The Asian Film Festival. Barcelona (AFFB) took over in 2010 as Asian Film Festival of Barcelona (BAFF), which was closed in its twelfth edition despite the public requests and expectations to maintain the continuity of this event. Since then, the AFFB has proposed to provide the best recently produced Asian films and prominent Spanish productions related to Asia. As a specialist in Asian cinema festival, it aims to become one of the best events in this field of the world in Europe and the meeting point of other festivals that have a clear Asian mark. In the 2011 and 2015 editions of the Casa Asia Film Week (CAFW) it has received support from the audience and the collaboration of numerous agencies and institutions. The festival held in 2016 was named Casa Asia Film Festival and since 2017 it is called Asian Film Festival. Barcelona.
El objetivo es presentar una selección de los mejores cortometrajes realizados en Colombia o por colombianos en el exterior, en las categorías de ficción, animación, documental, comunitario, indígena, afro, experimental e infantil con el fin de permitir la difusión, el diálogo y la evaluación del desarrollo e importancia del cortometraje dentro de la realización cinematográfica.

Bajo el concepto de Límites Convergentes, CINETORO 2026 propone una curaduría inspirada en la potencia de la colisión tectónica. Así como en la geología un límite convergente es el espacio donde dos placas chocan para destruir lo viejo y elevar nuevas cordilleras y volcanes, esta edición busca películas donde el impacto entre lenguajes genere nuevas formas de ver y escuchar.
Nos alejamos de la lectura estática de los mapas —esa división arbitraria de puntos y rayas — para enfocarnos en la energía que surge en la zona de contacto, allí donde la fricción entre lo humano y lo no-humano, o entre el aquí y el allá, construye nuevas geografías narrativas.
CINETORO 2026 convoca obras que exploren procesos de choque y emergencia. Buscamos películas que utilicen la experimentación como herramienta para desdibujar los trazados políticos y sociales, proponiendo una mirada que reconozca la continuidad de la selva o la vastedad del desierto por encima de las ficciones geográficas.
¿Cómo se transforma la mirada cuando la forma cinematográfica es el resultado de un choque de fuerzas?.
En esta edición, la frontera no es un muro infranqueable, sino una zona viva de creación; un espacio de riesgo formal que desafía las categorías preestablecidas para permitirnos entender, a través del cine en el margen, qué nuevas uniones surgen cuando nos atrevemos a habitar el estado liminal. Buscamos películas que habiten el intersticio: el espacio que queda justo en medio de la línea, invitando a una experiencia cinematográfica donde los géneros no solo se crucen, sino que se transformen. Nos interesa un cine de hibridación donde el documental, la animación y la ficción funcionen como placas en constante movimiento
Esta es una invitación a un cine que no tema de cruzar el límite y desdibujarlo; un cine que habite la periferia y la frontera para elevar, desde el margen, nuevas y necesarias montañas de imaginación.

International Shorts es un festival de cine durante todo el año que proyecta películas seleccionadas al final de cada temporada (primavera, verano, otoño e invierno). Las mejores películas del Festival se proyectarán el 30 de enero de 2021 en Angelika Theater, Union Market, Washington DC
El propósito del festival se refiere al conocimiento tanto de los filtros externos de la pantalla, incluida la censura (comercial, ideológica, estética), como de los filtros internos de la percepción y la proyección de la pantalla, incluida la autocensura. PROBLEMA DE ALIENACIÓN
Vivimos en un mundo de centros comerciales y multicines. Vemos que el cine independiente y el arte no comercial pasan a la periferia de la atención pública. Las atracciones primitivas sustituyen a la cinematografía. El público que huye se siente alienado detrás de la gran pantalla. Por lo tanto, el cine convencional moderno es parte de una herramienta de manipulación que conduce a la sociedad de la alienación. Por lo tanto, la tendencia es que el cine independiente se vuelva más ilegible para el público en general. Debemos entender el contexto del cineasta para entender el cine independiente. Por eso, el concepto NEFILTRAVANAE KINO implica la presencia física de los cineastas.
PROBLEMA DE SELECCIÓN DE PELÍCULAS
Los cineastas filman millones de películas. Y miles de festivales de cortometrajes organizan proyecciones en todo el mundo cada año. En promedio, se presentan varios miles de películas a un festival de cine. Por lo tanto, se pueden descuidar varias películas buenas por cualquier motivo. El Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de la Diversidad Social TODOS SOMOS OTROS pretende ser una plataforma para que jóvenes cortometrajistas de todo el mundo divulguen sus obras y compartan experiencias e inquietudes en unas jornadas dedicadas al cine y a las personas.
El cine no existiría sin las personas, pero ¿puede haber personas sin cine? Desde luego que sí, y sin casa y sin ropa y sin comida, lleno está el mundo de personas que no tienen nada, tampoco cine. A todas ellas dedicamos nuestro festival para que el cine les sirva de voz, incluso de grito. Un medio para reivindicar la justicia, la igualdad y los derechos que el mundo les niega. Un medio ágil y actual para denunciar la injusticia y la desigualdad, el horror.
Este esfuerzo, parte de la premisa de que lo que ha sido el monopolio de una industria multimillonaria, está mutando en un sistema masivo de creación e intercambio multicultural. El acceso a la tecnología y al Internet abren campo a nuevas expresiones juveniles y comunitarias, el hacer cine se transforma y pretendemos responder a esa transformación.

Bucharest Film Awards promotes short and feature films from around the world with 18 awards in 3 categories. Only films accepted in our Official Selection are eligible to screenings.
All submitted films will be reviewed by a jury of film professionals, that will look for creativity, talent, powerful ideas, quality and attention to details, regardless of the experience of those involved in the creation process and the budget of the submitted works.
The Film Competition will be a 3-day event that will include thematic workshops, live screening events, industry talks and networking cocktails.
In addition to the Film Competition, we created Spotlight with the aim of better promoting the best submitted projects. We will screen the best 10 films submitted in the first 6 months of the year.
The East Coast Film Festival is an independent film festival for lovers of independent film. The festival is based at the Savoy Hotel on the Lincolnshire coast. Entry for students and Linconshire based films & filmmakers is free! ( proof required )
All film genres are accepted at the East Coast Festival with a focus on low budget independent films. Selected Film makers are invited to attend the screenings and awards ceremony on 3rd September. The selected films will also have the opportunity to be included in The East Coast Anthology DVD compilation which will be available exclusively through the East Coast Film Festival website with all proceeds donated to Starlight Children's charity.
Desde CINESPACIO queremos enfocar esta edición del festival en aquellas obras que han puesto su atención en las condiciones migratorias y su relación con las formas de producción audiovisuales. En un mundo donde se construyen fronteras de manera constante y se trazan líneas imaginarias que vulneran identidades -así como las crean-, es necesario para el sector audiovisual pensarse y dialogar su papel en los modos de realización y en las temáticas representadas.
Proponemos interpretar la frontera como un espacio donde las identidades transnacionales nacen y entran en pugna; un espacio donde se generan nuevas redes y comunidades emocionales que están en perpetuo movimiento; un espacio donde enfrentan los retos del reconocimiento del individuo y de la pertenencia comunitaria. Si la frontera es aquello que delimita lo que somos, el cruzar las fronteras implica, entonces, el reto de ser otro y de conocer cómo ser otro a través del acercamiento y el tacto, teniendo en cuenta que aquello contenido en las fronteras, al ser tocado por lo supuesto externo, no volverá a ser igual.
ANTOFACINE, Festival Internacional de Cine de Antofagasta, Chile, se presenta como una instancia de encuentro de la creación cinematográfica nacional e internacional y es con ese objetivo que deseamos contribuir a:
● Difundir el cine de ficción, no ficción y animación como una herramienta de transformación cultural y social, beneficiando a todos los habitantes de la Región de Antofagasta, Chile.

El Festival de Cine de Zaragoza, nace en 1995 para crear una actividad cinematográfica en la ciudad. En principio su denominación principal fue la de Jóvenes Realizadores. A partir del año 2007 su nombre oficial pasó a ser el de Festival Cine Zaragoza.

Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.

In addition to being one of the most dynamic festivals, one of the most popular attractions that the Great Lakes International Film Festival offers to Filmmakers is our home, Erie Pennsylvania. As one of the most unique communities, Erie proffers an amazing landscape that is as diverse as the people that make up its City.
Seated on the shores of Lake Erie, the beautiful Presque Isle State Park is a peninsula with amazing beaches and trails that curve around Presque Isle Bay. This 3,112-acre park boasts 13 miles of roads, 21 miles of recreational trails, 13 beaches for swimming, a myriad of wildlife and a lovely marina.
Nearby, Waldameer Amusement Park & Water World has roller coasters and waterslides along with many other attractions to engage visiting Filmmakers and attendees alike. The Erie Maritime Museum traces the history of Lake Erie and is the homeport of the US Brig Niagara, a historic 19th-century ship.
Only a few blocks away the Erie Art Museum features a very impressive collection of 20th-century works, while a number of local playhouses deliver off-Broadway-style stage plays regularly.
Erie Pa also features a cornucopia of stunning historic architecture throughout, including the very impres-sive West Sixth Street Historic District, otherwise known as Millionaire's Row. Consisting of 117 beautiful buildings originally constructed in the Victorian era by lumber, banking, and Manufacturing barons such as Peter Herdic as their homes. Millionaire's Row now stands as a remarkable testament to an age long past.
In addition to awarding outstanding Filmmakers with Best of Genre Awards, our Festival offers an audience Choice Award to the Filmmaker whose film is the most popular with our attendees, and that receives the most attendee votes.
Since our inception, the Great Lakes International Film Festival has showcased more than 4,000 films, and has played host to countless celebrities and actors, and has amassed a formidable catalog of exceptionally high caliber Independent Films and career launches, with countless films that have gone on to be screened on the Sundance Channel, IFC, PBS and HBO along with so many more filmmakers who have received dis-tribution deals after screening in our festival.
While the success of the GLIFF has not come from an excess of big-name celebrities crowding its red car-pet, we feel that it instead is rooted in the much more important attention to detail that we offer, and most significantly, the very personal way in which we interact with each and every Filmmaker who has allowed us the honor of presenting their films over the past 25 years, doing our best to make each Filmmaker a part of our Festival family with ties that bind far beyond only one festival season.
Showcasing the best films of the 2026 season, the Great Lakes International Film Festival will be held LIVE in the great city of Erie, Pennsylvania starting on September 24, 2026, with our virtual screenings con-tinuing through October 10, 2026.
Though we have never focused on the big name Hollywood celebrities, still our Festival has played host to numerous special guests that include, writer, producer Bill Hinzman of Flesheaters and Night of the Living Dead; director Lloyd Kaufman of the Toxic Avenger films, Pot Zombies, and President of Troma Films; ac-tor Gunnar Hansen of Texas Chainsaw Massacre; actor and director Mark Borchardt of American Movie and Coven; Erick Rodgers (Writer of NYPD Blue); best-selling mystery author Jamian Snow (Shrouded Insani-ty); John Hancock (“Hill Street Blues”, “The Twilight Zone”, & California Dreaming); actress and “Scream Queen” Debbie Rochon (Blood Relic, Vampyre Tales, & Lord of the Undead); Bobby Logan (Meatballs 4 & Repossessed), along with so many more.
As one of the premier film festivals worldwide, the Great Lakes International Film Festival held its inaugural festival in the fall of 2002, welcoming internationally acclaimed celebrities like Dirk Benedict, best known for his work on Battlestar Galactica and A-Team, along with Hollywood script guru Harri James who worked as script supervisor for blockbuster films and TV Shows as ER, Alias, Tremors II: Aftershocks, and Tremors 4: The Legend Begins, to name only a few.
In that same year, B.J. and the Bear & Up in Smoke producer, Otto Felix visited the festival along with the renowned Keith Carradine being presented with a lifetime achievement award for his dedication and con-tributions to indie film.
Since that time, the Great Lakes International Film Festival has had many films go on to greatness like “The Derby Stallion” which was released through Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, a subsidiary of Disney, and Director Joel Miller’s film “The Still Life” that received distribution through Warner Home Video after having been screened at the festival.
As far back as 2004, the Great Lakes International Film Festival had the proud pleasure to present the North East United States Premiere of “SAW”, Lions Gate Films’ gripping psychological thriller starring Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, and Leigh Whannel.
The legendary Terry Moore was our special guest of honor and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her amazing accomplishments in film over the past 60 years, while international recording su-perstar Dizzy Reed of Guns ‘N Roses performed before a capacity crowd at our Film Festival.

The Liverpool Irish Festival is proud to be supporting the inaugural Celtic Animation Film Festival, which will feature as part of this year’s programme, showcasing creative ingenuity and stories from and about Celtic life. The inaugural Celtic Animation Film Festival competition provides a platform for established animators of Celtic heritage and emerging Celtic animators from around the world.
CAFc celebrates storytelling relating to Celtic identity, myths, cultural history and personal stories from Celtic animators from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man, Brittany and Cornwall and those who have migrated around the world. CAFc also welcomes international animation submissions celebrating cultural diversity and identity from outside the Celtic regions.
