El Festival de Cortometrajes de Gijón surge
en 2015 como sección paralela dentro del
Certamen Nacional de Cortometrajes Aula 18
en El Entrego. Tras la desaparición del
emblemático festival tres de los programadores
deciden mantener su esencia trasladando
el festival a Gijón. Es en la segunda edición,
la de 2016, donde el festival se traslada a los
centros municipales de la ciudad para desarrollar un festival con la mirada puesta en el cortometraje y en la música. Desde entonces a las secciones competitivas (Sección Oficial, Sección Asturias) Y a las secciones de muestra (Panorama Asturias y Mirada FICX) se han
sucedido conciertos que han dado lustre a los
espacios culturales de la ciudad y que han
servido para poner el colofón a cada proyección.
Nombres como Marilia, Pablo Und Destruktion, Marem Ladson, Tigre y Diamante, David Feito… constatan el alto nivel musical que vive el festival y su mirada local y regional.
En 2020 se une Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura con una nueva pantalla dentro de CortoGijón amplificando así las colaboraciones entre todos los entes culturales de la región iniciadas en 2017 con la sección Mirada Ficx en colaboración con el Festival de Cine de Gijón.
Festival de cortos de Bucarest [BSFF]
Independent es la palabra clave para el Festival de Cortometrajes de Bucarest [BSFF], ya que está fundado por profesionales del cine independiente y se centra en artistas independientes del cine, de todo el mundo. El Festival de Cortometrajes de Bucarest tiene como objetivo reconocer, exhibir y difundir los cortometrajes internacionales más profesionales, innovadores e interesantes, sin dejar de priorizar los cortometrajes independientes.
El Festival de Cortometrajes de Bucarest exhibirá algunos de los mejores cortometrajes internacionales en narrativa, animación, estudiantil, experimental, documental, videoclip y derechos humanos. Nos tomamos muy en serio la cantidad de trabajo que se dedica a cada película. Por lo tanto, las reglas del festival garantizan que cada película sea revisada al menos dos veces y debatida por nuestro equipo. Algunas de las películas premiadas también se proyectarán en otros festivales internacionales de cine.
Los artistas independientes y sus cortometrajes se encontrarán con un público efervescente y bastante experimentado con el cine y los festivales de cine, garantizando una red de calidad y oportunidades atractivas, mientras que las películas seleccionadas serán determinadas por un panel de expertos de la industria.
El Festival de Cortometrajes de Bucarest está creando una fuerte comunidad de interés en torno a profesionales internacionales del cine independiente y amantes del cine, en el corazón de una de las capitales emergentes más interesantes del arte y la cultura, una ciudad que nunca duerme: Bucarest.
El festival organizará proyecciones de películas, precedidas o seguidas de preguntas y respuestas de artistas, o eventos paralelos de networking y, seguramente, fiestas, que tienen lugar en varios escenarios convencionales y no convencionales de Bucarest, como en cines, espacios abiertos e incluso teatros de verano. This section, called BUDAFAST is a contest, the "Easy Ticket" to the global market for young filmmakers, with no other limit of age and nationality but a fresh, immediate vision of the world & a new way to shoot it. El LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) es el primer escaparate de experimentación en medios basados en cine, video y audio de Los Ángeles. Se centra en el cine vanguardista, art-house, independiente y de bajo presupuesto, con la quinta edición que tendrá lugar en julio de 2020, en Los Ángeles.
Nuestro programa ofrece un lugar para que los cineastas reinventen y exploren nuevos enfoques, fomenten nuevas formas de arte mediático y construyan una audiencia para este tipo de trabajo. Nuestro objetivo es presentar una amplia gama de trabajos explorando las múltiples definiciones e interpretaciones del concepto de «underground».
Buscamos películas hechas con pasión, obsesión y motivación; películas que vayan más allá de las expectativas y el género; películas, proyectos de vídeo y audio que se esfuercen por superar los límites de la forma y el contenido aceptados. Un fuerte sentido de autoría es una necesidad.
LAUFF acepta todas las formas y géneros: desde drama, documental, experimental, culto, art-house, lengua extranjera, comedia, terror, ciencia ficción, fantasía, animación, LGBT, indígena, erótica hasta cine lento y videoarte...

Wollongong Film Festival offers established and emerging Filmmakers an opportunity to showcase their various talents by accepting all film genres as long as a woman is in one of the following key positions on the film: Director, Producer, Writer, Lead female Protagonist, Editor, or Cinematographer.
SFG (Serile Filmului Gay / Gay Film Nights), the only LGBTQ International Film Festival in Romania, reaches its 14th edition. The event will take place in Cluj-Napoca, between the 8th and 17th of May 2020. The entry to all the screenings is free for the public.
Every year, the festival invests a lot of effort into bringing together international cinematographic productions with an LGBT+ theme, while also creating the opportunity for some other related events to take place under the scope of the festival. Among those cultural events, we mention video production workshops, photography and painting exhibitions, environmental actions, flash mobs, “Living Library”-type of workshops, “Show & Tell” exhibitions, social events intended to attract strong media exposure, as well as debates, lectures, and dialogues about the situation of LGBTQ people in Romania, and last but not least, events focused on health related aspects, such as the HIV infection rate among the LGBT+ community in the country.
While most initiatives in Romania that focused their attention on LGBTQ+ issues during the past few years have shifted their approach towards a more hands-on type of involvement, seeking to reduce the levels of social stigma and discrimination by accentuating the necessity of supporting LGBT+ rights, The SFG International Film Festival follows a different approach. Starting from the premise that mainstream media is flooded by rather incorrect and misleading messages, contaminated by obvious prejudice and stereotypes, this festival is meant to act as an outlet of communication by means of culture and openness towards society. This ambitious aim can be achieved by exposure to appropriate media content and by sending out correct messages through each of the events that make up the “spinal cord” of the official festival program.
Over the course of the past decade, The SFG International Film Festival has been constantly growing. From humble beginnings with only a few films projected in a couple of consecutive evenings to a mature festival, lasting an entire week, with several film screenings taking place simultaneously in different locations and a diverse array of related events.
We are proud to announce that with each edition, we are able to deliver a selection of over 50 selected films, pertaining to three categories: short films, feature films and documentaries. Each of these films places an emphasis on various aspects of the lives of LGBT people. It has often been the case that the directors or producers of the films are present at the screenings as special guests, engaging in an interesting conversation with the public, sometimes starting from the intention of finding similarities between both the positive and the negative aspects of LGBT life in the film’s country of origin and in Romania.

TRANSILVANIA SHORTS [Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes] es una herramienta útil para que todos los cineastas puedan seguir exhibiendo sus películas y obtener la opinión y el reconocimiento del público que se merecen. Además, las películas seleccionadas en la competición del festival son promocionadas, proyectadas en el festival y evaluadas por un equipo de expertos del sector. Transilvania Shorts ayuda a los cineastas a conseguir el reconocimiento del público apasionado por el cine y los medios de comunicación y, además, a ser recompensados por su trabajo.

Transilvania Shorts, que se celebra en hermosas ciudades medievales como Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Brașov y Târgu Mureș, trae cortometrajes de todo el mundo a la hermosa Transilvania. AnimArte es un festival internacional de películas animadas hechas por niños y jóvenes, y hechas para niños y jóvenes.

La duración máxima de cada película es de 15 minutos.
¡En 2025 se celebrará la 18ª edición de AnimArte y el festival tendrá lugar en noviembre!
Para los estudiantes internacionales (estudiantes de todo el mundo), hay dos categorías competitivas (solo para cortometrajes de animación): Maxi (18 años o más) y Mini (menores de 18 años).
Para los profesionales internacionales hay dos categorías: «Películas sobre el medio ambiente» y «Culturas del mundo».
Las animaciones seleccionadas se proyectarán siguiendo el programa preparado por la junta organizadora del Festival.
Si la película tiene diálogos en un idioma distinto del portugués, será necesario enviar un archivo de texto con los diálogos de la película en inglés (si es posible, con el código horario) al correo electrónico: animarte@vouanimarte.com.br.
Se acepta una versión de la película con subtítulos en inglés para facilitar el trabajo de traducción y subtitulación al portugués, pero la versión que se proyectará en el festival debe presentarse sin subtítulos.
También hay 2 categorías exclusivas (solo para cortometrajes de animación) solo para estudiantes matriculados en instituciones educativas de Brasil: Maxi (estudiantes universitarios) y Mini (estudiantes de secundaria y estudiantes de educación primaria).
Epic ACG fest is a unique event showcase animation, comics and games. Though screening, exhibition and competition, bring together the creative elements, the artists and the general public from worldwide.
During the festival, EACG is also hosting the Live Demonstrations, Networking Receptions, Master Workshops, Panel Discussions, Business Symposiums, Recruiting and the Professional Exhibits offered throughout the event as well as the One-On-One Personal Consultations with creative professionals from top studios and educational institutions both local and international. Blacklight Film + Video Series is currently seeking submissions for the upcoming Trouble Found Me film screening on October 16th, 2016 at Sediment Arts in Richmond, VA.
We are seeking narrative short films that touch on subjects of broken innocence //shattering of the adolescent bubble. Bad Dreams. Bad Ideas. Poor Execution. Themes of the paranormal welcome, given the season!
Submissions must be under 15 minutes in length and all genres are accepted. Work can be traditional or experimental and can be created in any film/video medium (VHS, Super 8, DSLR, etc.). Multiple submissions are accepted.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: October 9th, 2016
We ask that applicants include in their submissions:
-title of the piece
-run time
-year the work was completed
-a data DVD or online link to view the piece (preferred)

Brasília Animation Festival is the firts International Film Festival in Brasília, exclusevily for animation movies. The short films selected will be displayed between 04 and October 06, 2019. There will be a special session, named "Bloody Session", dedicated exclusively to marginal, experimental movies, fantastic, surreal and even scatological.
El Festival internacional de cortometrajes La mida no importa tiene la finalidad de difundir la cultura cinematográfica.
A veces se nos advierte que si “el tamaño no importa” tendríamos que seleccionar y mostrar obras audiovisuales sin límite de duración, y quizás no se los falta razón. A nosotros, pero, nos gusta pensar que las cosas no tienen que ser demasiado grandes para ser importantes, bonitas, necesarias o decisivas y esta es la filosofía que vayamos aplicando desde casi la primera edición de este Festival.
Reivindicamos las obras de corta duración porque creemos que se puede descubrir el ingenio concentrado en un corto espacio temporal. Este objetivo es el motivo que nos mueve y nos impulsa a continuar buscando y hurgando en las propuestas que nos llegan para hacer una selección de temática, tipología y género bastante diferente para mostrar el abanico de posibilidades expresivas del relato corto.
