The festival will take place in just one day, on Sunday 2nd of June, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, in Founder's Building at Royal Holloway.

We are MADRIFF • Madrid Indie Film Festival, an international film festival with monthly screening events from Madrid, Spain, and member of the IBERIFF • Iberia Indie Film Festivals, which celebrates and showcases new productions and independent artists from all over the world in Madrid (MADRIFF), Barcelona (BARCIFF), València (VALÈIFF), Seville (SEVIFF), Lisbon (LISBIFF) and Montpellier (MONTIFF), that you can also find them here in Festhome.
MADRIFF also promotes the selected films on its official website www.iberiff.org and social media channels, where the nominees can share their nominations with their followers. Fiction, animation, documentary and experimental films of any genre and subject are welcome!

IX edition of the Zinetxiki Zinemaldia - International Film Festival for Children and Youth, organised by the cultural association Begira Elkartea, will take place in Bilbao and other Basque cities and towns from 14 to 29 December 2024.
Zinetxiki Zinemaldia aims at offering worldwide quality audiovisual contents to a family audience. Through the projection of selected works in several competitive categories, the festival seeks to promote the audiovisual education and the creation of new audiences.

The Shortcup Film Festival is the world cup of short films. The selected films are distributed in 4 days of exhibition, where each film represents their country and the popular jury votes definies the final round where the winner is chosen in the fifth day.
The festival's main purpose is to merge a competitive film showcase with the casual ambient of a bar; this year, in it's 6th edition it will happen in 4 cities simultaneously, those cities are:

With an eye toward the abstract, the innovative and the weird, Brainwash saluted it's 25th Silver Anniversary in the 2019 season, and, we're still going strong. We have consistently attracted entries we curate to be able to display some of the most cutting edge cinema from up and and coming directors, actors, producers and crews consistently year after year. Madero City International Film Festival (FICCMA), opens admissions for international producers and filmmakers to submit their short films to the festival's 8th edition, which will take place from November 21 to 24 of 2024.
Directed by Women Spain is a film viewing celebration of films directed by women in Spain.
Our celebration is part of the International movement Directed by Women, that for the past 9 years has been dedicated to promote and give visibility to films directed by Women.
Cineteca of Madrid and the CICUS of Seville are hosting the tenth edition with a complete program of short film sessions, feature films, unseen documentaries, sessions for young audiences and children. Filmmakers will be invited to present their pieces to the public and to participate in a Q&A.
There will also be debates, professional gatherings, workshops and a lot of celebration!

The 8th Short Film Festival of the “Côte Bleue” (FCMCB) is a festival for young film directors up to 30 years of age. We are committed to showcasing the works of emerging filmmakers and helping them distribute and promote their shorts. The competition is open to young people from all over the world.
To indigenous and non-indigenous audiovisual filmmakers, of various nationalities and territories, to submit their works on indigenous and/or Afro-descendant themes, free style and extension, of individual or collective creation, to the 8th edition of the FicWallmapu Festival, to be held between on November 14 and 18, 2023, in the city of Temuko, Ngülumapu and surrounding communes of the Mapuche territory, Araucanía Region.
International Short Animated Film Festival - ANISHORT is an international competition that serves to support the animated short films and their creators. At the same time it serves to the promotion, propagation, retrieval and watching possibilities of the best animated short films from around the world.
It should also be a place where community of creative people that producing these films meet. On the other hand, then the place for people who enjoy watching of these films and that are fans of this kind of art.
The festival will take place from 18th October 2023 in several selected cities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia and Poland.
The top 18 short animated films will compete in this competition.
The films will be judged by selected international jury. The jury is composed mostly of professionals or professions closely associated with animation - total 7 judges, each from a different country.
The fourteenth edition of the Student Film Festival FENACIES Uruguay opened its inscriptions on April 1st, and will remain open until June 10th. As every year, all the students from all over the world (from Primary to University) can register their short films totally free, which will be displayed in Montevideo from September 9th to 15th.
FENACIES is an organization founded in 2011 that started with the aim of creating a cinema festival specifically to youth, where competition would be fair and creativity and effort of these would be valued.
At first, the festival was avowed of cultural interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture, educational interest by the Primary Education Council, and tourist interest by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport. Furthermore, in 2015 UNESCO declared it of educational and cultural interest.
The main aim of the festival is to strengthen the audiovisual education between the youngest, and through the short films realization they can express their ideas so that then they can see reflected on the big screen.
During the week, the short films that are selected will be shown in a public and state cinema. On September 15th will be announced the winners in the closing ceremony.
Dedicated to children from 3 to 12 years old, RécréAction takes place at "Temps Machine (37) in Joué-lès-Tours on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
This day aims to awaken the curiosity of the youngest for the Cinema. Through quality projections, readings, workshops and fun demonstrations, this event is a place of exchange but also a space for reflection.
The festival has an international character and all authors with films in compliance with other propositions can participate. Films selected for competition will be judged in two categories:
1. FILM RECIPE - a sort of documentary that should display complete image and/or text instructions for preparation of culinary creations (meals, drinks or deserts), including information about required ingredients and sequence of work. Based on those, after watching film one should be able to prepare the recipe.
2. OPEN CATEGORY - a film that should thematize or depict content related to food and/or drink.
Duration of individual films submitted is limited to 15 minutes.
São Paulo International Short Film Festival is one of the world's largest and most traditional events dedicated to short films. Held in the city of São Paulo since 1990, it has become a landmark in the city's cultural agenda for its broad and diverse programming, which is screened free of charge at several theaters and cultural centers in São Paulo.Every year, the Festival selects around 400 films from a wide range of countries, seeking to represent the diversity and variety of the world's short film production, as well as to broaden the dialogue between international audiovisual and Latin American production.The core axis of its agenda are the International, Latin American and Brazilian film Programs, and a series of special programs is created every year, based on the films submitted to the Festival and on suggestions by curators who visit the most important festivals in Brazil and the world. Programs selected by partner festivals from numerous countries are also screened.The Festival is directed by cultural producer Zita Carvalhosa; and it's organized by Associação Cultural Kinoforum (Kinoforum Cultural Association), a nonprofit organization that carries out activities and projects, and that supports the development of film language and production with emphasis on promoting Brazilian audiovisual.

Note: We've just added some very important categories this years and are now accepting submissions for: Best Actor and Best Actress, and lastly but far from least is the Best Music Image [Photo] catagory. These are in addition to the two categories we added last year, Best Mp3 in any genre and Best Cover Song in a Music Video.
The FESTBOI was born in 2017 in the town of Sant Boi de Llobregat as a sample of the local audiovisual product.
Initially, it was only a short film competition made in 72 hours within the margin of the Sant Boi festival, but currently the festival has a competitive section, of international scope.
In this fifth edition, the festival is a space where you can not only see the best short films of each year, but also a meeting place for directors, audiences and film students.
A quality jury from the world of cinema, arts or culture, make FESTBOI a festival with a personal criterion, paying special attention to the artistic and authorial quality of short films.
