The Various Artists independent Film Festival (VAiFF) is pleased to announce the 3rd year of our 21st century festival on the heels of our yearly festival, awards ceremony, workshops and wrap party!
This unique festival was created to provide artists with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and engage in healthy competition with their talented peers. And with the removal of the 2 year project completion stipulation on submissions - we strongly believe that a filmmaker’s passion should not be limited by an expiration date - VAiFF is perfect for filmmakers looking for that ‘big break’ and looking to take ‘one more shot’.
Highlights:
VAiFF screens all content submissions in their entirety. Once the semi-finalists (per submission quarter) have been selected, ONLY YOUR PROJECT'S TRAILER or SIZZLE REEL or (:15)s of your music video will be online for viewers to vote on. There is a 30 day voting period where members of your social media community, friends, and family will view and vote for your project.
The projects in each category with the most/positive amounts of votes will move on to the FINALE competition.
After the FALL quarter, the process continues with the WINTER, SPRING and SUMMER quarters. The nominees from these quarters will compete in the FINALE COMPETITION.
In October of 2020, all the semi-finalists’ films will be screened at the Various Artists independent Film Festival Competition and Awards Ceremony, which will again be held in Chicago, IL.
Filmmakers, industry leaders, and film lovers will enjoy a weekend full of films, networking, Q&A sessions, seminars and a fun-filled wrap party to make this an event people will not want to miss.
Producers securing quarterly nominations will receive prizes, and at the LIVE event, the top 9 winning films will be presented with a VAiFF PERSONALIZED CRYSTAL AWARD along with other perks.
L'Associazione Culturale Senza Scopo di Lucro ACCIONS 3E sta convocando e organizzando il 29° Festival Internazionale del Cinema Ambientale SUNCINE, che si terrà dal 2 al 10 novembre 2023.
SUNCINE, precedentemente noto come FICMA, si è tenuto per la prima volta nel 1993 ed è considerato il più antico festival cinematografico ambientale del mondo; è un riferimento nel suo genere.
SUNCINE è un festival multischermo (dal vivo, online e televisivo). Il suo obiettivo principale è promuovere, diffondere e pubblicizzare opere audiovisive ambientali per sensibilizzare sullo stato dell'ambiente, sulla biodiversità e sulla sostenibilità del pianeta.
FRONTERA SUR, International Son-Fiction Film Festival, è un evento non competitivo che espone una serie di opere cinematografiche, cilene, latinoamericane e mondiali legate al concetto di cinema di saggistica.
La sesta edizione del FRONTERA SUR Festival si svolgerà dal 14 al 18 maggio 2024 nella città di Concepción, nella regione del Biobío, nel sud del Cile.
Il Bogotà International Documentary Film Festival (MIDBO), organizzato dalla Documentary Filmmakers Guild ALADOS della Colombia, è un evento specializzato nel cinema di saggistica che negli ultimi 26 anni si è consolidato in Colombia e in America Latina come spazio fondamentale per l'esposizione, il dialogo e la riflessione sull'audiovisivo di saggistica.
Per quanto riguarda il 27 MIDBO, vorremmo invitare registi e produttori locali e iberoamericani a presentare le loro opere audiovisive al nostro invito per i film del 2025 e a partecipare ai vari spazi formativi e di dibattito che si svolgeranno virtualmente e in loco durante tutto il festival.

Quest'anno la 27a edizione di MIDBO si svolgerà dal 29 ottobre al 7 novembre a Bogotá, in Colombia. Nel corso dell'anno, MIDBO proietterà diversi film in diverse regioni del paese e manterrà lo slot MIDBO-ALADOS Tuesday in diverse sale alleate.
Dopo 26 edizioni, MIDBO continua a lavorare per ospitare un evento che promuova la fiducia e la fiducia nella riflessione sul cinema documentario e sui diversi approcci alla rappresentazione della realtà. Il nostro interesse principale sta nell'esplorare la miriade di modi di catturare il mondo. Impegnati a svelare le complessità di una realtà che ci supera, ci impegniamo ogni anno per creare uno spazio ideale per il coinvolgimento collettivo nella realizzazione di documentari.
Nel 2025, restiamo impegnati a promuovere la creatività e a riconoscere gli sforzi dei registi. Quindi, presenteremo due sezioni competitive: una nazionale e l'altra iberoamericana. In queste sezioni, assegneremo premi per il miglior documentario nazionale, che comprende cortometraggi e lungometraggi, e il miglior lungometraggio documentario iberoamericano, incentrato su film di durata superiore a 60 minuti prodotti in Ibero-America. La giuria di ogni concorso sarà annunciata un mese prima dell'evento e sarà composta da tre (3) artisti, registi, scrittori, critici o manager culturali provenienti dalla Colombia e da tutto il mondo.
La strada romana VIA XIV attraversa la valle di Monterrey da 2.000 anni. Oggi le strade e le ferrovie, alcune costruite sulle antiche strade romane, altre parallele e a breve distanza, ci danno un'idea della sua importanza e validità.
Durante tutto questo periodo sono stati un percorso di nuove idee, progresso e cultura. Il festival del cortometraggio di Verin vuole continuare questo percorso culturale, attirando lo sguardo dei creatori di tutto il mondo intorno al carnevale, all'emigrazione e al confine.

DESCRIZIONE
La Colombia diventa il palcoscenico per discutere le attuali questioni ambientali. A tal fine, Planet On propone un dialogo tra registi, scienziati, industria e pubblico attraverso opere cinematografiche e un concorso di cortometraggi. Mira a fornire uno spazio necessario in cui le persone possano raccontare, dal loro punto di vista, le varie sfide ambientali che l'umanità deve affrontare.
Planet On cerca di trovare le migliori storie sul commercio illegale di fauna selvatica e sulla protezione della fauna in America Latina, nonché su qualsiasi altra questione ambientale che i partecipanti desiderano affrontare.
La IX edizione del Planet On International Environmental Film Festival sarà il luogo ideale in cui ci riuniremo per riflettere sull'impatto che questi problemi hanno sulla nostra vita e, ovviamente, per celebrare le migliori opere audiovisive.
Il Festival considera la creatività e la libera espressione degli artisti come elementi fondamentali per comprendere la realtà. Per questo motivo, Planet On richiederà che le opere partecipanti nelle diverse categorie soddisfino la pertinenza, la qualità e l'importanza ambientale e cinematografica.
Il bando è aperto a cortometraggi e lungometraggi nazionali e internazionali.

The Sacramento Film and Music Festival's mission is the celebrate and showcase the best in filmmaking from around the world and to be the leading sponsor and facilitator of the art of film in California's Capital region. In our 20th year we will be actively looking for material that has been produced in the Sacramento region.
The Sacramento Film and Music Festival is the longest running non-genre-specific festival in the Sacramento region and, as such, has played host to local, national and international filmmakers, from first-time writer/directors to working industry professionals to veteran Hollywood producers.
Each year we select movies in all genres, lengths and formats, from all around the world, and the Festival enjoys an extraordinary track record of picking those that go on to win major awards and/or achieve distribution beyond the festival circuit. Furthermore, we actively pursue those business and creative opportunities for our filmmakers with our industry partners and sponsors.
We pride ourselves as an established member of the California arts community and as a premiere showcase for the best of the best in worldwide film arts and were thrilled to be voted Best Film Festival in Sacramento by the readers of the Sacramento News & Review! We are also a repeat recipient of financial support from the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, as part of a competitive grant program, in recognition of our pro-active approach to arts promotion.
We also complement our many days of exclusive film screenings with a single evening of live music, interspersed with music videos that we commission each year as part of a much-heralded and pioneering program, Sac Music Seen, that matches local talents in music and film-making. Over the past ten seasons, we have produced over 200 music videos and we also accept and respect the music video format in our regular submission pool.
It is of vital importance that we recognize the new generation of filmmakers and our Student Days program regularly features works by students from such leading film schools as NYU, USC, UCLA, AFI, and Chapman - but we also look for high quality films from unaffiliated and high school students.
As a member of the Sacramento Alliance of Film Festivals, the Festival works with our genre festival partners (Sacramento's Jewish, French, Gay and Lesbian, and Black film festivals) and we will pass on especially noteworthy submissions if we are not able to screen them ourselves and if they seem well suited to one of our partners. We happily screen in all genres ourselves, however we simply cannot accommodate every movie we are sent, regardless of how exceptional they might be. The Alliance allows us to share our success and pass on the added value of referrals to our contributing filmmakers, when appropriate, and without additional submission costs. Additionally, we consider "off-season" films for our occasional Gold Circle screening series throughout the year.
The Festival also partners in collaborative projects with the Capital Film Arts Alliance (formerly the Sacramento Film Group), another noteworthy winner of local Arts Council funding, and the oldest uniquely dedicated networking group of filmmakers in the Capital region.
We have been fortunate over the years to receive great attention from the press and it is our pleasure to work to promote the work of our filmmakers in advance of each year's Festival. There are some advantages to being the senior all-genre festival in the area and we are extremely grateful to our partners and supporters.
Rolling Reels Short-Film Festival(RRFF) is a non-profit, student-run organization established in 2015. Presented by Festember, the biggest cultural festival of South-India, RRFF is a one-day cinematic spectacle for budding filmmakers.
The aim of this venture is to establish a platform for young filmmakers to interact and learn from the veterans in this field. The participants would be given a time period of about 3 months to send in their entries after which thee movies would be filtered first by a preliminary panel of judges. The shortlisted movies are then screened on the day of the Festival. These are judged by a lineup of A-list jury comprising of maestros of the film industry.
Aside from the event, RRFF also hosts an extravagant workshop and a panel discussion on a topic that concerns our industry.
La missione del festival è quello di far conoscere le opere e gli artisti europei in ambito delle arti visive, favorendo inoltre la cooperazione e la circolazione internazionale dei talenti, grazie anche al supporto del network europeo dei Creative Hubs per la ricerca di artisti e professionisti, e per la diffusione del progetto del Festival.
Obiettivi chiave del festival sono inoltre l'esplorazione di nuovi linguaggi visivi e favorire la contaminazione culturale tra i vari paesi.
VISION.
Il festival ha l’obiettivo di creare un network di artisti e creativi da tutta Europa, che condividano esperienze, conoscenza e opere d’arte nell’ambito della manifestazione. Parte integrante della Vision del festival è la rigenerazione urbana: la location del festival è il Bastione Sangallo, un importante monumento storico, recuperato dall’abbandono, per diventare un polo culturale e ricreativo della città di Fano.
One of the principal objectives of FICA - INTERNATIONAL ATHLETICS FILM FESTIVAL DONOSTIA-SAN SEBASTIAN 2019 is promoting the Athletic culture and its values by the audiovisual language and offering to the media, film directors, audiovisual industry agents and athletics professionals a meeting place in which they can exchange views and information.
Cultural Association “Visione Arte” (Art Vision) presents the 11th edition “Corti in Cortile” which has recently turned into International Short Film Festival.
The festival is held in Catania, Italy- Sicily,
from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September 2019.

FesticineKids 26 è un festival internazionale di film per bambini e giovani a Cartagena de Indias, è un concorso cinematografico che orienta i suoi sforzi verso il rafforzamento della produzione e della distribuzione del cinema colombiano, latinoamericano e mondiale per bambini e giovani.
Nel 2024, FesticineKids raggiunge la sua 26a edizione con lo stesso spirito di mettere in risalto e celebrare il cinema per ragazze, ragazzi e giovani. La frase è stata scelta come slogan: UNO SGUARDO AL WEST COLOMBIANO. Partendo da questo concetto si intende invitare bambini e giovani a essere consapevoli della responsabilità che hanno di essere agenti di cambiamento nei loro ambienti. I bambini e i giovani sono il futuro che dovrebbe incoraggiare la cura del nostro pianeta terra, degli esseri umani che li circondano, degli animali e delle piante, nonché dei luoghi che visitano. La tendenza ai film afro e a quelli orientati alle popolazioni indigene.
Nella costruzione del profilo del FesticineKids 26, lo schermo viene problematizzato come punto di confluenza di ragazze, ragazzi e adolescenti. Postulando il cinema come quello scenario in cui si esprimono sentimenti, emozioni e convinzioni, si intende che ragazze, ragazzi e adolescenti, comprendendo ciò che il cinema li evoca, cosa ne estraggono e i suoi significati, si interrogino sul posto che il cinema ha nella loro vita, nel loro ambiente, parallelamente al luogo che vogliono e sognano.
È anche un'opportunità per adulti, genitori, insegnanti, autorità culturali e cinematografiche, di riflettere sulla necessità di rafforzare le loro capacità di essere formatori in tensione e interazione con i media audiovisivi, in particolare il cinema.

Created in 2002, the Hacelo Corto Festival has founded a privileged space to enjoy the productions of children and young people in fiction, documentary and animation formats.
Through this Festival, the precious relationship between education and culture is underlined. The possibility of learning to film and film by learning, the opportunity to be both public and producers, to see their short films in the cinema and share these valuable educational experiences with society.

L'HARD:LINE International Film Festival mira a presentare i vari volti del cinema estremo.
La domanda su cosa si intenda con il termine «estremo» può essere compresa esaminando il contenuto della nostra vasta selezione di film fantastici. «Extreme» è spesso definito da un'estetica splatter esplicita, ma può anche essere rappresentato da metodi narrativi insoliti o da un linguaggio visivo esotico. Pertanto, stiamo selezionando meticolosamente gli esempi che potrebbero essere importanti per il futuro del genere. Non ci siamo posti limiti nella nostra ricerca e, che un film sia una perla della scena indipendente, divertente o scontato, H:LIFF ama i film speciali!
L'HARD:LINE International Film Festival non è un festival in cui la priorità è mostrare il maggior numero possibile di film, ma si concentra piuttosto sulla presentazione di alcuni esempi brillanti di tutto ciò che può essere il cinema estremo.
