Con motivo de la temporada de exposiciones de la CTAO 2023-2024, CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium presenta «Art of Freedom: 2nd Edition», un ciclo de exposiciones de arte colectivo que se celebrará en la sala de exposiciones de la CTAO en Lavagna (Italia).
TEMA LIBRE: a diferencia de todas nuestras exposiciones colectivas, el ciclo «El arte de la libertad» se caracteriza por la ausencia de un tema principal, lo que deja total libertad a los artistas, que son elegidos en función de su personalidad y contenido, para que puedan proponer libremente su visión más personal, sin miedo a los prejuicios ni a la censura. Esto no les impide inspirarse libremente en la libertad y expresarse en ese sentido. Después de todo, el arte ES libertad, y la libertad es un valor que siempre está amenazado y que necesita una atención constante para no perderlo.

Who should submit?
KAFFNY invites filmmakers and artists of all backgrounds, from any country. Given our history, Korean, Korean-American and Korean – diaspora filmmakers are especially encouraged to share their works, but that is by no means required. Films from years 2017 and 2018 preferred.
What themes/topics/films are appropriate?
Any films, shorts, or documentaries which reflect the commonalities of humanity across cultural divides, highlight multi-cultural interaction, challenge existing narratives, or provide mirrors for people to reflect on their own culture through the experience of another.
2018 Theme: Conversations to Form The Future
Films which address topical themes of 2018 will be given additional consideration, including:

-#Metoo and themes of “Future is Female”
-Sustainability

Why do we host this festival?
The past eleven years of experience in telling Korean American stories helped KAFFNY to identify and find commonality with other stories at the intersection of all cultures. We are ready to evolve, with a new mission to identify unifying commonalities and bust cultural stereotypes by connecting voices through our shared experiences.
2017 KAFFNY Festival
2017’s festival, held on October 14th at the Wythe Hotel Cinema featured five distinct blocks of programming that approached the topic of Infinite Culture through specific lenses: INFINITE FOOD CONNECTION, INFINITE FASHION CONNECTION, WORLDWIDE KOREAN CONNECTION, INFINITE MIGRATION CONNECTION, and CRAZY, RICH ASIAN AMERICANS. Alongside the screening of 25 short films and two feature-length films, the audience engaged in meaningful discussions with the filmmakers during the moderated panel discussions.

Originally founded in 2006 as the Korean American Film Festival New York, our festival venues include: Wythe Hotel Cinema, Village East Cinemas, TheTimesCenter, SVA Theatre, Chelsea Clearview Cinemas, Skirball Center at NYU, Anthology Film Archives, as well as gallery and outdoor public spaces throughout New York City. FICFUSA 2026 - 13º Festival Internacional de Cine de Fusagasugá
FICFUSA es un festival de cine y proceso cultural comunitario con trece (13) años de trayectoria que, desde su enfoque Mujer y Territorio, entiende el cine como un espacio de encuentro, creación, reflexión y transformación.
Desde Fusagasugá, en el territorio del Sumapaz (Colombia), FICFUSA trabaja por la descentralización cultural, el acceso al cine como un derecho y el fortalecimiento del tejido social.
Para su edición 2026, FICFUSA invita a realizadoras y realizadores audiovisuales a postular sus obras en las siguientes categorías:
1. Hechos de Mujeres – Largometrajes nacionales e internacionales
2. Hecho por Colombianas – Cortometrajes dirigidos por mujeres (Colombia)
3. Un Hecho Corto – Cortometrajes de Cundinamarca (Colombia)

El MIBFF proyecta películas y realiza actividades en los dos idiomas oficiales de Canadá: inglés y francés. Sus documentos, materiales promocionales e interpretativos también son bilingües. Sin embargo, en algunos casos, algunas películas se presentan únicamente en inglés o francés.
El Festival Internacional Luz del Desierto es un Festival audiovisual que propone fomentar el cine dentro del país y en el exterior. El festival se realizará en el mes de octubre con competencia de largometrajes y cortometrajes tanto de ficción, animación y documental. También habrá charlas y talleres.
A celebration of erotic art
The Reel Erotic Art Film Festival, an IMDb event, aims to celebrate the erotic arts by showcasing short and feature films that are sexual in nature stemming from around the world.
We are looking to showcase films that contain graphic descriptions of sexual activity and nudity but also has a set genre, a meaningful storyline and artistic value.
We are also accepting submissions for our erotic screenplay competition.
Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
The Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, celebrating its 26th Anniversary October 6th-October 15th is the oldest non-fiction festival in North America. El LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) es el primer escaparate de experimentación en medios basados en cine, video y audio de Los Ángeles. Se centra en el cine vanguardista, art-house, independiente y de bajo presupuesto, con la quinta edición que tendrá lugar en julio de 2020, en Los Ángeles.
Nuestro programa ofrece un lugar para que los cineastas reinventen y exploren nuevos enfoques, fomenten nuevas formas de arte mediático y construyan una audiencia para este tipo de trabajo. Nuestro objetivo es presentar una amplia gama de trabajos explorando las múltiples definiciones e interpretaciones del concepto de «underground».
Buscamos películas hechas con pasión, obsesión y motivación; películas que vayan más allá de las expectativas y el género; películas, proyectos de vídeo y audio que se esfuercen por superar los límites de la forma y el contenido aceptados. Un fuerte sentido de autoría es una necesidad.
LAUFF acepta todas las formas y géneros: desde drama, documental, experimental, culto, art-house, lengua extranjera, comedia, terror, ciencia ficción, fantasía, animación, LGBT, indígena, erótica hasta cine lento y videoarte...
Nuestra segunda edición del Festival de Cine Artculvid se llevara a cabo en San Francisco de Sales en Cundinamarca - Colombia, allí se exhibirá y estudiara el cortometraje colombiano e Internacional, entendiendo este también como película, como obra cinematográfica. Nuestro festival se llevara a cabo los días 1 y 2 de Diciembre de 2018.

El Festival Audiovisual Bariloche 2019, organizado por el Gobierno de Río Negro, convoca a toda la comunidad del quehacer audiovisual a participar de este encuentro en donde se exhibirán y competirán trabajos/obras

The G Awards are a non-profit festival, promoted by the Department for Culture and Tourism of the City of Naples, for short movies, music videos, documentaries and cartoons organised by a very young passionate about cinema and video-maker. The purpose of the festival is to spread the cinematographic culture to people of all the ages and to make known works both by professional and young people, since it is also open to underage video-makers.
Short movies/cartoons: authors aged 14 and over can participate; short movies/cartoons must be between 1’ and 35’ long; we accept Italian works and foreign language works subtitled in Italian.
The Mediterranean Film Festival (MedFF) is an online festival that rewards every month the best for each category. Its objective is to promote independent films and emerging artists by making them competing with more established ones.
The MedFF born to George Beach (Fontane Bianche) in the beautiful and charming town of Syracuse (Italy). MedFF means freedom, typical of maritime cities, every participant can submit his work whatever it is.

Discovery Film Festival: Festival Internacional de Cine de Escocia para públicos jóvenes

El Discovery Film Festival se encuentra en su decimonoveno año. Con sede en Dundee Contemporary Arts, y de gira a lugares asociados en Escocia, Reino Unido e Irlanda, el festival proyecta películas de todo el mundo que han sido programadas especialmente para públicos jóvenes.
El festival incluye tres fines de semana emocionantes de películas, actividades creativas y eventos de gala, así como dos semanas de proyecciones y eventos para escuelas.
Discovery tiene como objetivo desarrollar nuevas audiencias para lo mejor del cine internacional, mejorar la alfabetización mediática y ofrecer al público joven una visión de la vida de los niños y jóvenes de otras culturas. El festival se celebra desde 2004, cuando se inició como una asociación con el Departamento de Desarrollo Educativo de Dundee, Scottish Screen y DCA.
Discovery Film Festival es un proyecto de DCA y está organizado por Mike Tait, productor de festivales y responsable de desarrollo juvenil de cine. Un equipo de Jóvenes Embajadores (de 15 a 19 años) trabaja con Mike para programar películas y asesorar sobre el diseño general del festival. Un equipo de profesores y consultores educativos asesoran sobre el programa educativo y crean recursos relevantes para el Curriculum for Excellence para las clases que visitan el festival.

Desde 2015, año de su fundación, el festival ha destacado por la calidad y el valor social de las obras seleccionadas.
En diez ediciones, hemos seleccionado y proyectado 221 obras de 70 países, ¡y hemos otorgado 250 premios!
Al promocionar el cine independiente de todo el mundo, hemos recibido obras protagonizadas por actores de fama mundial como Salvatore Esposito (Gomorra, Fargo) o Denis Lavant (Holy Motors, Tokio).
En la edición de 2021 tuvimos el honor de premiar al actor Giuseppe Fiorello en su última película «L'afide e la formica», ganadora del premio al mejor largometraje.
A lo largo de los años, presumimos de haber promocionado con éxito decenas de documentales independientes, que han sido una auténtica ventana al mundo para nosotros.
Intentamos superarnos cada año, dándoos a los directores la oportunidad de recibir importantes reconocimientos por vuestro trabajo y las historias que queréis contar.
SunChild International Environmental Festival, established by Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Asset (FPWC ), is the 1st and so far the only environmental festival holding on in the South Caucasus region. More than 300 films from 150 countries around the world were screened over the last 9 years of existence. Film fest includes wide range of activities such as carnival marches, dozens of workshops, conferences and exhibitions. All events are eye catching due to their colorful and unique approaches. The festival takes place every autumn, however the events ‘‘travel’’ in the regions of Armenia throughout the whole year, involving a large number of children and youth, facilitating identification and creative solutions of community environmental issues by organizing thematic film screenings, discussions and other initiatives, encouraging and supporting to take action locally.
The aim of the festival is to bring nature, wildlife and environment into the focus of public attention and increase the knowledge about issues among citizens and especially among children and youth.
