Short films, either animation or live action, in the science fiction, fantasy or horror categories are desired. Films are typically from 5 to 15 minutes (as long as 20 minutes)in length.
Currently we plan on a live event from May 23-26, 2025 in downtown Baltimore, much like the events we have had for the past 50+ years.
Duemila30 is the biggest international gathering on social impact storytelling for emerging international filmmakers. Each year, over 100 young talents from all over the world meet for four days of screenings, workshops and meet-ups in Milan (Italy).

Esto Es Para Esto is a cinema collective group dedicated to independent cinema screening, spreading and film discussion, based in Monterrey City, México.
We seek for different forms of cinema, transcending media’s conventions and traditions that challenge the established. Cinematographic mirages, audiovisual delirium, dreams in motion, video-mutations, images and sound that travel through blood and brain cells to the screen, without format, duration or genre prejudices at all. The SUNFEST exists to celebrate the art of cinema and to create a shared experience around film. We are a non-profit international independent film festival programming shorts & Documentary and strive to bring the best films the industry has to offer to our community from home and abroad. Our programmers aim to faster new talent and help filmmakers connect with the global industry. We are also dedicated to educating and developing audiences for international and independent cinema screening the kind of innovative, visionary work that may not normally achieve distribution in this area.
The Juries will award our filmmakers in over all individual categories. Our selection committee is also made up of a group of industry professionals from various fields, such as directors, actors, producers, professors, writers, animators, casting directors, and more.
If there is something we all have in common, it is movement. As Akram Khan put it: “Movement is the essential ingredient of how the world continues, or survives.”
When our body’s movement fuses with the cinematographical movement, one of the most original film genres is born: dance film. While words can mislead, the body language does not lie.

Cartoon Club – International Festival of Animation Cinema, Comics and Games, now at its 40th edition, is one of the best known festivals on the Italian scene.
It is a remarkable window for animation works, short films in particular – fiction, educational, experimental, computer graphic – and with a whole section solely dedicated to comics: Riminicomix.
The Festival features SHORT ANIMATED FILMS in various sections:
CARTOON CLUB AWARD, open to short animated films made by professional filmmakers and production companies.
SIGNOR ROSSI AWARD, open to animated films made by secondary school and university students, and by the students of animation film schools.
CARTOON KIDS AWARD, among the titles submitted to either Cartoon Club Award or to Signor Rossi Award, the Festival direction will select, at their own discretion, some short animated films aimed at a children’s audience. An all-children’s jury will select the winner among these films.
INTERNATIONAL PANORAMA, a non-competitive section open to European and non-European animated short films.
CARTOON JUNIOR AWARD, open to short animated films realized within workshops for children, in Italy or abroad.

The festival takes place in Rimini in various locations, from downtown to the beach, in the month of July.
The International Gay, Lesbian Trans Film Festival of Lima - the OutfestPerú - opens its call for the XXI edition and films of all nationalities whose theme is LGBTIQ, and which are eligible for the various sections of the festival can participate in it: Feature films ( Official Section and International Panorama), Short Films Section either Documentary or Fiction and Video Art (Official and Panorama). The works must not have been exhibited in commercial theaters, broadcast on TV or be available to the public on the Internet or other windows in Peruvian territory prior to the celebration of the festival and must have copyright after 2023. Feature films and short films must preferably be unpublished in Peru, although this is not exclusive but will be valued very positively. OutfestPerú reserves the right to include films that do not meet these conditions in the programming, but out of competition.

Mecal Pro, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival, will celebrate its 27th edition. The long history of MECAL PRO has consolidated it as one of the most important short film festivals in Europe and the world, thus receiving the support of local, national and international institutions. 1) Fantasy Short Films
The film seeks to bring, from the union of different narratives, enclosed in five short films, a possibility of using fear and mystery as a way of expressing feelings. The horror, suspense and science fiction genres travel on the psychological, questioning human fears and rules, related through the contemporary and the anxieties that arise with modern life.
2) Water Short Films
Water as a metaphor, capable of narrating people's deepest feelings. The water does not hesitate. It follows a descending path, looking for the depth, always attached to the earth, and meets up with more water because its course flows into the depths. Know the cracks in the rocks and the interior of each of our cells. But water also knows the highest mountains, those that it covers with snow and then with ice.

NYTVFF is an IMDb Award Listing Qualifier and a New York-based film festival that shares the dedication and passion for bringing independent short and full feature films to the big screen. The New York True Venture Film Festival screening will be held from June 19th to June 21st, where the festival will screen award-winning films.
