Filme, die nicht auf Spanisch gesprochen werden, müssen mit spanischen Untertiteln präsentiert werden.

The Erie International Film Festival Call For Entries is now open to the US and International filmmakers, and we shall accept all genres of film including Narrative Features, Narrative Shorts, Animation Features and Shorts, Experimental Features and Shorts, and all forms of Horror, Suspense and Thriller films of Short and Feature length, all lengths of Comedies and Documentaries, along with Feature and Short lengths of GLBT and Religious/Spirituals films, along with Music Videos for the 2018 festival.
Our festival is seeking the best films that the world has to offer while working to give new and veteran Independent Filmmakers the attention they deserve.
As a 501c(3) non-profit, the Erie International Film Festival will accept submissions of films regardless if those films are of world premiere status at the time of submission, or if the film has been screened publicly or otherwise distributed anywhere at the time of submission.
Film enlightens the world, opens our eyes, and shows us things we do not see every day, and makes us feel things we do not always feel. Across countries, languages and classes, a film has the ability to provide us with a release, an escape, forgetting the real world and the cares of everyday life while expanding the imagination and opening the door to new possibilities.

The Erie International Film Festival celebrates new trends in digital media and recognizes Transmedia Filmmakers who employ an innovative, interactive, web-based or multi-platform approach to story creation. Much like with the digital technology that has swept independent film festivals throughout the world since the early 2000s, for many reasons the virtual theater is quickly becoming the first, best choice for festivals, and the new home of Independent film screening worldwide.
The virtual theater is the future of film festivals, as more and more festivals are now screening films online, and even the big festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival are moving to online screenings.

PROBLEM DER ENTFREMDUNG
Wir leben in einer Welt der Einkaufszentren und Kinomultiplexe. Wir sehen, dass Indie-Kino und Kunst, die nichts mit Waren zu tun hat, an die Peripherie der öffentlichen Aufmerksamkeit geraten. Primitive Attraktionen ersetzen die Kinematographie. Das Fluchtpublikum ist hinter der großen Leinwand entfremdet. Das moderne Mainstream-Kino ist also Teil eines Manipulationsinstruments, das zu einer Gesellschaft der Entfremdung führt. Es besteht also die Tendenz, dass das Indie-Kino für ein breites Publikum immer unlesbarer wird. Wir sollten den Kontext des Filmemachers verstehen, um das unabhängige Kino zu verstehen. Aus diesem Grund impliziert das Konzept von NEFILTRAVANAE KINO die physische Präsenz von Filmemachern.
PROBLEM BEI DER FILMAUSWAHL
Filmemacher drehen Millionen von Filmen. Und Tausende von Kurzfilmfestivals organisieren jedes Jahr Vorführungen auf der ganzen Welt. Im Durchschnitt werden mehrere tausend Filme für ein Filmfestival eingereicht. So können verschiedene gute Filme aus irgendeinem Grund vernachlässigt werden. Oft ist die Auswahl der Wahrscheinlichkeit wie ein Lottogewinn. Infolgedessen erhalten Filmemacher kein Feedback. Es ist paradox, dass dich im Zeitalter des Internets niemand hören kann! Die Mainstream-Kultur bevorzugt Attraktionen und ungezwungenes Beobachten.
Diese Idee basiert auch auf dem Problem der Filmauswahl. Vielleicht ist es keine Überraschung, dass eine Person, also bestenfalls der Programmdirektor, oder sogar Studenten von Filmhochschulen eine vorläufige Entscheidung treffen, einen Film auszuwählen. Die Übereinstimmung von Richtern oder Vorschauern ist eher selten als ein Unterschied in Herkunft und Geschmack. Die Auswahl oder Beurteilung kann also einseitig oder oberflächlich sein. Das ist nicht schlecht, da der Programmdirektor natürlich einen guten Geschmack und ein ästhetisches Feingefühl hat. Aber wir haben ein anderes Konzept von „ungefiltertem Kino“ entdeckt. Wir haben es mit den „Besten der Besten“ verglichen. Dieser Weg hilft, die filmische Sprache ohne das Diktat der Kunstkuratoren wahrzunehmen.
FEIER DES INDIE-KINOS
Das NoFilter Kino versucht also, den Weg des „Besten vom Besten“ zu vermeiden, ignoriert ihn aber nicht völlig, klar. Das Festival wählt die Bereiche Fiktion, Animation, Dokumentation, Experiment und virtuelle Realität aus. Eine Jury prämiert den besten Film in jeder Sektion. Das Festival veranstaltet Vorführungen in Kinos, im Nationalen Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst und in Kunsträumen.
Unser Ziel ist es, Menschen in der Kunst zusammenzubringen, einen Dialog zu führen, um mit intelligenter Kommunikation glücklich zu sein.
Kino ist Kunst, aber kein Sport. Der Kernpunkt unseres Projekts ist die Kommunikation zwischen dem Filmemacher und dem Publikum.

a) The filmmakers must be:
- Regular students of careers linked to the audiovisual area of Chilean universities.

It is designed to be the bridge between independent filmmakers and international sales agents. Winning films will get a chance to be represented at global film markets.
With substantial revenue (sometimes well above 50 percent) coming from exploitation outside of a film’s home country, it is vital that producers should target and then structure deals with foreign sales agents.
What is an international sales agent?
An international sales agent is the conduit to your film’s distribution outside of its country of origin. The sales agent will acquire a set of rights from you, pitch and sell these distribution rights to potential distributors around the world, draft distribution agreements, deliver the physical and electronic materials of your film to these distributors and, finally, collect and pay the revenue due to you. An international agent will be your partner for years, helping craft the commercial life of your film on the world stage.
What is an independent cinema?
“independent cinema” as film outside the established system of filmmaking. Probably even more widely, beyond the established system of values: the experimental, low-budget, underground, various new wave, and so on.

If your film is a fan-favorite, or you have a unique story about your film - or youself - we usually do a feature story on THAT, too. No other film festival (unless you win the Academy Awards or maybe Sundance) can give you THAT kind of GLOBAL EXPOSURE.
The festival is held 20 minutes south-east of downtown Austin & 15 minutes from Bergstrom Airport, where we will come to pick you up if you are an official selection and decide to come in person, as well as take care of your room & board if you are staying the night.
