Syncro is a national and international short film festival dedicated to elevating and showcasing the short film format. The festival offers a new approach to viewing short films by programming each film in an individual screening. We firmly believe that short films are not a lesser format or merely a learning stage in filmmaking. On the contrary, they represent cinema in its most potent and compact expression.

CFF is the first outdoors film festival of its kind in Lebanon. The festival, which was launched in 2009 by “Laboratoire D’art”, has become an annual short film event which celebrates and promotes local and international short films as an independent form of art in a non-competitive public event, away from competition, prizes and entrance fees.
Cabriolet Film Festival next year’s topic is centered around the concept of "DISOBEY".
In a world often dominated by conformity and convention, “Disobey” embodies the courage to forge your own path, challenge norms, and stand up for what you believe in. It is about breaking free from societal expectations, daring to be different, and embracing the resilience it takes to remain authentic, even when the road is difficult.
We invite filmmakers from around the globe to explore the multifaceted dimensions of disobedience: as a form of personal liberation, a statement of identity, and an unwavering commitment to a cause. Your short films can capture stories of those who resist, challenge authority, push boundaries, and refuse to compromise their beliefs.
Whether subtle or bold, peaceful or provocative, stories of disobedience are tales of empowerment, persistence, and individuality. Through this theme, we seek to celebrate the transformative power of “disobedience” and the voices that rise above conformity.
Join us on June 6, 7, and 8, 2025, to showcase films that challenge, inspire, and empower.
Let’s celebrate the beauty of rebellion and the freedom found in following your own path.
-AL BORDE International Transfeminist Film Festival is a platform for exhibition, getting together, and for Artivist, sexual-dissident, communal, and Transfeminist Trans-formation. It was born from the desire and urgency to circulate and provoke narratives and audiovisual pedagogies that create conditions of visibility for existences that surpass the limits of what is possible.
Our purpose is to contribute to make filmmaking a space of rebellion, freedom, healing, meeting, and love, so that we who live in the borders of gender, sexuality, corporal normativity and feminisms can look at and narrate ourselves in our own terms, uniting our diverse fights.
In our first edition in 2021 we decided that the festival would be biannual, hybrid (virtual and presential) and itinerant. This is why in 2023 we are carrying out our second edition named Misbehaved Gazes, where the focus will be on audiovisuals that offend, disturb, scandalize and corrupt the cis-tem. Gazes incarnated in bodies that have violently experimented the regime imposed by the heteropatriarchal, colonial, capitalist, racist, speciesist, binary order, expert in the production of images and cinematographic stories to sustain its hegemony. We are especially interested in underrepresented stories inside of LGBTIQ+, feminist, and communal film spaces.
