The Boston Science Fiction Film Festival is an 11-day cinematic event held at the historic Somerville Theatre from February 9th to the 19th. The 2018 edition marks our 43rd anniversary as the oldest science fiction film festival.
The first nine days is a traditional film festival. Films submitted and curated from around the world are screened, whether they be features, shorts, or webisodes. Plus we have workshops, parties or anything else that seems appropriate. Here at BostonSciFi we emphasize emerging directors with distinct visions.
The Festival concludes with The Marathon, a.k.a., “The ‘Thon”, a 24-hour orgiastic motion picture endurance test featuring classic, new and schlock films. Think of it as binge viewing with 750 close friends. It starts at noon on the 18th and ends at noon on President’s Day.
Boston SciFi is the oldest genre fest in the country and one of the oldest in the world. Being in Boston has many advantages, it is a world class city. Boston is one of the world’s best college towns (hello Harvard, MIT, BU, BC, Tufts and more). As such, BostonSciFi endeavors to reflect all of that in the festival. Then toss in, we are housed in the classic 1914 Somerville Theatre in the almost too hip Davis Square, and you can see why FilmFreeway touted us as one of the Top 100 Film Festivals.

Die Asociación Cultural sad Hill veranstaltet im Rahmen des Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes (Burgos) den Kurzfilmwettbewerb SECTION WESTERN (VII Edition — 2024).
Die SECCIÓN WESTERN ist weiterhin eine parallele Sektion des Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes, obwohl die Vorführungen der ausgewählten Kurzfilme und die Preisverleihung außerhalb der offiziellen Termine des Certamen de cine corto de Salas de los Infantes stattfinden werden.
Diese Entscheidung wurde mit der Absicht getroffen, die Zeit, die wir aufgrund der Merkmale des Genres, das es behandelt, für die Ausstellung der teilnehmenden Projekte für notwendig halten, widmen zu können.
Die Idee dieses Abschnitts ist es, dem Western im Allgemeinen zu huldigen und ein Genre vorzustellen, das bis heute lebendig ist.

Spello ist ein wunderbares altes mittelalterliches Dorf mit erstaunlicher Geschichte, Kunst, Tradition, Natur, Essen und Wein in der wunderschönen italienischen Region Umbrien.
Spello liegt im Zentrum des italienischen Gebietes zwischen Florenz, Perugia und Rom.
... ein Film ist zu Ende und alle stehen auf, um den Vorführraum zu verlassen, aber der Filmabspann wird immer noch gezeigt, und dabei wird die enorme Arbeit der Profis übersehen, die mit Leidenschaft und Professionalität zur Entstehung des Films beigetragen haben. Wie viel harte Arbeit und Opferbereitschaft waren damit verbunden? Wer sind diese Leute hinter den Kulissen?
Aus diesem Grund wurde 2012 das „Festival del Cinema Città di Spello ed I Borghi Umbri“ — „RASSEGNA CONCORSO LE PROFESSIONI DEL CINEMA“ gegründet, das den Profis hinter den Kulissen des Kinos gewidmet ist:

Unsere Shorts Ihre Shorts Screening Session ist ein Mini-Kurzfilmfestival, das als Pop-up, in Zusammenarbeit mit Screening-Partnern auf der ganzen Welt. Jedes Jahr Unsere Shorts Ihre Shorts Programme 12 Screening-Sitzungen von Kurzfilmen, die in Veranstaltungsorten von Varsity Auditorium bis Kinosäle gezeigt werden.

Das Porto Femme - International Film Festival ist ein Ort für die Ausstellung und Verbreitung vielfältiger künstlerischer Visionen. Eine konkrete Aktion im Kampf für gleiche Repräsentation, die sich auf neue Identitätsrepräsentationen konzentriert, die darauf abzielen, Stereotypen zu dekonstruieren und Unsichtbarkeiten auszulöschen. From February 21-24, 2019, the international documentary industry will once again gather in Eindhoven for the 6th edition of DOCfeed. With a program of the finest selection of films, and a friendly audience, with workshops for and by documentary professionals.
DOCfeed is one of the newest celebration of the documentary genre in the world. We hope to see you all here! We offer the option to submit and review your documentary online.
One of the things that makes our festival unique is that we do the screenings in pop-up cinema’s, mainly in old Philipps buildings (as Eindhoven is the hometown of Philipps) and museums. The entry for documentaries will be open from July. We accept only Documentaries. We hope to sustain and promote filmmakers, especially independent filmmakers around the world, to continue their creativity and produce their artworks; to inspire all filmmakers to never stop chasing their dreams in creating excellent movies, and to participate in the film industry.
Newcomers are welcomed. The films will be pre-selected before presented to a judge panel.

Film For All festival is an international & independent film competition. FFA fest sees film as an art that has the power to bridge cultures, individual’s unspoken language and light up the collusion of the human involvement. Das „Screen Short Fest 2024" ist ein internationales Kurzfilmfestival, das in seinem sechsten Jahr stattfindet. Das Festival ist die Idee von Herrn Soham Banerjee, einem preisgekrönten Kurzfilmregisseur und Unternehmer.

The purpose of this film festival is to promote new movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas & culture between India & other nations in context of their social and cultural ethos. JIFF also promotes friendship and co-operation among people of the world through the medium of films & documentaries.
Though the film festivals have became a regular affair in most countries yet most of them cater only to selected audience as well as entertain the commercially successful film makers and related personalities. However, LIFF intends to organize a festival that connects the film fans & movie goers with the world, especially the serious filmmakers & their associates so as to bring about greater understanding of the art of film making.
In October every year the Jaipur International Film Festival, Jaipur International Film Festival Trust and Film Library (we are bringing World's Largest & Secure Film Library soon) by Jaipur International Film Festival and Trust will organize Library International Film Festival in Jaipur at Golcha Cinema based on the top films/entries of the year in each category like Feature Fiction, Documentary Feature, Animation Feature, Short Fiction, Short Documentary, Short Animation, Ad Film, Song and Poster. Audience will choose the top ten films/posters/songs (not screenplays) by voting, out of all screened films/songs & selected posters in this festival. The top film will be awarded with the cash prize of INR 1.oo lac and certificate and memento. The other top nine films will be awarded certificates and mementos.
