The Tioga Film Festival will be held at the Tioga Movie Theater August 5th, 2017 in Tioga, North Dakota. Deadline submission is July 25th, 2017. All filmmakers from the USA are eligible to participate and there are no limits to submissions. Each submission is required a submission form and fee.
The Film Festival is part of a weekend event in Tioga. Which includes sidewalk sales, A drone camp and more. Selected and winning films will be shown at the Tioga Movie Theater from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm. Winners will be announced and notified no later than August 1st, 2017. Jiffy Louvre II: Deixe a preocupação para trás (novamente)
Após um hiato de dois anos, o Short Shorts Festival na Whitespace Gallery em Atlanta GA retorna para sua sétima iteração e o segundo julgado pelo artista de Atlanta e diretor da Welch School of Art & Design Joe Peragine. O título, originalmente usado em Short Shorts 2019, é um mash-up de alta (o Louvre, o museu dos museus) e baixo (Jiffy Lube, fornecedores do trabalho de lubrificante drive- through cujo slogan é “deixar preocupação para trás”). O título encapsula o amplo objetivo estético deste festival. Qualquer orçamento, qualquer gênero, qualquer história é bem-vinda, desde que nos dê uma breve pausa desses momentos estragados em que vivemos. Estamos abertos a trabalhos fora do ritmo, não narrativo e experimental.
O festival de curtas curtas terá uma exibição ao vivo ao ar livre na Whitespace Gallery, em Atlanta, no sábado, 17 de setembro de 2022. O espaço em branco é uma das principais galerias de arte contemporânea em Atlanta e em todo o sudeste, promovendo um ambiente imersivo de livre expressão, intimidade e diálogo. Experimental Forum is an international performance, film and video art festival showcasing experimental film and artists’ moving image from new directors and innovative video artists from around the globe, with the third edition taking place in Los Angeles in November 2018. Our aim is to provide a supportive platform for the exciting and challenging work that is outside the scope of mainstream film festivals and art galleries.
We welcome experimental cinema pieces (abstract, narrative or documentary), video art works, essay films, artists’ moving image and media art, as well as documentary and narrative films that seek to expand, redefine or reconfigure the means and ends of their respective fields. O Festival Internacional de Documentários de Santiago (FIDOCS) é o principal evento de transmissão, difusão e competição de cinema documental no Chile e na América Latina.

Em seu programa, o FIDOCS incorpora os trabalhos de diretores experientes e emergentes para abordar a questão do “O REAL” e, ao fazer isso, considera as várias dimensões, fronteiras disciplinares e tensões da pergunta “o que é real?” , assim como o próprio gênero documentário, tem a nos oferecer.
Ao longo de sua história, o FIDOCS se posicionou como um dos festivais de documentários mais ilustres da América Latina, sendo uma plataforma privilegiada para exibir o cinema contemporâneo e promover o pensamento crítico. Ano após ano, sob sua abordagem curatorial seletiva, o FIDOCS não apenas convida importantes expoentes dos setores audiovisuais nacionais e internacionais a exibirem seus trabalhos em Santiago, mas também, ao usar esta cidade como um centro cinematográfico, convida esses expoentes a questionar, interpretar e reescrever o status da prática contemporânea do cinema documental hoje.

O festival também realiza importantes atividades de treinamento e extensão em sua ESCOLA FIDOCS, onde estudantes de escolas de cinema e comunicação de todo o Chile, para que seus alunos mais destacados estejam em um espaço intergeracional e interdisciplinar com convidados de festivais internacionais e nacionais; participando de master classes, workshops, diálogos, entre outros.
Além disso, de acordo com sua vocação interdisciplinar, o FIDOCS pretende acompanhar suas exibições de outras intervenções artísticas, como instalações, exposições, performances, que, a partir de seus próprios meios expressivos, dialogam com o conceito de documentário. É assim que surge a seção FIDOCS EXPANDED, onde vários artistas, videoartistas e cineastas, todos ligados às áreas de som ou visual, exibem seus trabalhos.
Finalmente, os filmes escolhidos serão exibidos após a conclusão do festival, em diferentes regiões do Chile e no exterior, na seção BEST OF FIDOCS. O objetivo é a extensão cultural do festival em nível territorial, dando ênfase à circulação dos filmes em nível regional, podendo programar réplicas no território nacional e no exterior.

O FESTIVAL CURTA CINEMA - Festival Internacional de Curtas do Rio de Janeiro – é exclusivamente dedicado à exibição e à promoção de obras audiovisuais de curta-metragem. O Festival exibe trabalhos finalizados em suportes digitais, com duração máxima de 30 minutos, e tem caráter competitivo e informativo. A programação do Festival Curta Cinema 33a edição será constituída por: Competição Internacional e Nacional, Panorama Latino-Americano e Carioca, Panorama Infanto-Juvenil e Programas Especiais. O Curta Cinema é um Festival que qualifica os ganhadores do Grande Prêmio da Competição Nacional e Internacional a pleitearem uma indicação ao Oscar, premiação da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas dos Estados Unidos da América. Além da exibição de filmes, o Festival também promove workshops, palestras e debates. As inscrições de filmes para as competições, panoramas e programas especiais são gratuitas.

Year 4 is on the way! The film industry of Philadelphia has come together to make this city an active spot for HORROR shorts from around the world to be screened and celebrated. Philadelphia has one HUGE thirst for horror flicks and Average Superstar Films has stepped up and lead the way for this massive event. This event truly gives both local and international filmmakers their due. It is held at the world famous Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia. With a $60,000 sound system, and a FULL screen, the theater seats up to 600 movie-goers. This years event will run 10 hours, with a big networking party going on in the lobby area. News outlets and press are active at this event. Celebrities and horror movie Icons from all walks of life have shown up at this event. Last year we members of The Howard Stern Show on hand. Torremolinos International Fantastic Film Festival has become in a few years in one the most important events at Costa del Sol (Spain). Place in the Torremolinos' exhibition and conference centre: theaters with 240 and 460 people capacity. Organized by the Cultural Association "Cinefans", the festival it's now a reference of innovate and transgresive ideas.
