The Central American Film Festival in Vienna has become a firmly rooted tradition, establishing itself as a key cultural event in the city.
Vienna, recognized as one of the world’s most important cultural hubs, provides an ideal and prestigious platform to showcase the increasingly innovative and notable productions emerging from the Central American region.
This year, the festival returns from November 17 to 22, 2025, with the hope of once again welcoming our loyal audience, who will have the opportunity to enjoy the latest and most outstanding works of Central American cinema.
The program includes the categories of Feature Film, Short Film, Documentary, and Animation, along with several non-competitive parallel sections, including: “Pioneers of Central American Cinema,” “Works in Progress,” “Guest Film,” “Bonus Films,” and “Latin American View,” the latter dedicated to works portraying contemporary life in Latin America. Le Festival du Cinéma d’Amérique centrale à Vienne est devenu une tradition solidement ancrée, s’imposant comme un événement culturel de référence dans la ville.
Vienne, reconnue comme l’un des centres culturels les plus importants au monde, offre une scène idéale et prestigieuse pour mettre en lumière les productions de plus en plus innovantes et remarquables provenant de la région centraméricaine.
Cette année, le festival revient du 17 au 22 novembre 2025, dans l’espoir d’accueillir à nouveau notre fidèle public, qui pourra découvrir le meilleur et le plus récent du septième art centraméricain.
Le programme comprend les catégories Long-métrage, Court-métrage, Documentaire et Animation, ainsi que plusieurs sections parallèles non compétitives, parmi lesquelles : « Pionniers du Cinéma Centraméricain », « Œuvres en Cours », « Film Invité », « Bonus Films » et « Regard Latino-Américain », cette dernière consacrée aux œuvres qui dépeignent la vie contemporaine en Amérique latine. The closing date for the festival registrations is extended to July 31, 2025, the official selection notifications will be sent on August 31, 2025, the list of finalist films will be published on September 15, 2025, The Sports Cinema Week will take place in Palermo from December 1 to 7, 2025.
Here are the prizes awarded in each edition. Four main categories: best Olympic film, best Paralympic film, best football film and best E-Sport film. The awarded sections are for best feature film, best short film, best documentary, best fiction, best direction, best actor, best sports protagonist, best editing, best screenplay, best sound, films are also awarded with special prizes: Distributor award, social award, jury award, Other Cinema award (non-sporting subject) and the “School & University” award. All the films that have been selected will receive an participation plaque during the final ceremony of the festival.

O “fogo que corre”: o 1º BOITATÁ – FESTIVAL PARANAENSE ITINERANTE DE CINEMA DE HORROR espalhará o seu fogo fátuo pelo interior do Estado do Paraná, incendiando as mentes e roubando os olhares às cidades de Matinhos, Marechal Cândido Rondon, Rolândia e União da Vitória. Seu caráter itinerante busca promover acesso democrático à cultura, difundindo o cinema de horror nacional pelo estado, além das cidades de grande porte.
O festival será de acesso gratuito e contará com mostras de longas, curtas-metragens e curtas universitários, assim como, uma sessão especial apresentando clássicos do gênero. Todas as mostras contarão com produções realizadas em território brasileiro e não terão caráter competitivo. Além disso, o evento promoverá oficinas, palestras e mesas redondas contando com palestrantes convidados.
Assim como o monstro, serão exibidos, sob a tela de cinema, filmes que revelam aqueles que se apropriam de olhares sobre a cultura brasileira.

Nambrocorto is the short film festival of Nambroca, a town located in the province of Toledo, Spain. Since its creation in 2016, its main goal has been to promote artistic creation, audiovisual culture, and a love for cinema among the town’s residents and visitors, by rewarding the creativity and talent of those who participate each year in its call for entries.
What began as a local festival has evolved, thanks to the enthusiasm of the audience and the commitment of its organizers, into a cultural event with great potential. Over its nine previous editions, Nambrocorto has experienced exponential growth in the number of participants, attendees, and activities, becoming a regional reference.
In its 10th edition in 2025, the festival reaffirms its role as a cultural event of regional and national scope, consolidating its expanded format with several days of screenings, workshops, talks, exhibitions, concerts, and interactive activities aimed at all audiences. Audiovisual professionals from all over Spain will once again share their experiences with the community in a participatory and welcoming environment.
Since launching its official website and digital channels in 2021, Nambrocorto has entered a new phase of expansion and visibility. These tools have allowed the festival to broaden its reach nationwide, with the aspiration of soon welcoming international participants.
