This year's edition will take SCIENCE as a cross-cutting theme. This theme will be complemented by film screenings of works that explore and popularize science.

Special Announcement
In its fifth year, the 2026 Singur Film Festival turns international. In addition to its existing national competition section, this year's international, non-competitive short film section will be a great addition to the program. We hope this will bring a broad cultural perspective and a deeper understanding of world cinema to local filmgoers, enthusiasts, and filmmakers.
Consequently, the Singur Film Festival will henceforth be known as the Singur
International Film Festival.

Under the concept of Converging Boundaries, CINETORO 2026 proposes a curatorial framework inspired by the force of tectonic collision. Just as, in geology, a convergent boundary is the space where two plates collide to destroy the old and raise new mountain ranges and volcanoes, this edition seeks films in which the impact between languages generates new ways of seeing and hearing. We move away from the static reading of maps — those arbitrary divisions of dots and lines — to focus instead on the energy that emerges within the zone of contact, where the friction between the human and the non-human, or between the here and the elsewhere, constructs new narrative geographies.
CINETORO 2026 calls for works that explore processes of collision and emergence. We seek films that use experimentation as a tool to blur political and social boundaries, proposing perspectives that recognize the continuity of the jungle or the vastness of the desert beyond geographical fictions. How does perception transform when cinematic form itself becomes the result of a clash of forces?
In this edition, the border is not an impenetrable wall, but a living zone of creation; a space of formal risk that challenges pre-established categories and allows us to understand, through cinema at the margins, what new unions emerge when we dare to inhabit the liminal state. We seek films that inhabit the interstice: the space that exists precisely in the middle of the line, inviting audiences into a cinematic experience where genres do not simply intersect, but transform one another. We are interested in a cinema of hybridization where documentary, animation, and fiction function like tectonic plates in constant motion.
This is an invitation to a cinema unafraid of crossing and dissolving boundaries; a cinema that inhabits the periphery and the frontier in order to raise, from the margins, new and necessary mountains of imagination.

The Viña del Mar International Film Festival

Acocollona’t, Girona Fantasy and Horror Film Festival, has been held since 2011 as a key meeting point for fans of the genre. For one week, the festival fills the streets and venues of Girona with fantasy and horror cinema, along with dozens of related activities that turn the city into a true hub for genre culture.
Over its 15 editions, more than 600 short films have been screened, consolidating Acocollona’t as a major event within the fantasy and horror film circuit.

Efímera Itinerant Film Festival at the Southern End of the World is a festival that seeks to contribute to the exhibition and promotion of national, Latin American, and Caribbean audiovisual works in the Aysén Region, Chile. From this, its inaugural edition, the film festival is dedicated to the regional public, with the primary purpose of reaching rural areas lacking infrastructure for artistic and cultural development. The 13th Torino Underground Cinefest will take place in late September 2026 at the splendid "Cinema Baretti", in the heart of "San Salvario", one of the city’s most vibrant districts. Once again, this edition confirms the partnership with the distribution company "Piano B", which will ensure theatrical and television distribution of selected feature films and documentaries deemed most suitable for commercialization.
