RISF is a screenwriting and short film festival where we celebrate storytelling and the people who create the stories. The festival is run by multi award-winning screenwriters and filmmakers who are constantly writing, producing and shooting. Their own films have screened and won awards at international film festivals such as Rhode Island and Newport Beach. They live, breathe and eat scripts and films.
A physical festival, it will be hosted within the 1960s architecture of Duke Street Church, with its recently renovated auditorium space, in the heart of the beautiful London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames. The venue is just a five minute walk from the station and close neighbours to the stunning and iconic Richmond Theatre.

The festival will take place on SATURDAY 16th NOVEMBER 2024, including curated SCREENINGS of our short film Official Selections. There will be plenty of networking, opportunities for photos and an Industry Q&A panel session with experienced professionals working in the world of screenwriting and filmmaking. The festival will culminate in our AWARDS CEREMONY. We'll announce the Winners and Runners-Up in each category and present the RISF trophies and certificates for each category. The bar will be open and you can grab a drink and chat to fellow screenwriters, filmmakers and our industry guests.

Cine Curtas Lapa is an independent, non-profit festival with free entry. The Festival aims to show films that were made or have as their theme the city of Rio de Janeiro in order to promote the Brazilian audiovisual industry, especially short films from Rio in the city's most traditional nightlife neighborhood. The Aguilar de Campoo Short Film Festival is consolidated as one of the most veteran and relevant film citations in our country in its genre. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts of Spain, includes it as one of the key festivals for the selection of short films that will compete in the Goya Awards. Throughout the last editions the festival has been making important decisions that commit it to the cinema of our country. In his thirteenth edition he published his manifesto where he exhibited his philosophy and commitment to film. He made the decision to pay for selection to the selected short films thus eliminating economic competition in order to encourage artistic creation and production. Its screening rooms are open to international cinema including all genres, fiction, documentary animation and experimental cinema. In 2016 the festival received recognition from the AIC (Short Film Industry Association). This certificate is an annual distinction to differentiate and reward festivals that perform an exemplary role in the dissemination, protection and professionalization of cinema and its industry, and especially of the short film. This is the first time this certification has been granted and is the result of more than a year of work tables and conversations with festivals, filmmakers and other professionals from across the country in order to develop a guide to good behaviors towards the short film and its creators. The basic objectives of this distinction are to educate new generations of filmmakers and protect model festivals, recognizing their dedication and rigor. We seek the encounter and exchange between professionals and the public as a form of cultural enrichment.
The festival champions great films but is particularly seeking work from those filmmakers who might not yet have had a prestigious public screening of their work.

The FINECAA is an animation film festival dedicated to new experiences/ new technologies. It welcomes any animated short film - partially or entirely produced in animation - which will have participated in renewing the cinematographic genre, whether from a technological point of view, in its format, its storytelling, its narrative construction, the production methods or its relation to the public.
The second version of the CALI HORROR FILM FESTIVAL opens its doors to register your horror audiovisual material this 2024, after a successful first version last year.
It is a space where audiovisual FILMMAKERS of the genre will be able to exhibit their creations and obtain the appropriate recognition and also for FANS of horror to enjoy cinema and share experiences around this genre.

PLUM! is an international animated film festival that aims to
disseminate and promote the art of animation in its diversity of techniques, voices and stories through the exhibition of works by local artists and from the rest of the world.
We wish to generate a platform for independent animation with an emphasis on
those works that expand the visual, conceptual and narrative limits of animated cinema and, at the same time, build a meeting point to promote creativity, exchange and collaboration between artists and the general public.
The two main competitions, one for animated shorts produced in
Latin America and those from the rest of the world will complement each other
with the other activities organized by the PLUM! festival: retrospectives, special programs, activities for children and adolescents, workshops related to the production of animated content, discussion panels, exhibitions and installations, creation of video games and special screenings with the CineMóvil in other parts of the Calchaquíes Valleys, among others. We seek to give the festival an eco-sustainable profile,
diverse and inclusive and generate a close bond of respect, work and cooperation with the different communities that make up the Tafí Valley.
Embark on a cinematic journey with us as we launch the inaugural edition of Decolonizing Frames, a cinematographic review born from a Ph.D. project dedicated to decoloniality, in collaboration with Gomboc and their Ortometraggi Film Festival.
Decolonizing Frames aims to unravel narratives beyond the confines of North-American and European perspectives, celebrating the alternative knowledge and identities of indigenous and native people all over the world.
Nowadays we are living the consequences of colonialism in all its aspects: racism, patriarchy, cultural, economical and political capitalism and hegemony.
Decolonizing Frames seeks to address and dismantle these legacies by shedding light on alternative narratives. Through short films, we aim to disrupt the status quo, encouraging a reevaluation of societal norms and fostering appreciation for diverse knowledge systems and ways of life.
Our goal is to challenge preconceptions and foster appreciation for alternative identities often marginalized as inferior. Through the powerful medium of short films, we encourage producers to showcase the richness of cultures, native languages and ways of living, contributing to a collective understanding of decolonial perspectives. As Freya Schiwy states, “videomakers are then also involved in what might be called a “knowledge revolution”, an effort at decolonizing the mind”.
As the first edition of this cinematographic review, Decolonizing Frames seeks to be a catalyst for meaningful conversations, amplifying voices and narratives that have been historically overlooked. We invite filmmakers to be part of this transformative journey, submitting works that contribute to the discourse on decoloniality and pave the way for future editions of exploration and discovery.
The 1st edition of Decolonizing Frames will be held in 2024 in Turin and Milan. It will premiere in schools participating in the associated Ph.D. project, engaging with students and educators in a multimedial exploration of alternative knowledge. Subsequently, the cinematic review will extend its reach to public spaces in both cities, ensuring broader visibility and encouraging public discourse. In order to enganche the engagement, selected directors will have the opportunity to participate in online interviews, so that they can interact directly with their public and share their visión on decoloniality, fostering a deeper undestanding of the narratives presented in their films.

As part of the festival, we believe that cinema has been built by power and the elite in most cases. The winners have written history and that’s why we decided to create the subject of this year.

What is Claqueta Emérita?
Claqueta Emérita is a national short film festival that favors the production and promotion of audiovisual works made by national creators. Without losing the regional essence of its first years, Claqueta Emérita gives great value to the professional work made in Spain and Extremadura, as well as to the work made by young creators who have in the educational centers their most fervent reflection.
Claqueta Emérita is made up of several activities/actions:
● Short Film Contest aimed at individual or collective filmmakers who hold Spanish nationality.
● Workshops, meetings and audiovisual screenings carried out the days prior to the celebration of the Final Gala in Mérida or in towns of Extremadura.

BWDF is an international event showcasing the best in dance film from around the world, which will take place in Cairo, in December 2023. We will host a special program of dance films alongside the festival's various programs of workshops and live performances.

ON THE SIDELINES OF THE FESTIVAL:
