The InFest Film Festival is a 2-day freak short film Festival which is held in Rubí, a city of asphalt, industry and smoke located in the Valles Occidental, a region located near Barcelona (Spain).

The InFest festival emerges as a firm and clear proposal: that Rubí be known as the Rubiwood of the Vallés district. During the last 9 years, InFest has organized the best possible short film experience: outdoors screenings, concerts, bar service and all kinds of activities related to cinema. What else can we ask for?

The InFest is devoted to showcase new short films (produced after year 2020) showing Sci-Fi, Fantastic, Freak and Horror elements. Short films cannot exceed 15 minutes length (credits excluded). Foreign films MUST be dubbed or subtitled in Spanish or Catalan, or the film will not be accepted.

In 2025, InFest will celebrate its 10th annual edition. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the InFest was moved to the amphitheater of The castle of Rubí ("El Castell"), a defensive construction from the 13th century, which can host public events with more than 2000 people. The amphitheater features seats, stage and bar! Jury Prize and Audience Award will receive 1000 and 250 euros, respectively.

Prishtina International Film Festival (PriFest) happens in the capital of newest country in Europe, Kosovo, in Balkans every year in July.

Before you read more see for yourself video of highlights of last year's edition by copying the YouTube link below in your browser:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb9bbxOfqOA

PriFest is the biggest and most important film industry event in Kosovo. It emerged as a need to bring back and build the cinema culture which was lost during many years of repression and war. PriFest is an opportunity to young filmmakers from Kosovo, who because of the visa regime have big limitation to travel freely in Europe and elsewhere, to meet filmmakers and experts from the region and Europe that visit the festival and increase their chances to network and coproduce their films.

PriFest film program offer the audience every year newest films from Europe, Balkan and the world, with addition special programs that promote human rights, tolerance and acceptance for marginalized groups of society. It is the only festival in the Balkan that has a special program of films with the LGBTQ theme which is done in partnership with Outfest in Los Angeles and Queer and Migration Film Festival in Amsterdam. Besides films, the festival has a very good regional film industry development platform (PriFORUM) that offers training, lectures, inspirational masterclasses from distinguished guests and other opportunities for filmmakers from Kosovo and the neighbouring countries to benefit from. It is a great networking event for filmmakers from Kosovo, the region and Europe.

Prishtina Rendezvous brings distributors and sales companies that meet and explore film projects from the Balkan region, while Prishtina Kino Kabaret is dedicated to filmmakers from all over the world to come and spontaneously make short films in Prishtina during the festival.

Producers, directors, film industry experts, casting directors and agents, filmmakers and actors have an opportunity to meet in a totally unconventional, friendly environment and network during the festival and forum days.
Relaxed atmosphere and easy access to guests makes it a unique place to be for people that want to expand their network and show their films to some important key players in the film industry from Europe and region.

To date PriFest was visited by Mr. Paul Haggis (Canadian screenwriter and director), Ms. Vanessa Redgrave (British Actress) who is also the President of our Honorary Board, Stephen Frears (British Director), Joshua Marston (American Director), Franco Nero (Italian Actor), Eva Orner (Australian producer), Gideon Burkhard (German actor), Samuel Maoz (Izraeli director), Danis Tanovic (Bosnian director), Velibor Topic (Bosnian actor), Jasmila Zbanic (Bosnian director), Mirjana Karanovic (Serbian actress) and other important guests.

We like to think that PriFest is a true cultural diplomacy tool for a new country like Kosovo to present itself to the world in the best possible light.

Last but not least, we have very cool parties of electronic music with international and local DJs, great music, great bars to hang out, and most importantly great food and lots of booze with very affordable prices. Kosovo and Prishtina is fun to visit because 65% of our population is under 25 years old!

We can guarantee that hot summer nights should be spent here, and seaside (Albania) is just 3 hours drive from here :)

The slogan of the festival is Friendship. Forever.

In the first edition of the festival we worked around the theme Always Visible Never Invisible, in the second edition it was Visible in Community. And for this third version, it will be Devenir Lesbica, which seeks to portray the different ways of being a lesbian in small and intermediate cities, where there are not many aesthetic or love references or construction of life projects outside the closet, and where people resort to different strategies to survive in the margins of sexuality. We are used to know the words butch and dyke as an insult, then we called ourselves gay and finally we recognized ourselves as lesbians.

The organizing team of the 3rd Festival Cine o Yuka, invites lesbians, butch and dyke womxn to send their audiovisual creations, whether or not they are professional or expert filmmakers. We will receive material created in different formats and genres, abstract productions, short films, cell phone videos, web series, performances and other audiovisual creation experiments, which do not exceed 60 minutes and that deal with the theme of this edition: Devenir Lesbica.

Short Outline:
nineteen successful years of the ‘International Low and No Budget Short film-sharing Festival’ has inspired us to continue despite the disheartening of the cultural institutions.

Budgets for culture and the arts are being cut or axed. However, humour is when, in the face of adversity, you can still laugh! This year, we will defy commercialism and
capitalism and raise up our ‘Low and No Budget Film Festival’ with the opening in Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Schwäbisch Gmünd and Mainz.
Moreover, we will continue to
offer the ever increasingly popular internet forums, which publishes the un-filtered short films, as an antidote [AA antithesis, counter platform]. We will be showing the s
ubmitted films on the big screen to the interested public who can discuss and talk together before, during and after the films. We will be showing the Film Festival Programme at selected cinemas. The festival is a non-profit endeavour and a large part of the entrance tickets will remain with the cinema operators to cover their costs.

We will show all short films under 15 minutes and we look forward to receiving new productions as much as older short films or even youthful follies or transgressions!
The audience itself decides at the open screenings in April and May which films will be included and shown in the July Festival Programme.

 Internet: www.film-sharing.net

 History:
The annual Film Festival was established in Vienna in 2003. Since then it turned into an annual event and has expanded mostly in Germany.

The main venues are now Stuttgart, Heilbronn and Mainz and now Schwäbisch Gmünd and Sigmaringen. All films are collected and complied and then shown at these locations. Film makers, who fall loosely under the ‘independent film makers’ category, from throughout the world, submit their short films.
Annually, we receive about 1,000 films which we then sort and compile into thematic genres.

Point of Special Attention:
The Film Festival does not award any material or monetary prizes, rather it proudly offers the broad public and large audience. A prominent feature is the so-called
‘open screenings’ that present the full and rich character of the films including those that that receive less public attention. Over 200 people come together in both
cultural centres and restaurants to rate the submitted films from over 50 countries.

We will show all short films under 15 minutes and we look forward to receiving new productions as much as older short films or even youthful follies or transgressions!
The audience itself decides at the open screenings in April and May which films will be included and shown in the July Festival Programme.

All film makers, whose film is shown, will receive the Film Festival programme brochures.
