LA PECCA -Small Environmental Film Contest- was born in 2007 by the DeFrente Association.

The main purpose of this project is to promote respect for sexual and gender diversity through cinema, contributing to the development of a plural and inclusive society.
Taking a quality film event as a vehicle, we show plural life stories and encourage people to visibly live their sexual and gender identity, to promote social awareness and claim at the same time the right of the LGTBIQ + community to be present in culture and in society equally.

We also give visibility and support to quality cinematography, promoting the discovery of new talents.

ASOCIACIÓN DEFRENTE is a non-profit organization in Seville that was established in 2006. Since its inception, its objectives have been aimed at serving the lesbian, gay, transsexual and bisexual community in response to a social demand by being this group in a situation of marginalization and discrimination in many areas of daily life.

The Bastalavista is a Genre Film Festival established in Hannover (Germany) in 2019. The festival is founded and run only by two people: Wiebke and Johannes Thomsen, the two owners and operators of the awarded LODDERBAST movie theater in Hannover, with 28 seats on 39 squaremeters the smallest movie theater in the world and one of a kind with homemade food and more than 100 different craft beers.

The festival defines the "genre" film as science-fiction, fantasy, horror, action, thriller, mystery or dark comedy including forward-thinking, experimental and dark interpretations of the traditional film genres.

This event, which also includes various cultural activities, has become a crucial event for the Animation industry in our country over the years, also promoting the cultural and tourist industry in the southern region of Peru. Additionally, through our in-person activities, we aim to boost tourism in our region by creating a tourist route with a cultural and historical focus.

This year's festival will take place from October 2 to October 5, 2024, renewing the commitment to showcase the artistic expression of animation.

Participants include artists from the animated audiovisual field and other disciplines, from the Puno region, Peru, and various countries around the world, who through their expression make each edition a contemporary Andean experience.

We are happy to invite all the filmmakers around the world to show their audiovisual works, short films, feature films, documentary etc. in the heart of the artistic and creative atmosphere of Barcelona where the most important directors of the world as Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu, Woody Allen, Pedro Almodovar etc. have been shooting their masterpieces.


Primavera Film will be an itinerant festival all around Barcelona, during the whole spring, in some of the most beautiful location of the city, like for example Plaza del Pì in the heart of the old city or the romantic atmosphere of Plaza del Sol in Gracia, where you can enjoy the amazing and creative mood of the city.

Primavera Film Festival will start on spring 2021, April 01.

ENTRY RULES

Submission Date:
- Entries must have been completed on or after January 1, 2018.
- We accept entries between 01/07/2020 and 31/03/2021

Language:
- Foreign language movies must be subtitled in English or Spanish. For the selected movies in the official competition we will ask a spanish subtitled version for screening.

Format:
- We accept all kind of audiovisual works and any film genre: feature films (between 60 min. and 180 min.), short films (between 1 min. and 30 min.), documentary, videoclip etc.

SUBMISSION REGULATIONS

Entry submission:
- Entries must be submitted via an online platform and include a working screener accessible via that platform in order to be considered.
Notification:
- Films selected for screening will be notified on or around April 1st, 2021.

REQUIRED SUBMISSION MATERIALS
- Entry Fee paid via Festhome. DVD are not accepted. Only by request we can accept files through Wetransfer or similar platforms and fees payment through PayPal.
- A working screener accessible via your film’s profile on Festhome or Vimeo. We also welcome works in progress, trailers, reels and other kind of distribution material.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

- The filmmaker has read and understood all the rules and regulations. The filmmaker is duly authorized to submit this film to the Primavera Film Festival Barcelona.
- Primavera Film Festival Barcelona reserves the right to disqualify any submission without refund of submission fees.
- Films could have publicly screened in the Barcelona area prior to the festival and world premieres are not requirements for Primavera Film Festival Barcelona, but this information is taken into consideration when making final programming decisions.
- All accepted films may be screened more than once, and are scheduled at the discretion of the Primavera Film Festival Barcelona staff.
- Films produced or financed by a major motion picture studio are eligible for festival screenings and also eligible for competitive awards. Films that have acquired distribution are eligible for festival screenings but are not eligible for competitive awards.
- Upon submission, the filmmaker consents to allowing their screener material to be shared in its entirety with appropriate Primavera Film Festival Barcelona staff, including programming staff, volunteer screeners, and other appropriate members of staff; shared with press outlets in efforts to secure press for the film; with final jury members; and with select individuals representing community partners who may be interested in supporting the film’s screening or taking part in a panel associated with the film.
-The festival is hereby also granted the right to utilize image(s) and/or biographical information of the filmmakers for promotional purposes. The festival reserves the right to fill in any information not supplied by the filmmaker from whatever source available and will not be responsible if incorrect information is entered.
- It is the responsibility of the filmmaker to secure authorization for any copyrighted material that may be used in the film. The filmmaker shall indemnify and hold harmless Primavera Film Festival Barcelona from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
- Primavera Film Festival Barcelona does not pay screening fees or guarantee travel or distribution for filmmakers. Anyway we will be happy to invite all the selected filmmakers in Barcelona during the festival.
- By submitting, the filmmaker expressly acknowledges and agrees that they shall be bound by the terms of this agreement.

Born in 1959 as the Iberian American and Filipino International Documentary Film festival of Bilbao, it was created as a younger brother of sorts to the San Sebastian Film Festval. Sixty years later, Zinebi International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao has gained its own place as one the main international festivals of its kind, and is now a test field for new trends in contemporary filmmaking, as well as a truly useful platform for the most daring filmmakers, all within a frame of professional criticism, debate and specialisation.


Among the festival guests, international judges or awarded authors, great names can be found, such as Roman Polanski, Marco Bellocchio, Jean Rouch, Basilio M. Patino, Julio Medem or Carlos Saura.



OSCAR®, BAFTA AND GOYA AWARDS QUALIFYING FESTIVAL: The Zinebi Grand Prix winner will automatically qualify for consideration for the annual Academy Awards® organised by the Hollywood Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science and for the BAFTA awards.
