The Ames International Children's Film Festival is back, an event that wants to make children dream, think, smile, and awaken emotions, consciences, and illusions. It is for this reason that in this fifth edition ecology will be the common thread of the broad agenda of proposals that will take place from November 14 to 17.
There will be four days in which more than 50 short films and audiovisual works from different parts of the world will be screened, so that children from Ames, the region, and all of Galicia enjoy animation, fantasy, adventures, superheroes... bringing out the curiosity for the world of cinema and all that lies behind it, as well as raising awareness of environmental protection.

The International Film Festival of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (Cinema Movilh) is shown on feature films, shorts and documentaries largest and best known of Chile that takes place every year in Santiago and then travels sexual diversity regions. The islands of the world, through the oceans and the continents of the planet, conceal important cultural and patrimonial wealth, as much by their variety, their specificity as by their authenticity. The islanders, being cut off from the continent, are forced to live in osmosis with their environment, to vibrate to the rhythm of the elements of their natural setting, and to dominate the rigors of their daily life by giving free rein to their creative imagination and their innovative spirit. The Santander Film Festival, with its main headquarters in Centro Botín, was born in September 2017 as a film week. Since then, it has been held every year with success in six editions and with great film professionals such as Isabel Coixet, Julio Medem, Antonio Resines, Carlos Saura and Pablo Trapero. Last year the week became a Festival, including two competitive categories, among other novelties that we will maintain in this new edition.
The Festival was born with a clear focus on creativity, entrepreneurship and youth, and these are precisely the traits that are reinforced edition after edition.
In the eighth edition we will maintain our desire to internationalize, programming a selection of the best Ibero-American films of the year, and also focusing on great film professionals to whom we will pay tribute through our retrospectives.

The Sogamoso Independent Film Festival - FECISO has established itself as a vital space for the exhibition and promotion of Colombian cinema in Boyacá, highlighting the diversity and richness of the country's audiovisual narratives. It has also stood out for being a regional window for the circulation of international cinema in Colombia. In 2025, the Festival will hold its ninth edition from November 1 to 7 in the municipalities of Sogamoso, Nobsa and Tibasosa, province of Sugamuxi, Boyacá.
FECISO begins the search for short and feature films that reflect the social, cultural and political realities of Colombia and the world. The curatorial line is focused on highlighting works that address issues such as the environment, violence, armed conflict and the cultural diversity of the territories.

The jury is composed of filmmakers and distinguished film professionals: Percival Argüero Mendoza, a graduate of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Cinematographic Training Center, winner of the Silver Medal at the Academy Student Oscars; director Rommel Villa, winner of the Student Oscar; producer Chantal Rodríguez, recently nominated to the Ariel Awards and winner at the DOCSMX festival with her short film "El Viajero Subterráneo"; Alfredo Castruita from Los Angeles Film School, known for his feature film "POTOSÍ," winner as Best Mexican Film at the Guanajuato festival and three times nominee to the Ariel Awards; director and cinematographer Sergio Ruiz Velasco de Alba creator of the film "Longings yet to be" and young director Diego Sepulveda, former student at the École International de Création Audiovisuelle et Réalisation in Paris, the TISCH School of the Arts in New York, and the Academy of Arts in San Francisco. Completing the jury for 2023/2024 are Léa Soler, a young French filmmaker and director of the acclaimed short film "Corpúsculo," and Andrea Porras, a producer renowned for her work on "Sweet Potatoes", a Student Oscar winning film.
The jury will select the winners of each competition and award two prizes at the end of the festival to promote the production of short films:
Grand Jury Prize: USD 1500.
Young Promise Award: USD 1000.
Additionally, the audience will have the opportunity to vote and choose the "People's Choice Award," which will also receive a cash prize of USD 1000.
All filmmakers registered in the competition will receive, regardless of the results, a "Filmmaker Pass" for the festival with access to all screenings, Q&A sessions, conferences, red carpet events, photocall, and cocktails throughout the festival.
