Das Sicilymovie — Agrigento Film Festival ist ein Festival für Spielfilme, Kurzfilme, Dokumentarfilme, Videoclips, Spot- und Animationskurzfilme, das von der Southmovie Association ins Leben gerufen wurde. Es wurde mit dem Ziel gegründet, Freiluftkino für alle ins Herz Siziliens zu bringen: das eindrucksvolle Tal der Tempel von Agrigento, einer Stadt, die 2025 zur italienischen Kulturhauptstadt ernannt wurde. Die Themen, die in den Werken von Regisseuren aus aller Welt behandelt werden, sind vielfältig und lehrreich.
Die neunte Ausgabe von Sicilymovie richtet sich an die besten Produktionen und den Vertrieb von Kurz- und Dokumentarfilmen der Welt, die um die Goldene Demetra konkurrieren werden, die repräsentative Statuette des Festivals, die an das antike Griechenland erinnert, das kulturelle Symbol des antiken Akragas, die Stadt Agrigento.
Das Projekt wird vom Archäologischen und Landschaftspark Valle dei Templi von Agrigento, der Gemeinde Agrigento, der Sicily Film Commission und der Tourismusabteilung der Region Sizilien unterstützt und gesponsert. Der Archäologie- und Landschaftspark Valle dei Templi ist etwa 1300 Hektar groß und hier befinden sich die Überreste der antiken Stadt Akragas und der Umgebung bis zum Meer. Das Tal der Tempel wurde 1997 von der Unesco zum „Weltkulturerbe“ erklärt. Heute hat das Tal der Tempel mehr als eine Million Besucher pro Jahr.

The International Student Short-Film Festival is co-organized by: the Nabeul University Cultural Center and the University Center for Dramatic Arts and Cultural Activities of Tunis, under the supervision of the Office of University Works for the North, under The High Patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and with the assistance of public and private organizations.
The International Student Short-Film Festival is open to fiction, documentary and animation films. It consists of several sections:
- A competitive section for short films: fiction, documentary and animation, made by students before June 2017.
- Out of competition films.
- Practical workshops for students participating in the festival.
- A competition for the best short film made during the festival.
The films presented will be chosen according to the criteria established by the jury and under the responsibility of the organizing committee of The International Student Short-Film Festival.
The jury, composed of experts and academics, awards the festival prize, and possibly other prizes entrusted by its exceptional or regular partners.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
Das Internationale Festival für Fantastik- und Horrorfilme in Tàrrega - Galacticat, das seit 2014 jedes Jahr stattfindet, ist das erste und einzige Fantasy- und Horrorfilmfestival in den Ländern von Lleida, das sich an alle Kinogänger im Allgemeinen und an Liebhaber von Science Fiction und Terror im Besonderen richtet und eine klare divulgative Berufung verfolgt. Das Galacticat wurde als Initiative ins Leben gerufen, um die universellen Science-Fiction-Klassiker für die breite Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen und in diese Kultur einzutauchen, die das Universum des Kinos seit seinen Anfängen geprägt hat. Im Laufe der Jahre ist das Galacticat gewachsen und hat immer mehr Bürger in dieses Filmfestival einbezogen. Die programmierten Aktivitäten, Partys, Konzerte, Vorführungen, die Besucherzahlen, die Branchenaktivitäten und die Reaktion der Filmindustrie wurden schrittweise erhöht.
Das Festival hat einen internationalen Charakter und alle Autoren mit Filmen in Übereinstimmung mit anderen Sätzen können teilnehmen. Die für den Wettbewerb ausgewählten Filme werden in zwei Kategorien beurteilt:
1. FILM REZEPT - eine Art Dokumentarfilm, die vollständige Bild- und/oder Textanweisungen für die Zubereitung von kulinarischen Kreationen (Mahlzeiten, Getränke oder Wüsten) anzeigen sollte, einschließlich Informationen über die erforderlichen Zutaten und Arbeitsablauf. Basierend auf diesen sollte man nach dem Filmschauen in der Lage sein, das Rezept vorzubereiten.
2. OPEN KATEGORIE - ein Film, der Inhalte im Zusammenhang mit Lebensmitteln und/oder Getränken thematisieren oder darstellen soll.
Die Dauer der eingereichten Filme ist auf 15 Minuten begrenzt.
