I Discover Film Awards sono uno dei più grandi festival di cortometraggi al mondo, con oltre 5.000 iscrizioni annuali provenienti da oltre 100 paesi, anteprime globali a Leicester Square di Londra con pubblico ricco di cinema, feste di cineasti, eventi sul red carpet, tavole rotonde per il lancio di sceneggiature con fondi disponibili per i nuovi e un fondo annuale di premi in denaro di oltre 50.000 dollari, incluso il prestigioso Craghoppers Film Prize.
Il festival del cinema è costantemente votato tra i primi 50 del mondo. Distribuito in 5 giorni nell'ottobre 2019, il festival prevede proiezioni al cinema pubblico presso il cinema Prince Charles di Leicester Square a Londra. Quentin Tarantino lo descrive come il suo cinema preferito a Londra dicendo che è «tutto ciò che un cinema indipendente dovrebbe essere». I
film sono alla ricerca dei migliori cortometraggi: storie che condividono la vita dei registi; ciò che li infastidisce o li fa ridere, delle ingiustizie, degli eroi non cantati, del serio, del bizzarro, del divertente o semplicemente dove l'immaginazione dei cineasti li porta. Tutti i tipi di cortometraggi sono invitati a partecipare con premi per: azione, dramma, fantascienza, docs, horror, commedia, sperimentale e tutto il resto (un elenco completo delle categorie di premi è fornito, di seguito). Tutti i film devono essere meno di 45 minuti.
Uno dei principali partner sostenitori del festival è Craghoppers, il marchio globale di abbigliamento outdoor, che assegna The Craghoppers Film Prize, uno dei più grandi premi in denaro disponibili per i cortometraggi. Il primo premio è di 20.000 sterline (26.000 dollari) in contanti con un secondo premio di 5.000 sterline (6.500 dollari) e ulteriori premi di 5.000 sterline (6.500 dollari) per il miglior film d'impatto sociale e 2.000 sterline (2.600 dollari) per il miglior film studentesco. Inoltre, ci sono vari premi in natura da parte degli sponsor. I film
selezionati hanno la possibilità di varie opportunità di distribuzione a pagamento, tra cui la TV internazionale, i principali treni, gli hotel e le compagnie aeree. La distribuzione è facoltativa e dipende interamente dal cineasta.
Oltre ai premi in denaro, i vincitori possono ottenere aiuto per i futuri progetti cinematografici sotto forma di tariffe scontate da aziende partner (come case di produzione) e di mentoring da parte di senior film commerciali e dirigenti aziendali. Il festival introduce anche i registi alle fonti di finanziamento per progetti futuri e offre pubblicità attraverso una vasta gamma di media (stampa e social) quindi entra oggi!
Bellissimo festival che si svolge a Modica e Gela - ITALIA .. Modica è la città natale di Salvatore Quasimodo e il festival gli è dedicato, il premio Nobel per la poesia. Il festival ha raggiunto la sua XVI edizione e accoglie poeti, videografi, registi, scrittori e qualsiasi artista che si occupa del tema del festival: cinema e poesia. La sezione cinema è dedicata a cortometraggi di videopoesia, cortometraggi di finzione, videoclip e lungometraggi.

Allo stesso tempo, il Festival ha dedicato retrospettive a “vecchie” glorie e ha saputo scoprire nuovi talenti. A completare il tutto, la splendida cornice della città di Lucca rende questo evento un appuntamento ormai consolidato, molto atteso e imperdibile in Italia e in Europa: il Lucca Film Festival.
Sin dalla sua nascita, il festival si è impegnato nella promozione del cinema contemporaneo. Per questo motivo, registi da tutto il mondo possono iscrivere i loro film alla sezione competitiva del festival tramite l’apposita call for entries. L’edizione 2026 del Lucca Film Festival si terrà dal 26 settembre al 4 ottobre.
Il Lucca Film Festival comprende tre concorsi: il Concorso Internazionale di Lungometraggi, il Concorso Internazionale di Cortometraggi e il Concorso di Cortometraggi “Lucca Film Festival for Future”.
Il 2026 segnerà la 22ª edizione del Concorso Internazionale di Lungometraggi. Nelle precedenti edizioni, importanti personalità del cinema come Cristi Puiu, Rutger Hauer, Philip Groening, Claudio Giovannesi, Daniele Ciprì, Massimo Gaudioso, Massimo Cantini Parrini e Lina Nerli Taviani hanno fatto parte della giuria internazionale.
I film presentati in questa competizione sono anteprime italiane e l’ultima edizione è stata vinta da The Cage Is Looking for a Bird di Malika Musaeva.
Sono previsti quattro premi:
Miglior lungometraggio (3000 €), assegnato da una giuria composta da ospiti illustri del mondo cinematografico e accademico;
Premio Università al miglior lungometraggio, assegnato da una giuria universitaria;
Premio del Pubblico al miglior lungometraggio;
Premio Marcello Petrozziello.
Per chi fosse interessato a partecipare, il termine ultimo per le iscrizioni è il 15 luglio 2026, entro la mezzanotte.
Non vi sono limitazioni di genere o tema. Gli unici requisiti sono: durata minima di 60 minuti, film non proiettati prima del 1° gennaio 2026 e anteprime italiane, quindi non devono essere stati presentati in altri festival italiani, né resi disponibili su piattaforme online aperte o distribuiti in Italia.
Per il ventisettesimo anno consecutivo si terrà il concorso storico dedicato ai cortometraggi, il cui vincitore riceverà un premio di 1000 €. Ogni anno la commissione di selezione valuta oltre 500 film. Tra i registi che hanno partecipato alle edizioni precedenti figura anche Adan Jodorowsky, figlio del celebre cineasta cileno.
I cortometraggi non hanno limitazioni di genere o tema; l’unico requisito è che non superino i 29 minuti di durata. Anche per questo concorso, il termine per le iscrizioni è il 15 luglio 2026, entro la mezzanotte.
Giunge alla sua seconda edizione il nuovo concorso di cortometraggi “Lucca Film Festival for Future”, nato grazie alla collaborazione con il Gruppo Sofidel, secondo produttore europeo e settimo al mondo nel settore della carta per uso igienico e domestico (noto in particolare per il marchio Regina). Sofidel ha fatto della sostenibilità una leva strategica di sviluppo e crescita responsabile, impegnandosi a ridurre il proprio impatto sul capitale naturale e a favorire la transizione verso un’economia a basse emissioni di carbonio.
L’elenco dei film selezionati sarà pubblicato sul sito del festival entro il 10 settembre 2026. Durante il festival, i film saranno proiettati nei cinema aderenti e resi disponibili anche on demand.

DocuTIFF is exited inviting filmmakers to submit their films in the third edition of 2017 festival, which will take place in Tirana, this coming June, 2–9, 2017. DocuTIFF invites all documentaries from established and debut filmmakers alike to apply their films in International Competition and In Albanian Competition.
DocuTIFF aims to encouraging documentary film production in Albania and to give more chances to our filmmakers finding cooperation and enabling mutual contacts with their colleagues in our region, to build up a favorable climate creation in Albania and wider in region for development and cooperation of such productions.
DocuTIFF last year screened 180 films in three venues as well as in open air making it the largest film festival of its kind in Albania and one of the most important in the region.

With our media partners we offer the possibility to directors screening their films (selected for the official competitive program or not) to the Albanian audience and win the TV audience awards in a yearly competition.
∆ DocuTIFF on Tour
DocuTIFF will act as ambassador for the submitted films and will travel with a selection to other Albanian cities during the year. DocuTIFF will also propose special screenings to other regional festivals in accordance to a specific subject or theme of each collaborative festival.
∆ DocuTIFF Online Library
TIFF offer the online presentation of each film, in a dedicated page, as a part of a film library, with all related information and with the possibility to receive comments from the international Internet audience and industry. The screening of films is open to anyone without charges. The films will be available for viewing in the film library as long as director/producer wishes.
∆ DocuTIFF Market Corner
DocuTIFF will create a market corner during the eight days, where potential buyers can watch all films and make their selection. DocuTIFF will also act as a festival promoter and distributor. In case of financial contract with a distributor, DocuTIFF will receive a fee of 5%.
Since2008, the MAACASSO association organizes each year, an international art film festival called NYGO for “Nos Yeux Grands Ouverts” (which means Our Eyes Wide Open) . The festival creates a competition between young artists. Our aim is to promote and highlight the new talents of the contemporary audiovisual creation. For the 10th edition, on March the 1st, our association is looking for young artists with an art film project that will be submitted to the judgement of the NYGO jury.
This year, we invite all the candidates to work on the theme “Resonance”. This theme can be treated in a sonor, visual or conceptual way because it can be understood as a reflect, or an impact with consequences. The resonance is a link between two elements, an impact of one to another, an answer from one to another. The artist must express a resonance in its film, but its goal can also be the achievement of its own resonance into the public’s appreciation, to create a link between the artwork’s meaning and the spectator’s feeling.
We want the art films to be a mean for the artists to spread their ideas, visions, concerns and feelings as a shock wave on the public, and a canal to interconnect individuals.
Criteria to respect:
Person aged 18 to 30 years old.
Respect the theme imposed in his creative process.
One project per applicant but several artists possible on the realization.
The film must be between 1 minutes 30 seconds and 8 minutes, including the credits.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.

Besides the main International Competition, Ca’Foscari Short Film Festival includes the “Olga Brunner Levi” competition- centred on short movies directed by high school students focusing on “womanliness and music” theme - and an International Competition of music videos directed by film school students or university students.
The FINDECOIN - Independent International Short Film Festival "The day is short" Search diffusion and promotion of Venezuelan, Latin American and World cinematography; And of all its cultural field. It tries to show cinematographic works that entertain, but above all, that they exert an educative influence in the children, young people and population in general.

Il Brussels Short Film Festival è una mostra destinata agli amanti del cinema, sia al pubblico che ai professionisti. Lo scopo è promuovere e far circolare i cortometraggi e generare contatti tra pubblico, giovani registi e professionisti.
Dal 2018, il vincitore del Gran Premio del Concorso Internazionale potrà essere preso in considerazione nella categoria Cortometraggi animati/Cortometraggi dal vivo degli Academy Awards® senza la normale trasmissione nelle sale, a condizione che il film sia altrimenti conforme alle regole dell'Academy.
The season of LOVE is upon us.
Has LOVE been good to you? Have you been smitten by its beauty and captivated by its passion? Does the mention of your loved one fill you with joy?
Or is it a season which weighs upon you. Its trials and tribulations, the heartbreaks, quarrels, cheating, possessiveness, you know what we mean, right?
IS LOVE - The most amazing feeling in the world or just another four letter word?
Whether you're a full-time Aashiq or frustrated Romeo, pick up that camera and show us what love means to you -good or bad, funny or sad, beautiful or ugly, all aspects of it!
This contest is your chance to submit a short film less than 20 minutes on either LOVE or its SIDE EFFECTS, as you perceive them. In this season of love express your feelings through a film and win some amazing prizes.
1 What are we looking for?
Short Films on the theme of
a. Love, romance, affection, etc.
b. The side effects of love including breakups, commitment phobia, possessiveness, manipulation, emotional blackmail and so on. This is the season of love and some light-hearted fun is welcome.
2 Duration Maximum – 20 minutes (excluding credits)
3 Deadlines Last Date of Submissions – 14th February 2017
