The DC Shorts Film Festival showcases one of the largest collection of short films in the USA. In 2015, we screened 125 films from 26 countries in 17 unique showcases over 11 days to audiences of more than 9,000 people.
The festival has been named as the “Coolest Short Film Festival” by MovieMaker Magazine, and is a three-time winner of the Washington City Paper’s “Coolest Short Film Festival” contest/award. The 11-day event (September 8-18, 2016) includes film screenings, Q&As, filmmaker workshops and parties in locations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and online through the secure DC Shorts Online Film Festival.

The World Cinema Festival provides various screening and networking opportunities around the world for talented independent filmmakers and writers.
Each season of the WCF will take place in a different city around the world. The inaugural season of the WCF aims to be a delightful one. We’ll be setting the 2016 session off in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. We will establish a sense of worldwide community within the filmmaking and literary industries while showcasing an array of amazing independent talent and artistry. Our 10 categories of submission will provide plenty of variety for the different styles of creative expression. Screenings will take in Copacabana at the JW Marriott. Le SICAF International Animated Film Festival est l'un des festivals d'animation les plus renommés en Asie. Le 23ème Festival International de Cartoon & Animation de Séoul espère non seulement préserver les traditions passées, mais aussi découvrir avec de nouvelles tendances passionnantes dans l'industrie de l'animation. « Chaque année, la FICBC est plus complète, sans oublier de donner de la visibilité à chaque film sélectionné. De nombreuses rencontres entre le public et les professionnels et entre professionnels de différents pays ont permis de consolider de nouvelles coproductions », explique André Gevaerd, fondateur et directeur du festival. Pour la commissaire Barbara Sturm, l'objectif est de « montrer le meilleur du cinéma artistique actuel dans les productions nationales et internationales et en plaçant les réalisateurs pour interagir avec le public et la presse ».
Il s'agit d'un événement culturel au format innovant qui s'est consolidé comme un événement d'une grande importance. Plusieurs médias suivent son développement et le placent comme une partie officielle du calendrier annuel des grands festivals du cinéma. En dix ans, nous avons présenté des invités importants tels que les réalisateurs Carlos Sorín, Frederike Jehn, Helene Klotz, Hanna Doose, Beto Brant, Renato Ciasca, Sérgio Machado, Rubens Velloso, Patrícia Moran, Francisco Garcia, Chico Faganello, David Schurmann, l'artiste Hans Op Beeck, les actrices Bianca Byington, Paula Bradano, Djin Sganzerla, Christiane Tricerri, les acteurs Marcos Azevedo et Ivo Muller, le critique Rodrigo Fonseca, entre autres, qui étaient présents et étaient en contact direct avec le public.

Catarina : projette des films réalisés par des réalisateurs de Santa Catarina ou qui ont une relation - réalisateur, producteur, casting, équipe, lieu, autres - avec l'État de Santa Catarina.
Nocturnal : ouvre une fenêtre sur un cinéma fantastique pendant les séances nocturnes.
Little Owl : offre de la programmation pour tous les âges, formant de jeunes fans de cinéma.

IndieFlicks is the UK's monthly film festival, supporting the best up and coming filmmakers from around the world. IndieFlicks is continuously growing, hosting simultaneous screenings in Manchester, London and Sheffield. We also host a repeat screening the following week in Liverpool.

How our monthly festival works…
Our Monthly Festival is a showcase of Short films from around the world, screening 50 minutes of short film in the first half, followed by our selected Feature Short in the second. We also host a Q&A with filmmakers able to attend and talks with local creatives.
At each event, two films will be selected to win either one of our awards:
The People’s Choice Award
The Directors Choice Award
Films included in the first half are nominated for our 'The People's Choice Award’; This is evidently voted for our audiences on the night and votes are calculated collectively from all of our venues.
In the second half of the night we host our 'Feature Short', one film no longer than 50 minutes. This is our headliner for the event. This film is awarded, ‘The Directors Choice Award’, one that our Judging panel felt deserves recognition.

The Superman Celebration Film Festival is for films in the comics, superhero, science fiction, and fantasy genres. It is especially geared towards films about superheroes, super-villains, or films that fit in the general superhero archetype, including fan-made films about existing characters in comics and film, as well as superheroes/super-villains of the entrant's own creation. The films must be 20 minutes or less in length and be family-friendly.
The Superman Celebration Film Festival is a family-friendly film festival and contest dedicated to showcasing films that appeal to fans of science fiction, comics, video games, and fantasy, with a special focus on films that fit within the archetypes covered by comic books. Sponsored and hosted by Superman Celebration, the world's largest festival dedicated to Superman, and the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce, the Superman Celebration Film Festival screens films from around the world and celebrates the creativity and ingenuity of filmmakers as they bring to life their favorite characters from comics books, films, television, literature, and other media, as well as those of their own creation.
The festival is open to short, family-friendly fan films of 20 minutes or less. All submissions must fit the genres covered by comics and pop fandom, including science fiction, video games, fantasy, and fan films. (For a definition of what a fan film is, please see the end of the article.) There is no admission charge to attend the festival, and there is a nominal submission fee of $10 USD.
Introduced at the 2015 Festival, the "Super Grab Bag" category is a challenge for filmmakers to create a fan film with three off-the-wall required elements. This year's required elements are a map, an banana, and a private detective.
Films will be screened during Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois, June 9th-12th, 2016. Trophies and prizes will be awarded during a special ceremony. Date, time, and location will be announced on the Superman Celebration website at www.supermancelebration.net.
The deadline for entry is April 15th, 2016 at 5:00 pm CST. .
Superman Celebration attracts around 40,000 fans from around the world every year. It is sponsored by the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce and the City of Metropolis, Illinois and is held annually during the second weekend in June. The festival features celebrity appearances, comics artists and writers, musical acts, a costume contest, and a wide array of programming for superhero fans of all ages.

DEFINITION OF A FAN FILM: A fan film is a film or video inspired by a film, television program, comic book or a similar source, created by fans rather than by the source's copyright holders or creators.

L'association Caostica décernera le prix Bizarre au participant qui représente le mieux l'esprit frais, innovant, original, irrévérencieux, martien, farceur, étrange, risqué, courageux et audacieux qui caractérise ce festival, quelle que soit la section dans laquelle il est inscrit. LE FESTIVAL : MOUVEMENT CULTUREL
Le Festival est né avec une mission bien précise : il vise à attirer l'attention du public vers un espace représentatif ouvert et large, tel que l'environnement rural, en faisant de ses projections extérieures, ouvertes à tous, le meilleur représentant. Les jeunes et les adultes, les générations séparées par les années et les expériences, se réunissent autour d'un écran qui met en lumière un passé et un futur : la culture est intemporelle, la culture unit, et le langage cinématographique sera le lien commun pour tempérer les émotions et les sentiments, pour conserver les souvenirs, pour provoquer des rassemblements animés.
Ainsi, tous les participants à l'événement peuvent profiter d'un discours hétérogène et dynamique. Grâce à cette impulsion culturelle, les différents courants de créativité permettent aux spectateurs de se déplacer et d'explorer des codes nouveaux et anciens dans un espace public, créant ainsi une communauté.
L'Art of Brooklyn Film Festival est un événement unique qui réunit les célèbres cinéastes et cinéastes de Brooklyn avec leurs pairs à travers le pays et dans le monde entier. L'AOBFF, primé, est un événement axé sur les cinéastes, une plateforme et une vitrine pour les créateurs émergents passionnants et les voix établies.
