Woodpecker International Film Festival (WIFF) is India's premier competitive film festival focusing on issue-based cinema. Launched in the year 2013 the festival will be organising its 4th annual edition in September 2016.
WIFF aims not only to showcase the rich mélange of visual creativity in the film industry worldwide but also to promote films, documentaries and advertisements focusing on socially pertinent themes like environment and wildlife, gender, Livelihoods, public health, disability and children through this film festival. A major attraction of the film festival would be off-screen activities. Seminars, conferences, workshops and master classes to help filmmakers and film enthusiasts explore contemporary issues, network with professional associates, hone their filmmaking skills and share the power of storytelling through cinema.

O Quinto Festival Internacional de Cinema Slemani acontecerá em outubro, reunindo cineastas renomados dos palcos nacional e internacional. O Festival de Cinema de Palena é uma competição de quatro dias que acontecerá em Palena (CH) - Itália, de 10 a 12 de agosto de 2023.
A noite de entrega de prêmios acontecerá no Teatro Aventino “Ettore Maria Margadonna” em Palena, em 12 de agosto de 2023 (21:00, horário local).
Fundado em 2008 pela associação cultural de Palena (Associazione Culturale Palenese) e reconhecido como um dos festivais de curta-metragem mais importantes do mundo, o Festival de Cinema de Palena (anteriormente conhecido como “Premio Cinematografico Palena” desde sua criação há nove anos) recebeu mais de 10.500 curtas-metragens filmes, animações e videoclipes de mais de 125 países dos 5 continentes ao longo dos anos nas últimas nove edições.
O Festival de Cinema de Palena está aberto a qualquer diretor e/ou roteirista, juntamente com produções próprias, feitas recentemente, de todos os tipos de estilos e assuntos.
Cada diretor pode inscrever curtas-metragens, animações ou vídeos musicais (taxa de inscrição para cada projeto).
O tempo de exibição dos filmes não deve exceder 40 minutos (créditos de abertura e encerramento incluídos).
O prazo para envio de inscrições é 30 de junho de 2023 (23:59, horário local).
A taxa de admissão é fixada em €20,00 (EUR) para cada projeto.
O Festival de Cinema de Palena celebra dois representantes eminentes da comunidade de Palena: o roteirista italiano Ettore Maria Margadonna (recebeu uma indicação à Academia) e o Prêmio Nastro d'Argento de Cinema Italiano; trabalhou em “Pão, Amor e Sonhos” de Luigi Comencini com Vittorio De Sica e Gina Lollobrigida;” Pão, amor e ciúme” de Luigi Comencini com Vittorio De Sica e Gina Lollobrigida; “Escândalo em Sorrento” de Dino Risi com Vittorio De Sica, Sophia Loren e Tina Pica; “Pão, amor e Andaluzia” de Javier Setó com Vittorio De Sica, Carmen Sevilla e Vicente Parra; ator em ““O xeique branco” de Federico Fellini com Alberto Sordi e Giulietta Masina) e a cantora e personalidade da televisão americana Perry Como (Prêmio Grammy), conhecida por canções populares como “Magic Moments”, “Papa loves mambo”, “Caterina”, “Here we come A-caroling”, “Está começando a se parecer muito com o Natal “; trabalhou com Frank Sinatra e Dean Martin, também conhecido por programas de televisão populares como “The Perry Como Show” e “The Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall).

Entries requirements:
-> All films must have been made in or after 2012 and have English subtitles (unless English is the main language spoken); A creation date does not apply in case of the screen writings from being stopped for submissions, but the submitted must be in English or have a copy translated in English;
-> We accept shorts, documentaries, animations, experimental, music videos, web and new media, commercials (all specified previously under 45 minutes); feature films and feature documentaries (any length, 45 + minutes);
->A description between 50 and 150 words;
->Trailer (not required for movies under 7 minutes; optional) and the film must be submitted as an on-line screener (Vimeo preferred) which may be embedded on the website for visitors to see your creation; you can further opt for modifications in your entry;

The CFF is a festival dedicated to audiovisual theme environmental and natural. Aims to collect the most interesting images and reward the efforts and talent of the young, but not only, that invest their energy in telling the green that still surrounds us. The Festival through the art of film aims to focus attention on what is happening in our world, with particular reference to all that is now environment.
Place of complaint and reflection: the cinema on the environment as a medium of international communication, comparison as well as container criticism, development and promotion.
Never before, in particular in our region comes an obligation to advertise, support, advertise "material" that can move us to reflection, that can make us stop and think about everything that surrounds us. Environment stolen, but also regained. As a physical space but also spiritual.
The films must draw an unusual path that begins "from the works of the complaint and the testimony of brave men and women involved in the defense of their territories, to get to the proposal of new models of sustainable living or hypothesis of dire future scenarios" .
Festival films will follow two main criteria: great attention to the works of 'our home' and fictional stories, trying to put together the reality cinema, the documentary, which so far has been the 'official spokesperson' of environmental concerns. The Festival is held in Caselle in Pittari in Province of Salerno, enchanting landscape setting, historic, cultural and natural in the heart of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano on Bussento river.
Major players in the national cinema will participate in the event, meet the young protagonists actively debating with them giving valuable advice. Participation in the survey, the entrance to the screenings of films and events scheduled are free until all the seats available.
