The central theme of this edition is "Territories, showing resistance".
This theme seeks to generate debate and thought about the processes of resistance that are taking place in Colombia regarding the care and dignification of the territories. We start from the relationship of body and territory, and we claim that in that exercise of counting our territories (those we inhabit and those that forced us to leave) and the struggles that are in them, we are revealing resistances.
Das Most Festival ist eine jährliche Veranstaltung, die darauf abzielt, die besten internationalen audiovisuellen Arbeiten rund um Weinbau, Wein und Cava zu präsentieren. Gleichzeitig möchte das Festival durch die Projektion unveröffentlichter Filme großer Autoren auf gutes Kino hinweisen.
Das Festival findet im Penedès statt, einem Gebiet in der Nähe von Barcelona (Spanien) mit einer langen Weinbautradition und mehreren touristischen Attraktionen, und möchte den Weinbau und die Kunst im Zusammenhang mit Wein und Cava durch audiovisuelle Werke fördern und auch alle Aspekte der Weinherstellung untersuchen, insbesondere Werte wie Qualität, Vielfalt, Weintourismus und Verbundenheit mit der Region.
An indigene und nicht-indigene audiovisuelle Filmemacher verschiedener Nationalitäten und Territorien, um ihre Arbeiten zu indigenen und/oder afroamerikanischen Themen, freiem Stil und Erweiterung, individuellem oder kollektivem Schaffen, für die 8. Ausgabe des FicWallMapu Festivals einzureichen, das vom 14. bis 18. November 2023 in der Stadt Temuko, Ngülumapu und den umliegenden Gemeinden des Mapuche-Territoriums in der Region Araucanía stattfindet.

Das Palena Film Festival ist ein viertägiger Wettbewerb, der vom 10. bis 12. August 2023 in Palena (CH), Italien, stattfindet.
Die Preisverleihung findet am 12. August 2023 (21:00 Uhr Ortszeit) im Aventino-Theater „Ettore Maria Margadonna“ in Palena statt.
Das Palena Film Festival (früher seit seiner Gründung vor neun Jahren als „Premio Cinematografico Palena“ bekannt als „Premio Cinematografico Palena“) wurde 2008 von der Kulturvereinigung von Palena (Associazione Culturale Palenese) gegründet und gilt als eines der wichtigsten Kurzfilmfestivals der Welt. Es hat über 10.500 Kurzfilme erhalten Filme, Animationen und Musikvideos aus mehr als 125 Ländern aller 5 Kontinente im Laufe der Jahre in den letzten neun Ausgaben.
Das Palena Film Festival steht allen Regisseuren und/oder Drehbuchautoren sowie ihren eigenen, kürzlich gedrehten Produktionen aller Stilrichtungen und Themen offen.
Jeder Regisseur kann Kurzfilme, Animationen oder Musikvideos einreichen (Teilnahmegebühr für jedes Projekt).
Die Laufzeit der Filme darf 40 Minuten nicht überschreiten (inklusive Vor- und Abspann).
Die Frist für die Einreichung von Beiträgen ist der 30. Juni 2023 (23:59 Uhr Ortszeit).
Die Aufnahmegebühr ist für jedes Projekt auf 20,00€ (EUR) festgesetzt.

Das Grand Rapids Feminist Film Festival (GRFFF) widmet sich der Aufhebung von Stimmen und der Präsentation von Talenten aus historisch unterrepräsentierten Gruppen in den Mainstream-Medien.

fördert. In seinem sechsten Jahr war der GRFFF ursprünglich die Idee des unabhängigen Verlags The Bandit Zine als Filmversion ihres Magazins. Was als kleine Abendvitrine begann, hat sich mittlerweile zu einem ganztägigen Festival entwickelt, das interaktive Workshops und Panels, Performances lokaler Künstler und Filme aus aller Welt umfasst.
Dieses Jahr findet das Festival im Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids statt. Wir werden Referenten, eine Drag Show und mehr als 30 Kurzfilme beherbergen.
Wir freuen uns, dass das Fest in diesem Jahr noch mehr wächst und freuen uns, Teil der sich ständig weiterentwickelnden feministischen Grand Rapids Community zu sein.

ZINEBI
INTERNATIONALES FESTIVAL FÜR DOKUMENTAR- UND KURZFILM VON BILBAO
Es wurde im Jahr 1.959 ins Leben gerufen und von der Kulturabteilung des Rathauses von Bilbao organisiert. Das ZINEBI wird vom 8. bis 15. November 2024 seine 66. Ausgabe feiern.
Es ist das einzige internationale Klasse-A-Festival in Spanien in der Kategorie Dokumentar- und Kurzfilm, das seit 1974 von der FIAPF anerkannt wurde. Es wurde von der Hollywood Academy als Qualifikant für die Oscars unter den Kurzfilmen der offiziellen Preisverleihung und als Qualifikant von der Spanish Academy für die BAFTA Awards und die GOYA Awards anerkannt.
ZINEBI ist ein Festival, das die aktuellsten Formen und Formate anbietet, innovativ und suggestiv, und das immer wieder auf aufstrebende Autoren setzt. Das Programm des internationalen Programms (Dokumentarfilm, Animation und Fiktion) und die Sektion ZIFF-ZINEBI FIRST FILM, die Erstlingswerken gewidmet ist, sind ihr eigentliches Unterscheidungsmerkmal. Bemerkenswert sind auch Honour Mikeldis, die die prestigeträchtige Karriere herausragender internationaler Regisseure und die strenge Auswahl der Sektionen BEAUTIFUL DOCS, die den wichtigsten zeitgenössischen Filmen gewidmet sind, und BERTOKO BEGIRADAK, einer Sektion, die baskischen Dokumentarfilmen aus einer aktuellen Produktion gewidmet ist, würdigen. Außerdem findet hier jedes Jahr ein professionelles Treffen mit dem Titel ZINEBI INDUSTRY — NETWORKING statt, das der Förderung der audiovisuellen Industrie im Baskenland gewidmet ist.
Das Internationale Kurzfilmfestival von Cali soll mit der Eröffnung seiner Ausschreibung ein Ort für die Ausstellung von professionellen und universitären Kurzfilmen aus der Stadt Cali und der Welt sein, um als Treffpunkt zwischen den neuen Filmemachern und den Fachleuten des Kurzfilms zu dienen.
Das XVII. Internationale Kurzfilmfestival von Cali findet vom 23. bis 27. September 2025 in der kolumbianischen Stadt Santiago de Cali statt.
Die Ausschreibung für die Wettbewerbskategorien des Festivals läuft ab dem 20. März 2025 und wir schließen die Anmeldefrist am 31. Mai 2025 um Mitternacht kolumbianischer Ortszeit (UTC-5).

Das jährliche Eko International Film Festival (EKOIFF) ist ein internationales Filmfestival in der Küstenmetropole Lagos im Südwesten Nigerias.

Unser Filmfestival findet in seiner 15. Ausgabe vom 21. bis 26. April 2025 statt
Cinema Workshop Project, Magic Eye Audiovisual Production Company und Wild Wood Corporation laden Künstler, bildende Künstler, Filmemacher, Profis, Studenten und Amateure ein, ihre Arbeiten in Intermediations, einer Ausstellung für Videokunst und experimentelles Video, zu präsentieren.
Der Showcase findet in der Stadt Medellin, Kolumbien, statt. Es handelt sich um eine nicht wettbewerbsorientierte Veranstaltung, die darauf abzielt, verschiedene Praktiken im Zusammenhang mit audiovisuellen Werken, insbesondere künstlerischem und experimentellem Video, zu fördern und bekannt zu machen.
Die Beiträge werden in drei Kategorien ausgestellt: lokale, nationale und internationale Ausstellungen.

As an international film festival, World Lens focuses on foreign Indie filmmakers that are producing films that are pieces of their culture and set in economic, social, environmental, and political spheres. It is the commitment of the Long Island Film Festival to bring these films to America and present these perspectives to Long Islanders to enlighten and enhance their understanding of the world around us.

Women in Film
Women play an important role in filmmaking and there are many talents out there and to celebrate Women in Film we have two categories. One programme is a focus solely on Women directors, the second programme category will focus the work of women practitioners in the roles of writers, actresses, producers and Directors of Cinematography but please note the film lead roles must be female led. If you have a film that has a strong female led role or strong female writer etc and you want to be considered for this sectin of the festival please submit to the Women Practitioners category. Film Directors should submit to the Women in Film (directors category).
General Information.
Established in 1995 the festival is now in it's 16th International Shorts edition. Kinofilm has a unique reputation for showcasing the best short films from around the world, whilst being renowned for seeking out diverse, challenging and groundbreaking new films. We welcome filmmakers that are pushing the boundaries of the short film art form. The festival maintains a high standard with many European & International award-winning shorts featured in the Festival. It includes special programmes in North West Shorts (UK), British New Wave, Euro Cine, International Panorama, Kino Exposed (student and youth shorts), low/no budget shorts, Animation and various themed programmes, giving new and emerging filmmakers the opportunity to have their work screened alongside that of critically acclaimed, established short filmmakers.
Please note for 2019, the festival will move dates to February 2020. We will further welcome short films and animations from Eastern Europe as we extend the Polish festival to include more Baltic countries. This year we welcome films for this section from Romania and Russia.
As part of out 16th anniversary we are introducing a features section called Transitions for those short filmmakers that have successfully made the transition from short film to feature. This section is for previous entrants of Kinofilm Festival and can only be entered if you have previously had a short film at Kinofilm Festival. You must provide the name of the short film and year of the festival it was screened in advance of submitting..
All short films should have been completed since January 2018 to present and be no longer than 20 mins (accept documentaries which can be up to 23 mins including credits). PLEASE NOTE FILMS SHOULD NOT BE ONLINE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ANY FILMS THAT ARE SEEN TO BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN WILL FACE DISQUALIFICATION.
WE ARE OFFERING STUDENTS (world wide) , GREATER MANCHESTER FILMMAKERS, Youths and community groups, Eastern European Filmmakers and Alumni Filmmakers 20% OF ALL SUBMISSION FEES (please see offers at the top of this entry). Please note, if your film is selected for screening in one of the cinema screenings you must be able to provide either a DCP or high-quality Bluray of your film. Please contact us if any issues with this and we will try to resolve it by showing the film in one of the other programmes not requiring either of these formats. If it playing in one of our other venues then we will require a digital version, details supplied if your film is accepted.
REFUNDS GIVEN ONLY IN THE FOLLOWING CIRCUMSTANCES: Please note if you make a genuine mistake and submit your film to us not realising that it does not fit all of the criteria, or you have to withdraw it for other reasons, we will refund your fee if the request is made only within the first two weeks from the date of submission. Films withdrawn later for other reasons such as you wish to withdraw it as your film has been accepted in another festival that requires premier status, will not receive a refund. (Please note that any refunds will be after FFW (8%) and PP (3.5%) commission fees already deducted from your fee, you will only be refunded the net amount that the festival receives).

4. To attract cinema goers and diverse audiences that would not normally experience the short film art form or film festivals.

The eighth edition of Ventana Oscura, will take place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 October 2016 at the Forum of FNAC Callao within the events of the Madrid Gothic Week VIII. During the event the selected works will be screened, and this event, only a sample and in no case a competitive contest.
Semillero Green Film Fest 2020 es la 10º edición del Concurso Nacional de Cortometrajes de Temática Ambiental. Su objetivo principal es fomentar la creatividad y apoyar la realización nacional independiente de obras audiovisuales cuyo contenido esté referido a la temática ambiental.
El concurso posee dos categorías de participación:

Se podrán presentar también las escuelas primarias de todo el país, tanto de gestión pública como privada.
Tokyo Sun Film festival attemtps to setting up in Tokyo to provide independent filmmakers with a platform that offers them interaction, networking and greater visibility.
Our screening takes place at the cinema chupki theatre in the tabata District, located in the north of Tokyo - a hip location in Tokyo for independent, counter-culture and progressive thinking.
Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. Experimental Forum exists to provide access to, and develop audiences for, artists’ moving image work and is committed to engaging local audiences with new and/or unheard voices in film.
We are particularly interested in works made by early stage filmmakers and artists whose work is underrepresented. We provide a collaborative platform for moving image works made for the gallery and for the cinema with the aim of building a community across disciplinary and institutional faultlines.
Inconvenient Films is an international competitive human rights documentary film festival, taking place in various cities and towns accross Lithuania. Established in 2007 as an annual film event, it is currently the biggest documentary film festival in the country and the only film festival of this kind in the Baltic States region. The festival invites filmmakers, experts, activists and festival audience to appreciate and discuss the role of documentaries in reflecting and shaping our understanding of reality. The mission of this festival is to use award winning author driven films in raising awareness about human rights issues around the world, encouraging public debate on ways to address them.
Festival’s International Competition is dedicated to the films by new filmmakers – their first or second feature documentary. Films are selected considering artistic value, filmmaking skills and revelation of a relevant human rights topic. The Best Film is selected and awarded by international jury.
IndieCork ist Irlands Premiere Festival des internationalen unabhängigen Films, insbesondere der Kurzfilme; wir zeigen jedoch alle Genres - darunter Features, Dokumentarfilme, Mixed Media und Cross-Platform. Wir begrüßen Drama, Erzählung, Animation, Experimentelle, Musik/Tanz/Poesiefilm und alles dazwischen!
Wir unterstützen aufstrebende, unabhängige Filme und sind Irlands größtes Festival für Shorts. Viva! Latino Film Festival NYC Int'l is starting the process for 2017. The festival is the newest Latino international film festival in NYC. We will showcase emerging and established filmmakers from the U.S., Mexico and Latin America. We have industry representatives such as network executives, distributors, etc., on industry panels, workshops, and plenty more. Viva! Seit 2009 ist das Puerto Rico Queer Filmfest das erste und größte LGBTQ-Themenfestival (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) in der Karibik. Wir suchen Filme aus der ganzen Welt, die bei der zwölften Ausgabe des Festivals im Mai 2024 gezeigt werden, sowie nach Sondervorführungen.
LA Underground Film Forum (LAUFF) ist Los Angeles führendes Schaufenster für Experimente in Film-, Video- und Audiomedien. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf Avantgarde, Art-House, unabhängiges und preisgünstiges Filmemachen. Die fünfte Ausgabe findet im Juli 2020 in Los Angeles statt.
Unser Programm bietet Filmemachern einen Ort, um neue Ansätze neu zu erfinden und zu erforschen, neue Formen der Medienkunst zu fördern und ein Publikum für solche Arbeiten aufzubauen. Unser Ziel ist es, eine breite Palette von Arbeiten zu präsentieren, die die vielen Definitionen und Interpretationen des Begriffs „Underground“ erforschen.
Wir suchen Filme, die mit Leidenschaft, Besessenheit und Antrieb gemacht werden; Filme, die über Erwartungen und Genre hinausgehen; Filme, Video- und Audioprojekte, die versuchen, die Grenzen akzeptierter Form und Inhalte zu überschreiten. Ein starkes Gefühl der Autorschaft ist ein Muss.
LAUFF akzeptiert alle Formen und Genres: von Drama, Dokumentarfilm, Experimental, Kult, Art-House, Fremdsprache, Komödie, Horror, Sci-Fiction, Fantasy, Animation, LGBT, indigene, Erotik bis hin zu langsamen Kino- und Videokunst...
