BEAST International Film Festival is now opening the call for entries for its second edition. This in an opportunity to bring your film to a different audience, connect with other directors, actors, editors and much more. Submit your film and give it the chance to be seen on the big screens of Porto’s cinemas, between 26th and 30th of September 2018.
One of BEAST’s aim is to provide a platform for young Eastern European artists, or Portuguese artists living in Eastern Europe - for our Portuguese Abroad section, to present their work in a western country, Portugal. Last year, BEAST IFF screened films that represented over 22 countries from Eastern Europe, in 5 venues located in the heart of Porto, Portugal. The festival has 3 competition sections: East Wave, East Doc, and ExperimentalEast, but you can also submit films for our special sections: BEAST Kids and Portuguese Abroad. Submissions are free between 15th of December 2017 - 1st of January 2018. The call for entries is open until the 1st of July 2018.

This theme seeks to generate debate and thought about the processes of resistance that are taking place in Colombia regarding the care and dignification of the territories. We start from the relationship of body and territory, and we claim that in that exercise of counting our territories (those we inhabit and those that forced us to leave) and the struggles that are in them, we are revealing resistances.

Das Grand Rapids Feminist Film Festival (GRFFF) widmet sich der Aufhebung von Stimmen und der Präsentation von Talenten aus historisch unterrepräsentierten Gruppen in den Mainstream-Medien. In seinem sechsten Jahr war der GRFFF ursprünglich die Idee des unabhängigen Verlags The Bandit Zine als Filmversion ihres Magazins. Was als kleine Abendvitrine begann, hat sich mittlerweile zu einem ganztägigen Festival entwickelt, das interaktive Workshops und Panels, Performances lokaler Künstler und Filme aus aller Welt umfasst. Dieses Jahr findet das Festival im Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids statt. Wir werden Referenten, eine Drag Show und mehr als 30 Kurzfilme beherbergen. Wir freuen uns, dass das Fest in diesem Jahr noch mehr wächst und freuen uns, Teil der sich ständig weiterentwickelnden feministischen Grand Rapids Community zu sein. INTERNATIONALES FESTIVAL FÜR DOKUMENTAR- UND KURZFILM VON BILBAO
Es wurde im Jahr 1.959 ins Leben gerufen und von der Kulturabteilung des Rathauses von Bilbao organisiert. Das ZINEBI wird vom 8. bis 15. November 2024 seine 66. Ausgabe feiern.
Es ist das einzige internationale Klasse-A-Festival in Spanien in der Kategorie Dokumentar- und Kurzfilm, das seit 1974 von der FIAPF anerkannt wurde. Es wurde von der Hollywood Academy als Qualifikant für die Oscars unter den Kurzfilmen der offiziellen Preisverleihung und als Qualifikant von der Spanish Academy für die BAFTA Awards und die GOYA Awards anerkannt.
ZINEBI ist ein Festival, das die aktuellsten Formen und Formate anbietet, innovativ und suggestiv, und das immer wieder auf aufstrebende Autoren setzt. Das Programm des internationalen Programms (Dokumentarfilm, Animation und Fiktion) und die Sektion ZIFF-ZINEBI FIRST FILM, die Erstlingswerken gewidmet ist, sind ihr eigentliches Unterscheidungsmerkmal. Bemerkenswert sind auch Honour Mikeldis, die die prestigeträchtige Karriere herausragender internationaler Regisseure und die strenge Auswahl der Sektionen BEAUTIFUL DOCS, die den wichtigsten zeitgenössischen Filmen gewidmet sind, und BERTOKO BEGIRADAK, einer Sektion, die baskischen Dokumentarfilmen aus einer aktuellen Produktion gewidmet ist, würdigen. Das Internationale Kurzfilmfestival von Cali soll mit der Eröffnung seiner Ausschreibung ein Ort für die Ausstellung von professionellen und universitären Kurzfilmen aus der Stadt Cali und der Welt sein, um als Treffpunkt zwischen den neuen Filmemachern und den Fachleuten des Kurzfilms zu dienen.
Das XVII. Internationale Kurzfilmfestival von Cali findet vom 23. bis 27. September 2025 in der kolumbianischen Stadt Santiago de Cali statt.
Die Ausschreibung für die Wettbewerbskategorien des Festivals läuft ab dem 20. März 2025 und wir schließen die Anmeldefrist am 31. Mai 2025 um Mitternacht kolumbianischer Ortszeit (UTC-5).

Cinema Workshop Project, Magic Eye Audiovisual Production Company und Wild Wood Corporation laden Künstler, bildende Künstler, Filmemacher, Profis, Studenten und Amateure ein, ihre Arbeiten in Intermediations, einer Ausstellung für Videokunst und experimentelles Video, zu präsentieren.
Der Showcase findet in der Stadt Medellin, Kolumbien, statt. Es handelt sich um eine nicht wettbewerbsorientierte Veranstaltung, die darauf abzielt, verschiedene Praktiken im Zusammenhang mit audiovisuellen Werken, insbesondere künstlerischem und experimentellem Video, zu fördern und bekannt zu machen.

As an international film festival, World Lens focuses on foreign Indie filmmakers that are producing films that are pieces of their culture and set in economic, social, environmental, and political spheres. It is the commitment of the Long Island Film Festival to bring these films to America and present these perspectives to Long Islanders to enlighten and enhance their understanding of the world around us.

One programme is a focus solely on Women directors, the second programme category will focus the work of women practitioners in the roles of writers, actresses, producers and Directors of Cinematography but please note the film lead roles must be female led. If you have a film that has a strong female led role or strong female writer etc and you want to be considered for this sectin of the festival please submit to the Women Practitioners category. Film Directors should submit to the Women in Film (directors category).
General Information.
Established in 1995 the festival is now in it's 16th International Shorts edition. Kinofilm has a unique reputation for showcasing the best short films from around the world, whilst being renowned for seeking out diverse, challenging and groundbreaking new films. We welcome filmmakers that are pushing the boundaries of the short film art form. The festival maintains a high standard with many European & International award-winning shorts featured in the Festival. It includes special programmes in North West Shorts (UK), British New Wave, Euro Cine, International Panorama, Kino Exposed (student and youth shorts), low/no budget shorts, Animation and various themed programmes, giving new and emerging filmmakers the opportunity to have their work screened alongside that of critically acclaimed, established short filmmakers.
Please note for 2019, the festival will move dates to February 2020. We will further welcome short films and animations from Eastern Europe as we extend the Polish festival to include more Baltic countries. This year we welcome films for this section from Romania and Russia.
As part of out 16th anniversary we are introducing a features section called Transitions for those short filmmakers that have successfully made the transition from short film to feature. This section is for previous entrants of Kinofilm Festival and can only be entered if you have previously had a short film at Kinofilm Festival. You must provide the name of the short film and year of the festival it was screened in advance of submitting..
All short films should have been completed since January 2018 to present and be no longer than 20 mins (accept documentaries which can be up to 23 mins including credits). PLEASE NOTE FILMS SHOULD NOT BE ONLINE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ANY FILMS THAT ARE SEEN TO BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN WILL FACE DISQUALIFICATION.
WE ARE OFFERING STUDENTS (world wide) , GREATER MANCHESTER FILMMAKERS, Youths and community groups, Eastern European Filmmakers and Alumni Filmmakers 20% OF ALL SUBMISSION FEES (please see offers at the top of this entry). The discount is automatically applied when you submit your film to the relevant sections, entry fees start at just $10.00 Please note PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY MUST BE SHOWN in all these categories in advance of submitting the film, you will then receive a code to submit your film.
IRANIAN Filmmakers can submit for free (see above details).
Please note, if your film is selected for screening in one of the cinema screenings you must be able to provide either a DCP or high-quality Bluray of your film. Please contact us if any issues with this and we will try to resolve it by showing the film in one of the other programmes not requiring either of these formats. If it playing in one of our other venues then we will require a digital version, details supplied if your film is accepted.
REFUNDS GIVEN ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES: Please note if you make a genuine mistake and submit your film to us not realising that it does not fit all of the criteria, or you have to withdraw it for other reasons, we will refund your fee if the request is made only within the first two weeks from the date of submission. Films withdrawn later for other reasons such as you wish to withdraw it as your film has been accepted in another festival that requires premier status, will not receive a refund. (Please note that any refunds will be after FFW (8%) and PP (3.5%) commission fees already deducted from your fee, you will only be refunded the net amount that the festival receives).
Aims of the Festival:
1. To deliver a film festival of regional, national and international significance.
2. To nurture new talent and support the work of culturally diverse, emerging filmmakers.
3. To attract an industry base of filmmakers and media industry professionals, to encourage the exchange of ideas and development of partnerships.
4. To attract cinema goers and diverse audiences that would not normally experience the short film art form or film festivals.
5. To focus on the needs of the regions filmmakers, visiting filmmakers and the region’s audiences.
The eighth edition of Ventana Oscura, will take place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 October 2016 at the Forum of FNAC Callao within the events of the Madrid Gothic Week VIII. During the event the selected works will be screened, and this event, only a sample and in no case a competitive contest.
Semillero Green Film Fest 2020 es la 10º edición del Concurso Nacional de Cortometrajes de Temática Ambiental. Su objetivo principal es fomentar la creatividad y apoyar la realización nacional independiente de obras audiovisuales cuyo contenido esté referido a la temática ambiental.
El concurso posee dos categorías de participación:
SEMILLERO
Incluye a todas aquellas personas residentes en la Argentina, con domicilio acreditable en el país, o de nacionalidad argentina y que residan en el exterior, mayores de 18 años, a través de la presentación de una o más obras.
SEMILLERITO
Incluye a todos los niños y niñas de nacionalidad argentina de entre 5 y 13 años, que estudien en las escuelas de educación primaria de todo el país, a través de la presentación de una o más obras. Se podrán presentar también las escuelas primarias de todo el país, tanto de gestión pública como privada.
