O Festival de Finos Filmes é uma mostra de curtas-metragens, que, em 2025, chega à décima segunda edição. O evento nasce como uma vitrine da nova geração de cineastas.
Mais do que um festival de filmes, o evento é principalmente um ciclo de debates, que usa as obras como ponto de partida para discussões sobre política, sociologia, identidade, urbanismo - tudo sublinhado, claro, pelo cinema. Todo o dinheiro arrecadado pelo festival é doado para instituições sociais.

O Festival é organizado pela Associação CinemArt de Pineda de Mar, é um festival internacional com o objetivo de promover um espaço específico para a descoberta, exibição e divulgação de curtas-metragens.
O principal eixo temático do festival é o da comédia; no entanto, o tema e o gênero das produções são gratuitos. Qualidade e originalidade serão priorizadas como objetivo principal e que a produção seja inédita.
O AVANCA Film Festival foi premiado com o primeiro lugar no concurso de 2011 dos festivais de cinema de apoio patrocinados pelo ICA/Ministério da Cultura.
Uma programação temática adicional aconteceu ao longo de todos esses anos, dando espaço à exibição de obras significativas do cinema contemporâneo adequadamente enquadradas em preocupações e/ou objetivos bem definidos.
O AVANCA é conhecido como um espaço para workshops liderados por personalidades do cinema mundial e, sendo mais do que uma “master class”, permitiu uma prática cinematográfica única. Todos os anos temos workshops, reunindo participantes de toda a Europa. A mídia escreveu que esta é a maior área européia de workshops profissionais no campo do cinema.
AVANCA é o único festival que reúne uma Competição Internacional de Cinema, obras da área de televisão, vídeo e novos suportes de multimídia, com a preocupação especial de exibir as melhores produções mundiais feitas em cada categoria.
Desde a primeira edição, o festival só aceita filmes inéditos em Portugal.
A competição World Premiere é única em nosso país e só foi possível porque Avanca se tornou um ponto de passagem de autores inéditos e filmes de grande qualidade. Filmes que têm sua estreia mundial no festival, independentemente da categoria inscrita, também estão participando da Competição de Estreia Mundial.
AVANCA é o festival português com a maior porcentagem de filmes inéditos em todo o mundo que encontram aqui sua primeira exibição.
Desde 2010, organizamos a conferência internacional de cinema AVANCA | CINEMA, tornando-se a conferência mais importante no campo do cinema na Península Ibérica. Esta conferência reúne palestrantes e participantes de todo o mundo.
Exposições temáticas, edições de livros, apresentações bibliográficas e vários projetos marcaram esses últimos 10 anos de AVANCA com a qualidade que obriga o festival e os participantes obviamente exigem.
O Festival Creando é um festival audiovisual interuniversitário em que estudantes de qualquer escola, diploma universitário ou outro ensino superior podem participar.

We screen the best documentaries from around the world at the Roxie Cinema, the oldest art house theater west of the Mississippi. Many of our titles end up with calendared runs at the Roxie later in the year. We get great press coverage in San Francisco, the second largest film market in the country, plus industry reviews.

This year's EMMY AWARDS, had a sparkling amount of DWF alums, from presenting to sitting in the audience, including 2011 & 2012 alum, Gina Rodriguez presenting on stage to 2006 alum Alexander Skarsgard winning Best Supporting Actor to 2007 & 2012 alum Joel Watson, nominated for editing SHARK TANK. DWF has had many filmmakers go on to create series, such as the highly rated THE LAST SHIP, created by 2000 alum, Steven Kane. HBO’s critically acclaimed and hit series ‘Getting On” and “Big Love” were created by DWF Alums Will Scheffer and Mark Olsen after screening their feature film "Easter" at DWF 2004. Our TV/Web division, premiered TREADING YESTERDAY in 2016, which in now in development for a series. Jeremy Cloe, 2015 alum & ICA winner, recently won a student ACADEMY AWARD.
2008 actor alum Jesse Eisenberg was nominated for Best Actor in "The Social Network" for the 2011 Academy Awards. 2010 Audience Award winner "Go For It!" received a nationwide theatrical release through Lionsgate in 2011. Betsy Brandt "Breaking Bad'' & “Parenthood” was seen early on in her career in the Grand Jury Winner of 2005, "Shelf Life." 2 Minute Short Film Challenge
And on the creative side, DWF also produces up to ten short films during the week of the festival. The 2 Minute Short Film Challenge has become an exciting favorite program at the festival. Utilizing the latest digital technology and pure filmmaking ingenuity, submitted scripts are shot, edited and screened in front of evening competition films during the festival.
Academy® Qualification:
We also qualify a slate of shorts for Academy Award® consideration through our friends at Laemmle Theatres and Double Exposure in Los Angeles. Short films that premiere with us actually have a higher possibility of being Academy® qualified than most any other short film competition in the country.

Film For All festival is an international & independent film competition. FFA fest sees film as an art that has the power to bridge cultures, individual’s unspoken language and light up the collusion of the human involvement. This festival seeks to enhance, to educate, and to create interest the planet through the medium of film. Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
O BOSIFEST é o Festival Internacional de Documentários para e por pessoas com deficiência, o único desse tipo no sudeste da Europa, que será organizado este ano pela décima sétima vez na Sérvia pelo Hendi Center Koloseum. Como nos últimos dezesseis anos, este ano, na tela grande, um grande número de filmes serão exibidos em partes competitivas e não competitivas. Até agora, os visitantes do BOSIFEST tiveram a oportunidade de assistir 950 filmes que tinham como tema a vida das pessoas com deficiência ou foram criados por autores com deficiência.

O objetivo do festival se refere à conscientização dos filtros externos na tela, incluindo a censura (comercial, ideológica, estética), e dos filtros internos de percepção e projeção da tela, incluindo a autocensura. NEFILTRAVANAE KINO é uma exploração da estetização e mercantilização na arte. O próximo objetivo do festival é expor a complexidade, a multiplicidade e a variedade do cinema.
NEFILTRAVANAE KINO é um festival de cinema realizado pelo Short Movie Club, a plataforma para projetos cinematográficos. NEFILTRAVANAE KINO é um festival qualificado para o Prêmio ADAMI Media. A Conferência Internacional de Estudos Cinematográficos é realizada ao mesmo tempo que o festival de cinema. Dessa forma, a teoria e a prática do cinema são integradas no NEFILTRAVANAE KINO.
Originalmente, o festival foi realizado na Bielorrússia, mas devido à repressão política e à postura anti-guerra declarada publicamente, exibições e eventos podem ser realizados em diferentes países. Primeiro de tudo na Lituânia (Vilnius). Por exemplo, o 10º Nefiltravanae Kino aconteceu em Berlim, Vilnius e Helsinque no ano passado. PROBLEMA DE ALIENAÇÃO
Vivemos em um mundo de shoppings e multiplexes de cinema. Vemos que o cinema independente e a arte não mercantil vão para a periferia da atenção pública. Atrações primitivas substituem a cinematografia. O público do escape está alienado por trás da tela grande. Portanto, o cinema convencional moderno é parte de uma ferramenta de manipulação que leva à sociedade da alienação. Assim, a tendência é que o cinema independente se torne mais ilegível para o grande público. Devemos entender o contexto do cineasta para entender o cinema independente. É por isso que o conceito NEFILTRAVANAE KINO implica a presença física dos cineastas.
PROBLEMA DE SELEÇÃO DE FILMES
Os cineastas gravam milhões de filmes. E milhares de festivais de curtas-metragens organizam exibições em todo o mundo todos os anos. Em média, vários milhares de filmes são submetidos a um festival de cinema. Portanto, vários bons filmes podem ser negligenciados por qualquer motivo. Muitas vezes, selecionar a probabilidade é como ganhar na loteria. Como resultado, os cineastas ficam sem feedback. É um paradoxo que ninguém possa te ouvir na era da Internet! A cultura dominante prefere atrações e visitas casuais.
Além disso, essa ideia é baseada no problema de seleção de filmes. Talvez não seja surpresa que uma pessoa, ou seja, o diretor do programa, na melhor das hipóteses, ou até mesmo estudantes de escolas de cinema tomem a decisão preliminar de selecionar um filme. A concordância de juízes ou pré-visualizadores é mais rara do que a diferença de formação e gostos. Portanto, a seleção ou o julgamento podem ser unilaterais ou superficiais. Não é ruim, pois o diretor do programa tem bom gosto e sensibilidade estética, é claro. Mas descobrimos outra concepção de “cinema não filtrado”. Nós o comparamos com o método “o melhor dos melhores”. Dessa forma, ajuda a perceber o idioma cinematográfico sem o ditame dos curadores de arte.
CELEBRAÇÃO DO CINEMA INDEPENDENTE
Portanto, o Unfiltered Cinema Film Festival tenta evitar “o melhor dos melhores”, mas não o ignora completamente, com certeza. O festival seleciona seções de ficção, animação, documentário, experimental e realidade virtual. Um júri premia o melhor filme em cada seção. O festival realiza as exibições em cinemas, no Centro Nacional de Artes Contemporâneas e em espaços de arte.
Nosso objetivo é reunir pessoas na arte, dialogar e ser felizes com a comunicação inteligente. Cinema é arte, mas não esporte. O ponto chave do nosso projeto é estabelecer a comunicação entre o cineasta e o público.

Cortoons Gandia é o Festival Internacional de Cinema de Animação de Gandia, organizado pelo Cortoons Festival, pela cidade de Gandia, la Generalitat Valenciana, por meio do Institut Valenciá de Cultura (Culturarts), e pela participação da Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) Campus de Gandia.
Em 2016, após 12 anos de grande sucesso em Roma, festival internacional de filmes de animação Cortoons, ele se mudou para a Espanha na bela cidade de Gandia, na província de Valência.
A edição do 21º Cortoons Festival Gandia será um ótimo festival de filmes de animação para profissionais, fãs de filmes de animação e todo o público em geral.
