BEAST International Film Festival is now opening the call for entries for its second edition. This in an opportunity to bring your film to a different audience, connect with other directors, actors, editors and much more. Submit your film and give it the chance to be seen on the big screens of Porto’s cinemas, between 26th and 30th of September 2018.
One of BEAST’s aim is to provide a platform for young Eastern European artists, or Portuguese artists living in Eastern Europe - for our Portuguese Abroad section, to present their work in a western country, Portugal. Last year, BEAST IFF screened films that represented over 22 countries from Eastern Europe, in 5 venues located in the heart of Porto, Portugal. The festival has 3 competition sections: East Wave, East Doc, and ExperimentalEast, but you can also submit films for our special sections: BEAST Kids and Portuguese Abroad. Submissions are free between 15th of December 2017 - 1st of January 2018. The call for entries is open until the 1st of July 2018.
BEAST International Film Festival is set to bring Eastern European cinema and its audiovisual culture to Porto, a thriving cultural center in Europe’s westernmost country - a bridge connecting the two sides of the Old Continent. bEAST IFF aims to present a unique film scene with fresh and intriguing storylines, depicting a specific and contemporary society . This will be the first Film Festival totally dedicated to Eastern European cinema taking place in Portugal, promoting the film industry, culture and identity.

I film che non presentano qualità tecniche sufficienti per una buona proiezione pubblica possono essere rifiutati dopo il controllo delle stampe da parte dell'Unità di controllo della stampa dell'Ufficio del Festival del Cinema. The Festival de Cine Comprometido de Guadalajara (FESCIGU) celebrates its 23rd edition this year at its (exile) headquarters in Azuqueca de Henares (Guadalajara, Spain). Over the years, we have strived to bring our audiences the best in the world of short films, with social, activist, or simply humanistic content. All genres are welcome, as long as they do not condone violence. FESCIGU is a pre-selection festival for the Goya Awards. This year, the central theme is PEACE, so short films that address this topic will be especially welcome.

Fantàstik Granollers è il festival del cinema fantastico e horror di Granollers, che si svolge dal 2012. È diventato un evento unico in città, in cui viene offerta una proposta culturale legata esclusivamente ai film fantastici e horror e a tutto ciò che vi è legato, scommettendo molto fortemente sui cortometraggi.
È un'eccellente opportunità per gli amanti del cinema di vedere film innovativi e di entrare in contatto con altre persone interessate a questo argomento.
Oltre al festival, durante l'anno vengono svolte altre attività legate alla diffusione di film fantasy e horror.

Il Puerto Madryn MAFICI International Film Festival si svolge da 13 anni ed è uno dei festival più importanti dell'America Latina, che si svolge nella Patagonia argentina.

Il Valdivia International Film Festival presenta il cinema cileno e internazionale in cinque categorie competitive: Concorso lungometraggi, Concorso lungometraggi per giovani, Concorso cortometraggi latinoamericani e caraibici, Concorso cortometraggi per bambini dell'America Latina e Caraibi e Concorso cileno di cortometraggi per studenti di cinema. Il suo programma non competitivo include retrospettive storiche, retrospettive di registi contemporanei, cinema politico, cinema d'avanguardia, genere e uno slot cinematografico per bambini e famiglie.

Il festival mira a offrire ai registi cileni e stranieri un posto dove proiettare e competere, promuovendo così opere cinematografiche nazionali e internazionali di qualità artistica.
