LA Shorts International Film Festival ranks among the most prestigious and largest international short film festivals in the world.
The festival is accredited by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences OSCAR®, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts BAFTA and the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (ACCT) presenters of the Canadian Screen Awards and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain (Goya Awards).

Now in its 28th year, LA Shorts is the longest-running short film festival in Los Angeles. The festival screens over 350 films and attracts over 10,000 attendees each year including Hollywood industry professionals and emerging independent filmmakers.
LA Shorts is an official qualifying event for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts BAFTA short film awards. Award-winners at the festival are eligible to win BAFTA Awards.
LA Shorts is recognized by The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television (ACCT) presenters of the Canadian Screen Awards.
Those who have been honored at the festival include directors, Jon Favreau, Paul Haggis, Bryan Singer, Jan de Bont, Shane Black, and actors Gary Oldman, James Woods, Martin Landau and Richard Dreyfuss. The film programming screens all genres from a wide spectrum of categories with high to low-budget films 40 minutes or under. BUT is an annual international festival with about 50 features, 50 shorts plus performances, music and art.
During 5 days in Breda (Holland) filmmakers, distributors and the audience meet each other.
We specialize in genre cinema, low-budget and independent - the weird and the wicked.
The focus is on underground moviemaking (not horror per se) and B-movies.
Each year there is a main guest, Waters, Buttgereit, Castellari, BrudeLaBruce have been there.
The opening film, closing film, 5 nominations plus retrospectives. 90% of the films is new, rest is retrospective.
BUT is a non-profit festival, run by a foundation (IDFX) and volunteers.
Since the 2020 edition, we incorporated free online viewing into our program.
We do not charge entry fees.
Black Oaks Pictures and Materiali Sonori Cinema present the third edition of Sentiero Film Factory, a Festival based in Florence - Tuscany for short films and short screenplays.
Sentiero Film Factory is open to Italian and foreign directors, filmmakers, producers, authors, writers and film school students.
The Festival also offers a market and networking events designed for professionals of the film industry, such as panels, workshops and forums.

We are bringing the memory of the revolution and let it live forever in the heart of film makers; that's why we make this film festival, you can submit your film in the festival as long as it fit with the criteria of the film genres and it has a revolutionary idea.
What make 25 January not just a festival, It's more than that:
- The strength and the weight of our jury. The festival has a very experienced jury that would definitely give credit to the official selection submitted films.
- The submitted films will have a chance to be screened in different halls and theatres in Leiden city in the Netherlands for three days the duration of the festival. We will announce the locations soon.
- The submitted films will have a chance to be broadcasted on at least 2 TV channels, a Dutch and an Arabic TV channel. We will also announce the names soon.
- The Submitted films will have the chance to be broadcasted on our website and additional to that there will an evaluation video made by a professional filmmaker to analyse the film.
* The broadcasting or screaming films will only occur after a permission issued by the filmmaker.

We organize this festival in order to create a new reason to produce and introduce films and any other work of art that concentrate on the world’s problems and riches, and to pioneer the creation of a free platform and reward these works. Out! Mostra de Cinema LGTBIQ+ of Balearic Islands accepts short films of all nationalities with LGBTIQ themes, which may be selected for the various sections of the festival: Short Films, and Short Films Documentaries. The works must not have previously premiered on the Internet or any other media in Spanish territory prior to the festival, and must have been copyrighted no earlier than 1st of January of 2022. All films must be yet unreleased in the Balearic Islands; in the case of the shorts films, this will not be considered a prerequisite, but will be considered positively. The organization reserves the right to include films that do not meet these conditions in the program, although not a part of the Festival’s official contest. The organization has right to include selected short film in future events of year 2025/2026 within territory of Balearic Islands.
The Malaga Festival, in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Area of the Malaga City Council, pursues the objective of supporting the presence of women in film production, creating spaces that make visible the work of women in the audiovisual field, professional field where they are underrepresented, both in the direction, in the production or in the writing of scripts; favoring the film industry with the diverse views of women.
In order to fulfill this objective, the Equal Opportunities Area will hold its “XXII FILM SHOW WOMEN ON STAGE”, between the months of October and November 2024.
THE WOMEN ON STAGE FILM EXHIBITION was created in 2002 with the aim of debating, through the holding of cineforums, the existing gender inequalities in our society as well as in other nearby ones, reflecting on their causes and possible social strategies to eradicate them.
Since 2010, this objective of raising awareness and visibility has been added to supporting the presence of women in film production, an area in which there is a large gender gap, taking advantage of the fact that every day there are more women interested in developing their professional careers. In this field, therefore, one of the purposes of the OFFICIAL WOMEN ON STAGE SECTION is the visibility of audiovisual productions made by women, and it is achieved by dedicating the evening sessions to the exclusive projection of works directed, produced or scripted by women .
The Roman road VIA XIV has crossed the Monterrey Valley for 2,000 years. Today the roads and railways, some of them built on the old Roman roads, and others that run parallel and a short distance away, give us an idea of its importance and validity.
During all this time they have been a path of new ideas, progress and culture. The Verin short film festival wants to continue this path of culture, bringing the gaze of creators from all over the world around carnival, emigration and the border.

The Sax International Film Festival, in the province of Alicante, qualifier for the Goya Awards, arises through the initiative of the filmmaker and writer Miguel Herrero Herrero. The Puerto Madryn MAFICI International Film Festival has been held for 13 years and is one of the most important Festivals in Latin America, which takes place in the Argentine Patagonia.
The objective of the Festival is to provide the possibility of screening national and foreign films both feature films and short films and thus generate a meeting space and diffusion of the cinema, from a corner of the Argentine Patagonia.

Nordic Young Film Festival - NUFF is an annual short film festival for young filmmakers up to 26 years old from the Nordic countries & the world with short films (max 20 min) made in the last 2 years.
NUFF has been an important international platform for youth film and a meeting place for many young filmmakers since 2003.
Based at the youth culture house Tvibit in Tromsø, Northern Norway, NUFF has already a long success-story. Started by the wish to support young local filmmakers and to get an idea how our neighbours are making films and telling stories, NUFF discovered the world of Youth Cinema and all of the exciting potential that came with it.
The quality of submitted films has steadily been increasing and so too has the incredible atmosphere of the workshops and the growing network of filmmakers, partners and projects. All of this is making NUFF a unique summer event above the polar circle and under the overwhelming midnight sun.

THE FILM COMPETITIONS
NUFF has two film competitions for short films made in the last two years (with a max length of 20 minutes) by filmmakers under the age limit of 26 years old. All genres are accepted!
For the Nordic film competition the films have to be produced in a Nordic country or the filmmaker comes from or lives in a Nordic Country. Nordic Countries are defined as Greenland, Iceland, Faroe Island, Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Finland.
For the International film competition the films have to be produced outside the Nordic countries or the filmmaker comes from or lives outside the Nordic countries.
The submission deadline for both competitions is June 1st!
Every August, filmmakers from around the world meet up for The Indie Gathering International Film Festival. The Indie Gathering is more than just a film festival - it's a place where filmmakers can gather together with the audience for one great weekend!
We are the Alternative for Independent, Underground and Experimental Film and Video. The "Indie" Gathering Film Festival exists to showcase the independent filmmaker.

SUNCINE, formerly known as FICMA, was first held in 1993 and is positioned as the oldest Environmental Film Festival in the world; it is a reference in its genre.
SUNCINE is a multi-screen festival (in-person, online and televised). Its primary objective is to promote, disseminate and publicize environmental audiovisual works to raise awareness about the state of the environment, biodiversity and the planet’s sustainability.

At B-Retina Festival we want to become a platform for B-Movies of all kinds, from guerrilla trash cinema to unclassifiable cult masterpieces; therefore, emergent talents, consecrated artists and difficult to classify characters will show us how they understand and see the world around us using their inventiveness and boldness.
