The Various Artists independent Film Festival (VAiFF) is pleased to announce the 3rd year of our 21st century festival on the heels of our yearly festival, awards ceremony, workshops and wrap party!
This unique festival was created to provide artists with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and engage in healthy competition with their talented peers. And with the removal of the 2 year project completion stipulation on submissions - we strongly believe that a filmmaker’s passion should not be limited by an expiration date - VAiFF is perfect for filmmakers looking for that ‘big break’ and looking to take ‘one more shot’.
Highlights:
VAiFF screens all content submissions in their entirety. Once the semi-finalists (per submission quarter) have been selected, ONLY YOUR PROJECT'S TRAILER or SIZZLE REEL or (:15)s of your music video will be online for viewers to vote on. There is a 30 day voting period where members of your social media community, friends, and family will view and vote for your project.
The projects in each category with the most/positive amounts of votes will move on to the FINALE competition.
After the FALL quarter, the process continues with the WINTER, SPRING and SUMMER quarters. The nominees from these quarters will compete in the FINALE COMPETITION.
In October of 2020, all the semi-finalists’ films will be screened at the Various Artists independent Film Festival Competition and Awards Ceremony, which will again be held in Chicago, IL.
Filmmakers, industry leaders, and film lovers will enjoy a weekend full of films, networking, Q&A sessions, seminars and a fun-filled wrap party to make this an event people will not want to miss.
Producers securing quarterly nominations will receive prizes, and at the LIVE event, the top 9 winning films will be presented with a VAiFF PERSONALIZED CRYSTAL AWARD along with other perks.
Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
1. Festival du film Brain
Le Brain Film Fest (BFF) est un festival international de films dédié à la mise en valeur et à la promotion de la création et de la diffusion de longs métrages et de courts métrages sur tous les aspects du cerveau, de ses capacités et conditions étonnantes à ses pathologies. Le BFF est organisé conjointement par la Fondation Pasqual Maragall et Minimal Films. En plus d'être une compétition cinématographique, le BFF organisera également tout au long du festival d'autres événements sociaux, culturels et/ou scientifiques en personne et en ligne axés sur le cerveau.
La 8e édition du Brain Film Fest se tiendra du 12 au 16 mars 2025.
The Globe International Silent Film Festival
"Where Pictures create an international language."
Our goal is to focus on the picture as the basic structure of cinema as an art.
We believe the silent era of cinema (1895-1930) has made the picture and mise en scène richer and more powerful. Although by introducing of sound in cinema we've been passed that era a long time ago but still silent cinema is carrying a great part of avant-garde and artistic films. GISFF aimed to gather, screen and respect these creative films.
L’idée des projections vient du fait qu’il n’existe pas de plateforme pour les courts métrages indépendants.
Dès qu’un film sort des normes cinématographiques, il est écarté des festivals et autres manifestations audiovisuelles. Trash n’est pas pris que dans le sens provocant, choquant mais également alternatif, politique, cheap, décalé…
Le but du ciné-club est d’offrir aux réalisateurs une projection de qualité dans une salle prévue à cet effet. Pour le spectateur, l’objectif est de lui faire découvrir des films différents sous des formats différents.
Toutes catégories de films sont projetées : expérimental, animation, clip, docu, tous les genres sont explorés. Un film ne doit pas être forcément trash pour être diffusé, il doit être en marge du courant conventionnel et offrir de l’intérêt à la personne qui le regarde.
Toutefois, pour éviter tout malentendu, les séances sont interdites aux mineurs.
À Bruxelles, la première projection s’est déroulée au centre culturel des Riches Claires le 1er avril 2005. Les réalisateurs présents (belges pour la majorité) ont été invités à présenter leurs films avant la projection.
Depuis une asbl a été créée sous le nom de Born2BeCheap avec le soutien de l’Echevinat de la culture de la ville de Bruxelles, la SABAM, La Région Bruxelloise, la COCOF, La Loterie Nationale.
Une centaine de films sont projetés lors du festival. En 2020, 45 réalisateurs étaient présents et 3000 billets ont été distribué.
Le Festival Fims Infest aime les films indépendants et, pour cette raison, nous acceptons les films enregistrés dans tous les formats et avec n'importe quel budget, mais assurez-vous que votre film s'inscrit dans notre festival.

The Boston Science Fiction Film Festival is an 11-day cinematic event held at the historic Somerville Theatre from February 9th to the 19th. The 2018 edition marks our 43rd anniversary as the oldest science fiction film festival.
The first nine days is a traditional film festival. Films submitted and curated from around the world are screened, whether they be features, shorts, or webisodes. Plus we have workshops, parties or anything else that seems appropriate. Here at BostonSciFi we emphasize emerging directors with distinct visions.
The Festival concludes with The Marathon, a.k.a., “The ‘Thon”, a 24-hour orgiastic motion picture endurance test featuring classic, new and schlock films. Think of it as binge viewing with 750 close friends. It starts at noon on the 18th and ends at noon on President’s Day.
Boston SciFi is the oldest genre fest in the country and one of the oldest in the world. Being in Boston has many advantages, it is a world class city. Boston is one of the world’s best college towns (hello Harvard, MIT, BU, BC, Tufts and more). As such, BostonSciFi endeavors to reflect all of that in the festival. Then toss in, we are housed in the classic 1914 Somerville Theatre in the almost too hip Davis Square, and you can see why FilmFreeway touted us as one of the Top 100 Film Festivals.

Digital Griffix film awards changed a bit over the years and is now an IMDB listed international online awards competition taking place each three months.
Each three months our jury determines the best films in each category. Note that we do NOT screen films online or onsite. The films are screened privately by the jury. Our goal is to help filmmakers take the next step in their career. Our jury is composed of award winning filmmakers who perfectly understand the hard work put in independent filmmaking !

L'Asociación Cultural sad Hill organise, dans le cadre du Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes (Burgos), le concours de courts métrages SECTION WESTERN (VII édition- 2024).
La SECCIÓN WESTERN continue d'être une section parallèle du Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes, bien que les projections des courts métrages sélectionnés et le gala de remise des prix aient lieu en dehors des dates officielles du Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes.
Cette décision a été prise dans le but de pouvoir consacrer le temps qui, en raison des caractéristiques du genre auquel elle s'adresse, nous semble nécessaire à l'exposition des projets participants.
L'idée de cette section est de rendre hommage au western en général et de présenter un genre qui continue de vivre aujourd'hui.

Spello est un magnifique vieux village médiéval avec une histoire, un art, une tradition, une nature, une gastronomie et un vin incroyables, dans la belle région italienne de l'Ombrie.
Spello est situé au centre de la région italienne entre Florence, Pérouse et Rome.
... un film se termine et tout le monde se lève pour quitter la salle de projection, mais le générique du film est toujours diffusé, et ce faisant, l'immense travail de ces professionnels, qui ont contribué à la réalisation du film avec passion et professionnalisme, est négligé. Combien de travail et de sacrifices ont été nécessaires ? Qui sont ces personnes dans les coulisses ?

Le Festival se caractérise par le fait qu'il récompense les meilleurs professionnels qui travaillent dans les coulisses pour réaliser un film. Le jury désignera les gagnants en évaluant globalement les différents processus et professions ayant participé, en particulier le scénario, la cinématographie, les costumes, la scénographie, le maquillage, le son et la musique.

Our Shorts The Shorts Screening Session est un mini-festival de courts métrages opérant comme pop-up, en collaboration avec des partenaires de projection du monde entier. Chaque année Our Shorts Leurs programmes 12 séance de projection de courts métrages qui sont projetés dans des salles de l'auditorium universitaire aux salles de cinéma.
Our Shorts Leurs Shorts est le plus grand réseau émergent de courts-métrages en Asie du Sud. Travaillant à travers l'exposition, la distribution et les événements expérientiels, Our Shorts Leurs Shorts est directement impliqué dans le public engagé pour le développement, l'expérimentation et pour répondre à la demande d'une autre façon de vivre le film.
Porto Femme - International Film Festival est un lieu d'exposition et de diffusion de visions artistiques multiples et diverses. Une action concrète dans la lutte pour l'égalité de représentation, axée sur les nouvelles représentations identitaires qui cherchent à déconstruire les stéréotypes et à effacer les invisibilités. Le festival vise à créer un espace de visibilité pour les femmes et/ou les identités non binaires dans le monde cinématographique, en les unissant au niveau international.

From February 21-24, 2019, the international documentary industry will once again gather in Eindhoven for the 6th edition of DOCfeed. With a program of the finest selection of films, and a friendly audience, with workshops for and by documentary professionals.
DOCfeed is one of the newest celebration of the documentary genre in the world. We hope to see you all here! We offer the option to submit and review your documentary online.
One of the things that makes our festival unique is that we do the screenings in pop-up cinema’s, mainly in old Philipps buildings (as Eindhoven is the hometown of Philipps) and museums. The entry for documentaries will be open from July. We accept only Documentaries. We hope to sustain and promote filmmakers, especially independent filmmakers around the world, to continue their creativity and produce their artworks; to inspire all filmmakers to never stop chasing their dreams in creating excellent movies, and to participate in the film industry.
Newcomers are welcomed. The films will be pre-selected before presented to a judge panel.

Film For All festival is an international & independent film competition.
