage to the western in general and to present a genre that continues to live today.
Vent del Nord – Film Festival is the festival of the Puig de les Basses prison.
This festival will aim to choose the favorite short film rated by the inmates.
The selected ones will be chosen by a small group conformed of film lovers, and the winner will be chosen by the audience of inmates attending during the final day show.
The Happy Valley Animation Festival takes place in State College, PA (Happy Valley) and is an open international animation competition that seeks to showcase animated works in a range of categories. HVAF is screened and exhibited locally and throughout the Pennsylvania State University (University Park) as well as online. We encourage submissions by students, early career, and practicing professional artists, designers, and filmmakers in any of the three categories that include: Animated Short Films, Experimental Animation, and Animated Motion Graphics & Design.
HVAF is a collaboration between organizers and volunteers and is sponsored by the Digital Arts & Media Design (DART) Program and the School of Visual Arts at Penn State, and the Animation Club at Penn State.
“The Quarantine” is an international short film festival aimed at popularizing young and unknown authors among professional filmmakers’ circles. The festival is organized on completely voluntary basis, there are no screening fees and nobody receives any payment.
The festival takes place on the beach at “The Quarantine” fishing village which is the last standing fishing village in Varna, Bulgaria. The village is in danger of disappearing because a luxury residential complex is under construction on the coastline behind it. By provoking cultural exchange between contemporary artists from the whole world and locals, we intend to turn the fishing village into a culture and art zone and to preserve the fishermen’s way of life.
The name of the region “The Quarantine” comes from the past when sailors from commercial ships entering the harbour with suspicion of some kind of disease were taken ashore at the beach for the quarantine period of 40 days. In case they showed no signs of illness, they were allowed access to town. At present, the young authors who have still not found their realisation are in the state of a “Quarantine” – isolated by professional filmmakers’ circles. In analogy to the history of the location, we decided to name the festival “The Quarantine”.
It's a free and open to all short film festival based in Paris (France). Concept is simple : submit 2min20 shortfilms about an imposed theme each year. The SITGES - International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia is a specialized, competitive fantastic genre Festival in accordance with the regulations established by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations). The Festival has also been declared a “Qualified Festival” by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences® in the United States. Rome Prisma Film Awards was founded in 2018 by Stefano Perletta and the production company Il Varco. Hosted by Cinema Azzurro Scipioni, in its first year it saw Silvano Agosti as the president of the jury, a legendary Italian director that has worked alongside the greatest Italian professionals like Ennio Morricone, Vittorio Storaro, Nicola Piovani and many others. Over the course of its second year it moved to Cinema dei Piccoli, one of the oldest movie theaters of Rome, in the heart of Villa Borghese park since 1934.
In September 2020 we embarked on a new path under the curatorship of a new artistic director, Marcello Di Trocchio. During the Covid-19 pandemic that shut down festivals all over the world, we created a monthly streaming on Twitch with a teeming community following us from every corner of the Earth. In July 2021, after the re-opening of cinemas in Italy, we moved to one of the city’s most prestigious and characteristic movie theaters, located in the historic Campo de’ Fiori square: Cinema Farnese, where we started having screenings every two months.
From January 2022 we started a little big revolution: we opened the invitation to the events not only to the Rome-based film audience, but also to all filmmakers who had submitted their own project to our festival in the months preceding the event. In this way, one edition after the other, we contributed to making the Prisma events not only film evenings different from the others, but also a real opportunity to come together for hundreds of filmmakers from all over the world, who all too often feel lost in front of the endless quantity of audiovisual products that every day, at an unstoppable speed, are made, shared and forgotten – and who also feel equally lost in front of the thousands of film festivals that all too often, rather than opportunities to meet, seem to offer laurels to be exhibited on movie posters and social media.
That’s how the Prisma Awards have organically grown into one of the most community driven festivals, gathering over the last three years alone more than 300 artists between directors, producers, actors and movie professionals, coming from all parts of Italy, Europe and the world.
From September 2022, in order to raise the quality of the events, we have started reducing their number: from six a year to three, one every four months, always at Cinema Farnese – each time showcasing short films capable of making the audience laugh, cry, in any case be moved, together in the embracing darkness of the movie hall.
During the course of six years we have received more than 17.000 film projects from 150+ countries and we’ve been reviewed more than 900 times, thus becoming the #1 most reviewed film festival in Europe and one of the best reviewed in general.
Many of the films we’ve screened have passed through first-class festivals, like the short films August Sky by Jasmin Tenucci or Fár by Gunnur Martinsdóttir Schlüter, both winners of the Special Mention at Cannes Film Festival (2021 and 2023 editions), or Censor of Dreams by Leo Berne and Raphaël Rodriguez and Ice Merchants by João Gonzalez, both shortlisted in the Academy Awards (2022 and 2023 editions), or Nate Milton’s Eli from the official selection of Sundance Film Festival. At the same time, we are always proud to bring to the big screen also unpublished gems that we fortunately intercept and that almost nobody else shows.
We never stop collecting the best of emerging cinema, from all kinds of budgets, genres and cultural origins, and we can’t wait to see, day after day, year after year, more stimulating authors and more interested viewers to join us in this beautiful, challenging, creative journey.

The 26th International Festival "Corti da Sogni - Antonio Ricci" is organized by Circolo del Cinema Sogni – Antonio Ricci APS (hereafter referred to as Circolo Sogni), in partnership with the Municipality of Ravenna / Department of Culture and in collaboration with UICC, the company Cinemaincentro, and the cultural association Solaris.
