The International Summer Film Festival 2024 is underway and promises to be an unparalleled cinematic experience. Organized with passion and dedication by Uruguay Campus Film, the festival was born in 2022 with the aim of strengthening exhibition spaces for short films and promoting exchanges among national filmmakers.
This summer 2024, we are excited to offer an even more thrilling edition. After two successful previous editions, where we have already established ourselves as an international festival, we continue our commitment to bring the best of cinema to Montevideo and beyond.
We recognize that Uruguay's audiovisual scene continues to capture the attention of both locals and visitors, creating a constant demand for venues where filmmakers can share their creations with new audiences, and where these audiences can immerse themselves in the richness of national cinema in all its forms.
In this third edition of the Summer Film Festival, we have gone a step further. We have expanded our horizons by introducing a category dedicated to international short films. This will allow us to explore an even broader and more diverse cinematography, providing our audience with a rich and enriching cinematic experience.
Furthermore, we will continue to offer workshops and talks, where filmmakers will share their knowledge and experiences. Our mission is to create a relaxed learning space where conversations flow freely between filmmakers and audiences, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the magical world of cinema.
The "Cinema in the Neighborhood" section will remain a highlight of the festival, connecting cinematic art with the local community through outdoor screenings in unusual and exciting locations.
The Summer Film Festival is a celebration of cinematic culture and a platform for local and international talent. The First year of the Midnight Soul Film Festival is an event that strives to show the imagination and beauty of Northern Scandinavia. Refreshingly intimate for a festival of its size and scope, the event traditionally combines a range of marquee premieres, international competitions, compelling documentaries, new digital media work, live music performances, and a star-studded red carpet event.

We aim to forge a film festival and screenwriting competition that will ultimately launch the careers of writers and filmmakers.
We are a Sweden based independent film festival company and our event is pending quarantine restrictions.
This year we are adding a Screenplay Competition for the first time!
Our Screenplay Competition includes feature-length screenplays up to 120 pages, short film scripts up to 30 pages, and dramatic television pilots up to 75 pages. All screenplays must be unproduced and written in the English language.
We accept Screenplays written in English, Swedish, Portuguese or Spanish. We also accept screenplays with multiple languages, i.e., English with Spanish dialogues. This is because we have experienced judges from various countries around the world.
We also accept all genres and subgenres. E.g. Drama; Period Dramas; Romance; Comedy; Action/Adventure; Horror; Cosmic Horror; Folk; Slasher; Gothic; Monsters, Zombies and Vampires; Paranormal; Gore; Crime; Science Fiction; Thriller; Fantasy; Coming-of-Age; Spiritual Cinema; Road movies; Western; Musicals and Historical.
Submissions are scored on character development, story, dialogue, structure and originality.
By submitting your screenplay, you are automatically considered for our screenplay competition. For a higher fee, you receive a consultation with script notes from film producers and industry professionals who are currently making films, as well as other writers. Therefore, you will get notes from both worlds, production, and screenwriting.
Please note that we do not have celebrity judges. Many festivals and screenwriting competitions advertise that they do have celebrity judges but upon closer inspection, their “industry pros” are only reading the top five scripts or viewing the top five screenplays. Our judges are artists, writers, filmmakers, and film lovers. We have excellent taste, and we introduce our winners to top industry professionals.

Our judging panel includes judges from all walks of life, why? As with any subjective judging, it is important to have a broad spectrum of perspectives. Many film festivals house only filmmakers as judges, which can lead to niche judging which we feel is unfair to filmmakers, especially if you do not fall inside their niche. Your film receives the fair and honest treatment it deserves. By including other perspectives from different walks of life it creates a balanced judging platform, which we believe is why we have been touted as having one of the best film line ups in the World. We believe that your project receives a more overall perspective grading as to whether it entertains or informs a wider viewing audience rather than that of only an entire panel of film makers. Not to worry, we do have several film professional on board as judges!

5) EXCITING COMPETITION SYSTEM - ACTUAL CHANCE
A sports-like competition system. We want an exciting event for our audience and your fans. The Jury gives a new rating to films after every round.
Phase 1 - 100 films are selected every MONTH for the Film Olympiad Grand Prix. All of them are eligible for nominations and medals. We have 11 monthly Film Olympiad Grand Prix every year and an annual Film Olympiad.
Phase 2 - The films are divided into 20 groups of 5. The best films from each group qualify for the knockouts. The audience can watch live the results of the rating in each group, through online live streams with online screenings of some films.
Phase 3 - 32 films get paired in knockouts. This means that if you win 5 matches (Rounds of 32, 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Final), you win the Best Short Gold Medal and the monthly cash prize.
Phase 4 - At least the best 8 films from each month are publicly screened in monthly screenings with a live audience and qualify for the annual Film Olympiad.

Blackboard International Film Festival focus to celebrate Film Makers and Creators around the world, who take risk and do experiments in Film Making. How we do?
Choose one or more categories and submit your short film.
Usually, our submissions start on 1th-4th of the month and end on the same day next month.
EACH submitted film will receive a short review from our judge team (on request)
PLEASE NOTE: We don't screen the films online! The members of the jury watch the films online and they choose the Official Selections.
In 5-7 days after the deadline day for submissions we publish the Official Selections list and we notify the filmmakers via e-mail.
During the next 5 days our members of the jury decide the winners for each category.
After that we publish the Winners list and we notify filmmakers by e-mail. The lists are published on social media and on our dedicated website: shortshotfest.com
In the last week of the month we screen the awarded films in art - center "Efir" in the heart of Moscow.
From August, 2021 we are OPEN for new season 2021/2022.
The Grand Finale 2021/2022 will be held in August, 2022 in Moscow.

Produced by the Culture and Communication Area of the Municipality of Colonia Santa Teresa and the narrative journalism platform Angular; declared of Legislative Interest and declared of Cultural Interest by the government of the Province of La Pampa, the III International Documentary Film Festival "PampaDocFest" will take place in person in the town, from March 7th to 9th , 2024.
This festival aims to stimulate and facilitate the encounter between members of national and international cinematography and present non-fiction films, in addition to promoting meetings between filmmakers, technicians and those interested in this genre; and promote a training space to contribute to the development of the culture and dissemination of documentary filmmaking.

CARTON is an international animated film festival whose main objective is to bring together animators, directors, producers, cartoonists, cartoonists, and the entire community to see, enjoy and promote the world of animation as a means of communication and expression of ideas. artistic, technical and political.
The Festival consists of a competitive section of animated shorts. After a pre-selection carried out by the organizing committee, the material is evaluated by a prestigious jury that changes from year to year. Since its inception in 2011, Juan Pablo Zaramella, Tomas Welss, María Verónica Ramirez, Raúl Manrupe, Irene Blei, Salvador Sanz, and Ayar Blasco, among others, have passed through the Carton jury.
The competitive section is divided into the following categories: Fiction/Narrative, Experimental/Non-narrative, Video Clip, Series, Micro-shorts and Training Workshops.
In addition to the competition, the Carton Festival is completed with talks, videoconferences, workshops, feature film screenings and a comic book fair.
At the end of May 2025, the Florida neighbourhood will host the 7th edition of the FILMSERÈ – International Short Film Festival of La Florida.
This project is conceived by students from the Cinema course at the Eduard Fontserè Institute in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, with guidance from teachers and professionals linked to the film industry, alongside collaboration from local residents, social entities, and associations, among others.
This is an event organised by local people for local people, with everyone from L'Hospitalet, Barcelona, and beyond invited to attend! It is an international festival featuring short films submitted from around the world, supported by the Les Planes-Blocs Florida Integrated Plan from the L'Hospitalet City Council.
Short films of all kinds are selected, with a single criterion: they must be of the highest quality and highly entertaining. Fiction shorts, documentaries, animations, music videos, etc., are all welcome.
Various awards are presented, some of which are monetary.
In addition to a student jury made up of 4th secondary school year (Y11) students organising the festival, we also have an official jury comprising individuals connected to film and the arts, local residents, young people, seniors, and social associations from the neighbourhood.
The festival features outdoor screenings as well as events in indoor spaces across the La Florida area. Attendance in 2021 was 400 spectators over 5 sessions, 2022 saw over 500 attendees across 5 sessions, and in 2023 nearly 1,000 spectators attended across 5 sessions, with more than 1,000 expected in 2024!
