CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Blacklight Film + Video Series is currently seeking submissions for the upcoming Trouble Found Me film screening on October 16th, 2016 at Sediment Arts in Richmond, VA.
We are seeking narrative short films that touch on subjects of broken innocence //shattering of the adolescent bubble. Bad Dreams. Bad Ideas. Poor Execution. Themes of the paranormal welcome, given the season!
Submissions must be under 15 minutes in length and all genres are accepted. Work can be traditional or experimental and can be created in any film/video medium (VHS, Super 8, DSLR, etc.). Multiple submissions are accepted.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: October 9th, 2016
We ask that applicants include in their submissions:
-title of the piece
-run time
-year the work was completed
-a data DVD or online link to view the piece (preferred)

BUDAFEST is a Budapest film festival dedicated to the glocal culture. 2016 is the first edition. It will be the feast of the brotherwood of two people and of two movie worlds: the Italian and the Hungarian.
We will connect the world with Budapest and Budapest with the world: we have the Magyar section and the international one. We have also a special section dedicated to very fast movies, maximum 3 minutes. This section, called BUDAFAST is a contest, the "Easy Ticket" to the global market for young filmmakers, with no other limit of age and nationality but a fresh, immediate vision of the world & a new way to shoot it. Participation is easy, register is easy. A very short duration of minimum 30 "seconds and maximum 3 minutes in a Ground-level sequence with a mobile phones, a tablets, a digicamera... Brasília Animation Festival is the firts International Film Festival in Brasília, exclusevily for animation movies. The short films selected will be displayed between 04 and October 06, 2019. There will be a special session, named "Bloody Session", dedicated exclusively to marginal, experimental movies, fantastic, surreal and even scatological.

Manchmal werden wir gewarnt, dass wir, wenn „Größe keine Rolle spielt“, audiovisuelle Werke ohne Längenbeschränkung auswählen und zeigen müssten, und vielleicht sind sie nicht falsch. Wir sind jedoch der Meinung, dass die Dinge nicht zu groß sein müssen, um wichtig, schön, notwendig oder entscheidend zu sein, und das ist die Philosophie, die wir seit fast der ersten Ausgabe dieses Festivals verfolgen.
Wir verteidigen die Werke von kurzer Dauer, weil wir glauben, dass es möglich ist, den Einfallsreichtum zu entdecken, der sich auf einen kurzen Zeitraum konzentriert. Dieses Ziel ist der Grund, der uns bewegt und uns dazu antreibt, weiter nach den Vorschlägen zu suchen und zu stöbern, die uns erreichen, um eine Auswahl ganz unterschiedlicher Themen, Typologien und Genres zu treffen, um die Bandbreite der Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten der Kurzgeschichte aufzuzeigen.

Much like with the digital technology that has swept independent film festivals throughout the world since the early 2000s, for many reasons the virtual theater is quickly becoming the first, best choice for festivals, and the new home of Independent film screening worldwide.
The virtual theater is the future of film festivals, as more and more festivals are now screening films online, and even the big festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival are moving to online screenings.
Festivals are making the leap to cyber screenings because of many reasons, including that it allows for so much more exposure for the films. It is expected that just like the extinction of the 35mm projectors that were replaced with digital, one day in the not too distant future all film festivals will screen almost exclusively online, with only a few live presentations, if any.
Unlike most other Film Festivals, ours is different because it offers a unique method of viewing films in an online film festival that is totally secure and safe for a filmmaker’s project, and even those that provide online festivals cannot duplicate the safety and security that our virtual theater offers.
Very different from other festivals streaming films online, films in this festival cannot be downloaded, the films HAVE NO EMBEDDING CODE and our HTML code if copied and pasted, the films will not play, therefore they CANNOT be placed on other websites.
The only time and place they can be viewed is in our festival. In short, we have gone to great lengths to set this system up to protect the safety and security of each filmmaker’s film always keeping the filmmaker in mind. Basically, it is just as secure as a brick and mortar theater screening, only much better.
The virtual theater system and screening platform is completely secure and can be viewed from any computer, and mobile device.
The Cutting Edge Film Festival is opening the doors and tearing down the walls between independent films, and the audiences who love them so much, allowing the world to share in their power and passion.

Es ist gut zu klären, dass die Teilnehmer im Abschnitt „Videoclip“ ausdrücklich erklären müssen, dass sie berechtigt sind, an dem Wettbewerb durch die Urheberrechtsinhaber des Songs teilzunehmen.
Jeder Kurzfilm kann an mehr als einer Sektion teilnehmen und alle eingereichten Kurzfilme werden automatisch an der Auswahl für den „besten Film“ und „Neue Zeichen“ Preis teilnehmen.
Nur diejenigen, die für den „besten Film“ ausgewählt wurden, werden auch um den „öffentlichen Preis“ konkurrieren.

Cinema Verde ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation mit Sitz in Gainesville, Florida, mit dem Ziel, dem internationalen Publikum Umweltbildung aus unabhängigen Quellen durch Film-, Kunst- und Gemeinschaftsveranstaltungen anzubieten.

Wir werden unser vierzehntes jährliches Festival im Februar 2023 in Florida veranstalten. Das jährliche Filmfestival wird durch vierteljährliche Mini-Festivals ergänzt, die die Veröffentlichung neuer Filme auf unserer Streaming-Plattform vermarkten, sowie Satelliten-Screening-Veranstaltungen auf der ganzen Welt. Cinema Verde als neue Streaming-Plattform bietet uns kontinuierlichen Zugang zu einer Umweltfilm+Kunstdatenbank, die für unser Bewusstsein spricht und über 13 Jahre Filmfestivals von Cinema Verde gesammelt wurde.
Ausgezeichnete Filme werden für mindestens 1 Jahr in die Umweltfilmdatenbank aufgenommen, die für Mitglieder gegen eine Abonnementgebühr, an der Filmemacher an einem Auszahlungs-Pro-Stream-Modell teilnehmen, auf cinemaverde.org gestreamt werden können.
Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.

The Capricorn Film Festival is a not for profit organisation that discovers local, national and international cinema gems, and shares them with a diverse audience of film lovers.
