The Houston Comedy Film Festival is a unique forum for international independent filmmakers to showcase their Comedy Feature Length and Short Films in Houston, Texas. The 10th Houston Comedy Film Festival will take place April 13th, 2019 featuring films from multiple countries around the world.

Il festival è rivolto ai Registi e ai Filmakers italiani e stranieri, agli Istituti scolastici, Associazioni e Società che hanno prodotto cortometraggi.
Nell'intento di valorizzare, promuovere e divulgare il cortometraggio come forma espressiva particolarmente valida ed attuale a livello sociale e culturale; per sviluppare le potenzialità dei linguaggi artistici dei nuovi media; per rispondere alle esigenze di crescita culturale dei giovani registi emergenti, il festival segue la logica di dare la maggiore visibilità possibile ai cortometraggi che arriveranno.
Una giuria tecnica li selezionerà per vari eventi e proiezioni. Mostre fotografiche, incontri con personaggi del mondo del cinema ed eventi vari faranno da cornice all'evento.

As is our objective since the first edition of the festival in 2009, we continue supporting social and political films and at the same time giving visibility the works created only by women.
Promote this vision and this cinema is our main goal that allow us to create a place where to debate and analysis the present, remembering the past and looking to the future.
Ransäter Filmfestival is short film festival that will be held for the 4th time 4-6 april 2019. Our main purpose is to bring quality short to the small village of Ransäter. We think that it´s important that everyone has the possibility to enjoy and experience film close to where you live so you don't need to go all the way to Stockholm-, Gothenburg- or Uppsala Filmfestivals.
The first day will be a workshop held by Kaisa El Ramly (won best short 2018) the workshop will be dedicated to aspiring young actors. The second day we will screen the selected shorts that are in competition. The third day we will have a retrospective with a director who made the difficult transition from short and feature. The price ceremony will also be held on the third day and we end the festival with a live music act
A jury of three will decide one winner and the audience will decide one winner. If you win you need to be present to receive the price money. At least two of the filmmakers that are selected will be invited to this years festival.

Il 15° River Film Festival è un festival internazionale di cortometraggi che si terrà a Padova dal 1 al 30 giugno 2021. Il Festival è organizzato dall'Associazione Culturale Research Movies ed è patrocinato dal Comune di Padova Assessorato alla Cultura e dall'Università di Padova. Il festival è totalmente gratuito.
I film saranno nuovamente proiettati sullo schermo sulla zattera ormeggiata a metà del XVI secolo porto fluviale utilizzato per il commercio tra Padova e Venezia alla porta di Porta Portello. L’etimo del termine “queer” investe un piano semantico che condensa dentro di sé sia il concetto di trasversalità che di diversità. Al suo interno, pertanto, confluiscono non solo le tematiche GLBT (gay, lesbiche, bisex e transgender) in senso stretto, che vengono scardinate dalle banalizzazioni classificatorie di comodo, ma tutto ciò che può essere considerato out, differente, divergente. Oggi più che mai si sente la necessità, sostenuta tra l’altro anche dalle Raccomandazioni europee del 2006, di divulgare una cultura sempre più rivolta all’inclusione, alla socializzazione, e alla condivisione di spazi, idee e stili di vita.
A partire da queste considerazioni nasce il SICILIA QUEER, l’unico festival cinematografico internazionale a tematica queer in Sicilia (nonché in una ancora più ampia area centromediterranea), che si propone attraverso il mezzo audiovisivo di promuovere il contrasto alla discriminazione sociale, di diffondere la cultura della diversità (di orientamento sessuale, di pensiero, di modi di vivere, ecc.), e una maggiore presa di coscienza dell’apporto positivo legato alle differenze.

The festival is being annually held in the city of Moscow since the year 2011 and contains 4 events:

The Awards ceremony takes place in a big concert venue (changing every year) and consists of the show program and the ceremony of granting awards which is divided into the following jury voting categories:
- awards granted to local film distribution companies for the blockbusters screened in cinema theatres of Russia in the reported year;
- awards granted to young directors and producers as competition program. The category is called “Hope for Survival”;

The festival program is a week non-stop screening of new movies in several Moscow cinema theatres. The films-participants of the competition program are being selected by the festival’s jury. Submissions are being analysed and accepted by the festival's organization committee during the whole year.
The festival's schedule usually also contains a pre-party and an after-party arranged for the honored guests and winners.
The TV version of the festival is televised by Tricolor TV platform.
The festival specializes in all sub-genres of horror and action film industry, i.e.: cartoon horror, comedy horror, psychological thriller, trash horror, zombie horror, giallo, slasher, suspense, detective, action, fantasy, sci-fi etc. Starting from the year 2013 the festival also specializes in survival horror video games sphere.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented.
