New NAMES, new GENRES, new CINEMA LANGUAGES on a big screen in the middle of Siberia!
International Kansk Video Festival (Russia/Siberia) is not a conventional film festival. It is an experiment in time and space. The small Siberian city of Kansk, was found on the Internet by chance and selected as its name correlates with the Cannes Film Festival, Kansk in the Russian language is pronounced the same as Cannes.
*************
Since 2002 the festival has taken place annually in the depths of Siberia. Far away from the Côte d`Azur in the severe Taiga climate, 7000 km from London, 4500 km from Moscow and 300 km from Krasnoyarsk by the Trans-Siberian Railway formerly used to transport shackled contvicts. In this area, full of wonderful and brave Siberian people, pelmeni and cedar nuts, even buses seem reminiscent of the old school buses from a long lost Soviet place full of magic.
The Kansk Video festival has grown immeasurably from it’s 2002 beginnings. Each year it hosts an international jury from the industry and artistic communities, running international film and video-art competitions with a special screenings program and a bank of ideas big enough for the next 150 years. The festival promotes new names, new genres and new cinema trends of the independent and uncompromising video and filmmaking industry.
In 2007 Joaquín Ortega (Director, actor, stuntman and stunt coordinator) created under his trademark NOIDENTITY his international stuntmen team. In 2010 he founded the independent production company NOIDENTITY Films and has already produced two films privately and a program TV. In 2013 he continues to advance its intention to generate film industry and makes the first action film festival in Spain.
So this way born NIAFFS (NOIDENTITY - International Action Film Festival - Spain), with the intention of generating film industry and promote international action films.

The Festival de Cine Comprometido de Guadalajara (FESCIGU) celebrates its 23rd edition this year at its (exile) headquarters in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara, Spain). All genres are welcome, as long as they do not condone violence. FESCIGU is a pre-selection festival for the Goya Awards. This year, the central theme is PEACE, so short films that address this topic will be especially welcome.
IMAGINARIA is the first and only international animated film festival of Apulia region.
In its history Imaginaria has grown enormously, earning an important artistic and social position in the international festival sector.

Imaginaria, which is characterized by the importance of “numbers” and the excellent quality of thousands of works of international standing, is a project to promote, disseminate, film training, which aims to promote the independent authors of animated films. Imaginaria intends to trigger, in a long-term perspective, all possible synergies in the community helping to create socio-economic opportunities in the area and at the same time promote the culture of animation. The festival, therefore, is a project which aims to spread the use and knowledge of animated films not only during the event, held every year in Conversano, but also in places and times of the year using different networks, made up of other festivals and exhibitions (national and international) to which Imaginaria participates or which it is the promoter.

“99.media is a carefully curated selection of documentaries from around the world swooping down into extraordinary lives.” — Rob Alderson, WePresent
99.media is a new kind of documentary film festival: both online and in real life.
It is a free and not-for-profit video platform streaming documentaries in 6 languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Italian) + a series of live screenings in different cities where our languages are spoken.
Our objective is to democratize documentaries thanks to multilingualism and to help filmmakers get wider audiences and more impact.

"99.media has embarked on a beautiful campaign to share films with the world. Subtitling my film from Arabic and English into a half-dozen languages opens the door for cross-cultural impact in ways I’ve always dreamed about. Their initiative to share powerful works of art with the world is a noble calling, and I’ve watched as my film has reached new people. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have my film play on their platform."
— Matthew K. Firpo, filmmaker
"99.media translated my documentary into 5 additional languages, ultimately helping the film reach a much wider audience, and become globally relevant. Films are made to be seen, and reaching an international audience like this is invaluable”.
— Lukas Schrank, filmmaker
“My short documentary was translated into 5 languages by 99.media, which helped it gain a lot more exposure and massively increased its global reach. I have a lot of respect for, and trust in the team, who has always dealt with me in a professional and honest fashion and who I believe has a real passion for short film and a lot of respect for filmmakers.”
— Andy Oxley, filmmaker
