OBIETTIVI
Il Festival intende promuovere la forma espressiva e artistica del cortometraggio dando visibilità a nuovi autori, valorizzando e promuovendo i prodotti della cinematografia e favorire lo scambio e il confronto di esperienze tra i cineasti.

Il Festival si terrà in Piazza Indipendenza 7, a Calcinaia (PI), l'11 novembre 2023.
SEZIONI DEL FESTIVAL
SHORT: Sezione aperta a cortometraggi di qualsiasi genere a tema libero, della durata massima di 20 minuti, titoli di testa e di coda inclusi.
UNDER 35: Sezione aperta a cortometraggi di qualsiasi genere le opere realizzati da registi che, al momento della scadenza del presente bando, non abbiano ancora compiuto 35 anni. Durata massima di 20 minuti, titoli di testa e di coda inclusi.
TOSCANA: Sezione aperta a cortometraggi diretti da registi nati in Toscana. Durata massima di 20 minuti, titoli di testa e di coda inclusi.
Il concorso internazionale che premia la migliore colonna sonora, e dunque il migliore compositore di musica per immagini, avrà come Gran Prix “LA VIOLETTA D’ORO”, fiore simbolo di Parma.
Oltre al primo premio – La Violetta d’Oro – seguirà la “Violetta d’Argento” al miglior film, le Menzioni d’Onore alla migliore Regia, alla migliore Fotografia, al migliore interprete, alla migliore sceneggiatura e al miglior cortometraggio.
Scopo dell’iniziativa è portare all’attenzione del pubblico non solo produzioni cinematografiche di buon livello e di recente produzione, ma anche di sottolineare il valore della scrittura musicale per il cinema come elemento essenziale di poetica e di riuscita del film stesso. Il concorso sarà inoltre un’occasione per cineasti e produttori di presentare il proprio lavoro ad un pubblico vario e ad una qualificata giuria internazionale.
Oltre alla sezione in concorso relativa ai lungometraggi, è inserita anche una sezione relativa ai cortometraggi che concorreranno per un premio apposito.
E’ ammessa al concorso ogni genere di produzione (film a soggetto, film musicale, drammatico, comico, storico, attuale, fiction televisive, film d’animazione) di ogni nazionalità, soggetto e durata.
SEZIONE SPECIALE: cortometraggi di DANZA. Una apposita giuria premierà il miglior video con il "DANCE AWARD".
La Cerimonia di Premiazione si terrà alla Casa della Musica di Parma il 26 settembre 2026 alle ore 17.00 con Cena di Gala alla quale saranno invitati tutti i referenti dei film in nomination.
La scadenza per l’iscrizione è il 10 giugno 2026.
L’Associazione Culturale “Il Sogno di Ulisse”, con l’alto patrocinio del Parlamento Europeo e il sostegno di MiC Direzione Generale Cinema e Regione Lazio, bandisce la 12^ edizione di Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival che si terrà nel mese di Settembre 2023 presso il Cinema Teatro Ariston di Gaeta (LT). Le date ufficiali della rassegna, che durerà 8 giorni, saranno pubblicate alla scadenza del bando, insieme al programma, sul sito www.visionicorte.it
Il festival «Uhvati film» (Seize the Film) si svolge a Novi Sad (Serbia), Rijeka (Croazia) e Kotor (Montenegro).
Attraverso una selezione di film tematicamente e artisticamente distintiva, il festival mira a promuovere il potenziale delle persone con disabilità, sensibilizzare l'opinione pubblica sulle sfide che devono affrontare (con particolare attenzione al moltiplicarsi dei gruppi emarginati) e contribuire alla promozione dei diritti dei disabili.
I film selezionati per il programma di Novi Sad verranno presi in considerazione per le proiezioni a Rijeka e Kotor, nonché per i programmi di post-produzione (in tutti i paesi).
Gli organizzatori del festival (KAO Parnas — Serbia, Spirit Association — Croazia, NGO Art 365 — Montenegro) contatteranno personalmente gli autori dei film selezionati.
Alcuni film potrebbero non essere inclusi nel programma principale di Novi Sad, ma potrebbero entrare a far parte del programma «Uhvati film Kids». Gli autori verranno informati di conseguenza.
Mountain & Culture è un'organizzazione culturale senza scopo di lucro il cui obiettivo è avvicinare la comunità sportiva e la gente della città per offrire film, mostre e tutti i tipi di attività incentrate sugli sport di montagna, l'avventura, l'ambiente e la cultura dei popoli.
Il Festival crea anche una piattaforma per lo scambio di idee tra registi, atleti e pubblico, sostenendo al contempo i modi più artistici ed efficaci per comunicare tutto ciò che riguarda il mondo della montagna. L'obiettivo di questo festival è sottolineare l'importanza dell'ecologia, dell'ambiente, della conservazione delle montagne e della natura nel mondo di oggi. Il Festival presenta anche una regione spettacolare per praticare sport d'avventura, estremi e alpinismo, attraverso la geografia del cinema.

FesticineKids 27 è un festival internazionale di film per bambini e giovani a Cartagena de Indias, è un concorso cinematografico che orienta i suoi sforzi verso il rafforzamento della produzione e della distribuzione del cinema colombiano, latinoamericano e mondiale per bambini e giovani.
Nel 2025, FesticineKids raggiunge la sua 27a edizione con lo stesso spirito di mettere in risalto e celebrare il cinema per ragazze, ragazzi e giovani. La frase è stata scelta come slogan: I VALORI DEI NOSTRI BAMBINI. Partendo da questo concetto si intende invitare bambini e giovani a essere consapevoli della responsabilità che hanno di essere agenti di cambiamento nei loro ambienti. I bambini e i giovani sono il futuro che dovrebbe incoraggiare la cura del nostro pianeta terra, degli esseri umani che li circondano, degli animali e delle piante, nonché dei luoghi che visitano. La tendenza ai film afro e a quelli orientati alle popolazioni indigene.
Nella costruzione del profilo del FesticineKids 27, lo schermo viene problematizzato come punto di confluenza di ragazze, ragazzi e adolescenti. Postulando il cinema come quello scenario in cui si esprimono sentimenti, emozioni e convinzioni, si intende che ragazze, ragazzi e adolescenti, comprendendo ciò che il cinema li evoca, cosa ne estraggono e i suoi significati, si interrogino sul posto che il cinema ha nella loro vita, nel loro ambiente, parallelamente al luogo che vogliono e sognano.
È anche un'opportunità per adulti, genitori, insegnanti, autorità culturali e cinematografiche, di riflettere sulla necessità di rafforzare le loro capacità di essere formatori in tensione e interazione con i media audiovisivi, in particolare il cinema.

Filmfest homochrom is one of the youngest LGBT film festival in Germany, but it is already one of the biggest, too. That’s why we are giving our best to establish an outstanding programme.
We are very honoured and proud that audiences have heartily embraced our first film festivals, and that we were able to show so many great premieres (about 70% of the films were German premieres in 2014).

La 16a edizione dello Student Film Festival FENACIES Uruguay ha aperto le iscrizioni il 1° aprile e rimarrà aperta fino al 30 maggio. Come ogni anno, tutti gli studenti di tutto il mondo (dalla elementare all'università) possono registrare i loro cortometraggi in modo totalmente gratuito, che verranno proiettati a Montevideo dal 7 al 13 settembre.
FENACIES è un festival internazionale di cinema studentesco con 16 anni di storia ininterrotta in Uruguay, dedicato alla formazione, all'esibizione e all'incoraggiamento dei giovani registi.
L'obiettivo principale del festival è rafforzare l'educazione audiovisiva tra i più giovani e, attraverso la realizzazione di cortometraggi, possono esprimere le loro idee, in modo che possano poi essere viste riflesse sul grande schermo. Si tratta sempre di discernere con criteri di creatività e idee e di cercare una concorrenza leale e leale in base alle età in gara.
Durante la settimana del festival verranno proiettati i cortometraggi selezionati. Domenica 13 settembre, i vincitori saranno annunciati durante la cerimonia di chiusura.
11° Kolkata Shorts International Film Festival-22 è un insieme di creatività cinematografica e follia di cine-frequentatori della bellissima città di Calcutta. La città di Kolkata è il fulcro del cinema bengalese, una ricca cultura e meta di molti registi in erba dal secolo scorso. L'obiettivo del festival è quello di dare slancio al cortometraggio e promuovere la crescita di una nuova razza di registi.
L'umile viaggio di KSIFF è iniziato nel 2012 per celebrare i 100 anni di celebrazione del cinema indiano e per salutare il contributo dell'industria cinematografica bengalese allo sviluppo del cinema in India. Le edizioni del festival dal 2012 al 2021 hanno avuto un enorme successo con la partecipazione di tutta l'India e le nazioni straniere e sono il festival trendsetter in India e ora molto richiesto dai giovani registi.

Attention to all film talents: From 21 November 2017 until 31 January 2018, filmmakers will have the chance to apply for the LET’S CEE Short Film Competition 2018. Not only are two main prizes waiting to be won, moreover, ten finalists will receive an invitation to participate in the second edition of the LET’S CEE Talent Academy in Vienna!
Between 21 November 2017 and 31 January 2018, filmmakers up to the age of 35 from Central and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus region, Turkey and Austria will have the possibility to submit their short films to the Short Film Competition of the LET’S CEE Film Festival 2018.
However, filmmakers of all ages and from all over the world are welcome as well to send in thematically fitting contributions. Due to the festival’s geographical focus on CEE though, these short films will not be included in the main Short Film Competition, but will very well have the chance to win the Audience Award in the Short Film category and be screened at the festival in the section Short Films | Out of Competition. We furthermore cordially encourage international makers of virtual reality films, 3D productions and avant-garde pieces to apply as we will be offering these genres a stage at our festival as well.
The theme of the Short Film Competition 2018 is TOGETHER OR APART.
Great Britain voted for the Brexit last year and in doing so decided against a EU membership; most recently thousands of Catalan people went to the streets demanding independence from Spain; under the presidency of Donald Trump, the USA is seeking to withdraw from the Paris climate protection agreement and renegotiate various other commercial treaties – these are only three of many examples demonstrating the recent shift of the political mood in numerous countries. A growing migratory pressure, an increasing gap between the rich and poor, as well as justified and unsubstantiated fears – of the consequences of digitalisation, of the loss of jobs and stability and of social change – have discredited globalisation and encouraged a comeback of nationalist and isolationist tendencies, which seemed utterly unfathomable only a few years ago. Even on a national scale, societal cohesion appears to be threatened more and more. How does the growing division of society influence both the community and individuals? Will political agitation, hatred, egotism and greed for profit become the new normal? Well, the situation is critical, but not hopeless, neither on an international nor a national level. There are still representatives of the civil society who make no effort to surrender to the threatening eroding solidarity. Fortunately, there are numerous instances proving how people still advocate for the poor and disadvantaged with great optimism, dedication and empathy – people who rather pay attention to what we have in common instead of what keeps us apart.
The competition’s theme, TOGETHER OR APART, may be manifested in the submitted material in various manners and methods. Interpersonal aspects, such as family and relationship dramas, trials and tribulations, moments of success and happiness or the joint overcoming of challenges can be taken into account just as well as social, political, juridical and/or cultural matters. In other words: everything is possible, as long as it touches on the topic and is done well!
An advisory board chaired by the renowned Austrian-Iranian filmmakers Arash T. Riahi and Arman T. Riahi will choose the best contributions from the submissions for the LET’S CEE Short Film Competition. The short films, which will be screened out of competition, will be selected by the Bosnian-Dutch producer Denis Mujović and festival director Magdalena Żelasko.
After the presentation of the participating productions at the festival, an international jury will decide on the winner of the competing short films and, thus, who will be awarded the main prize – 1,500 Euro and a Urania statuette – at the Awards Ceremony in the Urania Cinema on 20 April 2018. The remaining short films presented during the festival will have, without exception, the chance to win the 1,500 Euro Audience Award in the category Short Film.
All filmmakers who will take part in the main Short Film Competition will additionally profit from their participation. At the expense of the festival, one of the involved filmmakers of each short film will be invited as an official guest*) to Vienna in order to present their work. Those persons will, furthermore, have the opportunity to join the second edition of the LET’S CEE Talent Academy.
15 remaining free seats for the Talent Academy will be filled by Out-of-Competition filmmakers. The most important items on the one-week Academy agenda include the attendance of LET’S CEE Master Classes and LET’S CEE Industry Days, the collaborative finalisation of a short film about Vienna, and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pitch a film idea to Raindance film festival director Elliot Grove (and win big!) at the Pitching Competition. Of course, all invited filmmakers will enjoy several Get-togethers, where they can get in touch with successful distributors, directors, producers, actors etc., exchange experiences and new ideas and thus strive to new projects and international collaborations. In order to enable as many filmmakers as possible to visit LET’S CEE and present their work to the festival audience, all participants of the section ‘Short Films | Out of Competition’ will receive free festival accreditations and discounts for the official hotel partner on request.
