Since its 1st edition in Barcelos in 2008, the ART&TUR Festival has effectively fulfilled its mission of making known to the world the best audiovisual productions in Portugal and in the world.
As a forum for sharing experiences, the ART&TUR Festival has achieved a high international recognition, thanks to the quality and quantity of films that it distinguishes annually, as well as its integration into a worldwide network of similar festivals: CIFFT (International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals) that annually elects the best tourism film worldwide, among all the films that travel the international circuit of 16 festivals.
From 2018, ART&TUR Film Festival rights were transferred from APTUR to Centro de Portugal Film Commission (CPFC). Associated to this change, and thanks to an agreement between the CPFC and the Regional Tourism Entity of Center of Portugal, the ART&TUR Festival will now be held in the Central Region, roaming through the various municipalities of the Center of Portugal.
There are 2 different competitions for you: TOURFILM & DOC

The Villammare Festival Film & Friends is organized by the Villammare Film Festival-Golfo di Policastro Association. The competition between short films was the beginning and is still the backbone of the Villammare Festival. The attention to the short genre wants to be an opportunity to give space to experimental cinema, to young talents, and to the evolution of cinematographic languages. The Villammare Festival Film & Friends wants to be an opportunity for international filmmakers and an occasion to contribute to the cultural liveliness and the promotion of the territory south of Salerno in a wider context.
It includes a competition between short films, one between feature films, meetings with personalities from the world of culture and cinema, attention to soundtracks and environmental themes, debates, in-depth analysis, shows and tasting moments after watching the film.
Out of Bounds is an independent event, in Puglia, southern Italy.
In 1945 the American army landed in southern Italy for the "liberation" campaign and suddenly passed through Molfetta, our base city. During their stay the allies reported some neighborhoods as "OUT OF LIMITS" due to the "social danger" of the people who lived there. In the first two editions, 2013 and 2014, our festival took place in two squares, Piazza San Michele and Piazza delle Erbe, near the areas still considered by many to be "out of bounds", in Molfetta.
The “Out Of Bounds” film event is run by filmmakers and focuses on empowering the best independent artists and encouraging all aspects of independent film production. We seek the unconventional, the unusual, the underground, the intuitive, the innovative and the true.
Subsequent editions took place in the cloister of the church of San Domenico, in the port area of the town and in the ancient arena of the castle of Barletta, an evocative and historic medieval place and at the Artists' Citadel of Molfetta.
The special section chosen for the latest editions is "Film School Short". The new section for both national and international works is “Short from the sea”.
This year the Festival will host the first stage of the fourth edition of the "Out of Bounds Film School", a film school supported by the Ministries of Culture and Education.

We are committed to bringing the best in independent filmmaking to an audience hungry for film, and showcasing films that especially capture some of the region's iconic values: landscape, authenticity, beauty, irreverence, the outdoors, vision, rebellion and independence, in whatever form that takes. We also highly encourage local and regional interest films and animation.
Typically we screen between 45-60 films including shorts, and have gladly welcomed the attendance of several filmmakers with close to 2000 Flixxfesters. Szczecin Film Festival is a film event, a forum for meetings and cooperation in the field of film, directly on the Polish-German borderland. The festival is organized by the Polish OFFicyna Association, located at 3-4 Lenartowicza Street in Szczecin (71-445), Poland. The festival program is carried out in partnership with a Polish-German network of organizers, and presented in Szczecin/Poland.
The main goal of the European Competition for documentary films at Szczecin Film Festival '21 is to seek out films that broaden the concept of documentary cinema and break its stereotypical image. Each year, the competition presents several dozen carefully selected titles. The chosen documentary films are a cross-section of works that stand out against the background of tired formulae and seemingly played-out topics. Creators known by few and film veterans alike will have a chance to confront their productions with the opinions of the jury and the festival audience. Thanks to the availability of technology and the ease with which people can communicate globally, we can enjoy an innovative and exciting cinema that abolishes our prior perception of a documentary film and broadens our horizons.
The films presented at the festival are selected by a Polish-German Selection Team. Its members search for productions that cross the formal boundaries and exhibit an unconventional approach to reality – productions that are documentary trailblazers. Premieres are considered especially significant. Awards are given by an international jury, which is assembled by the organizers. Apart from film screenings, a relevant and characteristic part of the European Competition are discussions with the presented films' creators.
The animation film festival for youth of Bourg en Bresse (France) does exist since 1982 and program animation film of different countries. Feature and short films. Some shorts films are in a competition section.
