The 4th Annual 2017 Fine Arts Film festival was held on May 12-13th with celebrities and luminaries from both the art and entertainment worlds hosted by the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art at the Creative Technology Center at The Brewery Art Lofts, Art Share LA, and at the historic Beyond Baroque Theatre in Venice, California.
We screened 48 films from around the world, with over 170 submissions.

This is a short film festival for films 20 minutes or less in length.
This year, we are strongly encouraging entrants to submit a link to private YouTube or Vimeo screener not a hard-copy of the film. If you must submit a hardcopy please use a paper DVD sleeve. When packaging, protect the DVD in a padded envelope, or similar package. Please DO NOT send your dvd in a slim, jewel, or standard DVD case, they almost always break in shipping.
Please note that the ONLY difference in the early submission deadline versus the final submission deadline is the fee discount. The submission process and consideration by the Programming Committee is not affected by the date you submit your film as long as it is postmarked by our final deadline - your chances are equal regardless of the day your film makes it into our offices, as long as it is postmarked by the final deadline!
ALL films submitted to the festival are seen and scored by two or more different programmers. All films that have a higher average, or are a favorite of a programmer, go on to final deliberations. GeNerk selects its films by majority vote and nothing is offered early acceptance.
Film Submissions are non-returnable for any reason.
If a film is accepted, entrants will be solely responsible for delivering their exhibition video materials to and from the festival venue. Complete press kits will be needed as soon after notification as possible. GeNerk cannot be held liable for your exhibition print/video materials which are lost or damaged.

14-й год будет включать в себя новые дополнения и конкурсы! Международный фестиваль и съезд фильмов об отелях ужасов проводятся каждый июнь на северо-востоке Огайо. Мы проводим открытые конкурсы фильмов и сценариев в следующих жанрах: экспериментальный (только фильм), фэнтези, хоррор, комедия ужасов, слэшер, научная фантастика и триллер в стиле саспенс. Мы также принимаем трейлеры, музыкальные клипы, телевизионные пилоты (фильм или сценарий) и веб-эпизоды (фильм или сценарий) для проектов в перечисленных жанрах.
Также объявлен конкурс на участие в нашем конкурсе музыки к фильмам ужасов (заявки принимаются на нашем сайте). На мероприятии мы также проводим живые конкурсы по гриму «Король-крик» и «Королева крика», а также конкурсы гримов от FX.
В этом году мы также проведем второй ежегодный киноконкурс Room 237, где кинематографисты будут соревноваться за создание фильма за 30 дней с использованием орудия убийства, назначенного на стартовом совещании Zoom Off. Более подробная информация о конкурсе фильмов «Номер 237» будет доступна на сайте кинофестиваля «Отели ужасов» к январю 2024 года. Начните создавать свою команду и приготовьтесь к соревнованиям!
