In 1998, the Benalmádena Cinematographic Youth Association (ACIBE) recovered the spirit of the defunct SICAB (Benalmádena International Author's Film Week, 1969-1989) to undertake the project of creating a film festival for the city. The result, after seventeen years of management, is the Benalmádena International Short Film and Alternative Film Festival (FICCAB), a meeting forum for lovers of quality cinema. More than four hundred short films are presented each year at a festival for all ages that unites the glamor of the stars to the best auteur, independent, alternative and unknown cinematographies, paying special attention to European ones.
PLAY is the first Portuguese film festival, exclusively dedicated to children and teenagers, determined to promote the access to culture for a younger audience through Cinema and screening films for audiences aged between 1 and 16 years old.
The Jeju International Drone Film Festival (JDFF), hosted by JIBS and supervised by the Jeju International Drone Film Festival Organizing Committee, is the first drone film festival in Korea. The Oruro International Film Festival is headquartered in the city of Oruro (Plurinational State of Bolivia).
The city is known for its cultural and folkloric wealth, being the Oruro Carnival its greatest expression. This Carnival, which annually gathers thousands of national and international visitors, was declared in 2001 as "Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity" by UNESCO, thus recognizing the multicultural and religious value it expresses.
The Festival, whose eleventh edition will be held from October 17 to 24, 2025, aims to recognize and disseminate national and international cinematographic works that show strong artistic, aesthetic and human values.
The Benin City Film Festival was launched in November 2018, as a new entity that offers a platform encouraging and promoting the works of local (community based) as well as National, and International emerging filmmakers. It is a cost friendly platform for showcasing these works in an environment where they have access to experienced industry professionals. BCFF is the only independent film festival in Edo State, and the only film festival that takes place in Benin City. BCFF screens premieres of international and national feature films, short films and documentaries on social issues. TIAF- Tbilisi International Animation Film Festival is an international event, promoting Animation Art and Industry Development Culture through Caucasus region and Internationally. TIAF is part of Caucasus Con, an educational and entertaining International event, dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, animation, video game and related popular Art Forms, primarily through the presentation of events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of animation art and culture.

Festival of Future Storytellers has been one of the most important festivals for young filmmakers worldwide since 1981. The 9th Ajayu International Animation Festival is a cultural event organized by Sapa Inti Studios and the Ajayu Cinematographic Association. Established in 2012 as a quarterly screening series in Toronto, Canada, Shorts That Are Not Pants is now a festival weekend held each November.
We've screened more than 350 films from 41 countries so far, and we're looking for more undiscovered gems to show our shorts-savvy Toronto audiences. Members of our programming team have experience working for some of the biggest and best festivals in the world (TIFF, Sundance, Hot Docs, Cannes) and travel to festivals around the world seeking out the best films and the brightest filmmakers to support.
Your submission will be evaluated by our team and if chosen, will screen at our festival in November 2020. We have eight years of great programming experience behind us, with lots of audience momentum.
