Ars Independent Festival 2019 will be the 9th multimedia festival of film, animation, video games and music videos. The upcoming edition will take place in Katowice, between the 24th and 29th of September 2019.
The festival is searching for what’s cool in young, debuting, contemporary audio-visual culture. It’s not afraid to watch videos with 27 views on YouTube, it’s missing the “least popular” sorting option on itch.io and considers Festival Scope Pro decidedly “too mainstream”.
The heart of the festival are four international competitions, in which the audience decides about the awarding of prizes. The Black Horse of Film (feature films from all over the world) and the Black Horse of Animation (short features) present the cinematographic debuts by directors from the entire world, often as their Polish premieres. The Black Horse of Video Games and the Black Horse of Music Video are devoted to new games and music videos.
Additionally, every year festivalgoers are treated to: screenings of films, animations and music videos, video game exhibitions, virtual reality and new technologies, discussion panels and Q&As with artists, concerts, live acts and musical afterparties.
In previous years, the festival hosted a variety of artists from all over the world, including Béla Tarr, Nina Menkes, Phil Mulloy, Laila Pakalnina, Bruce LaBruce, Tami Tamaki, Stephen „M.O.O.N.” Gilarde, Jakuba Dvorský, Mariola Brillowska, Piotr Dumała, Arkadiusz Jakubik, Bodo Kox, Łukasz Barczyk, Sos Sosowski, Wiktor Stribog and Władysław Komendarek.
The event is organized by the culture institution Katowice the City of Gardens and the City of Katowice.
A FARO 1540 – Associação de Defesa e Promoção do Património Ambiental e Cultural de Faro, após o sucesso alcançado nas edições anteriores do FARCUME – Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de Faro, decidiu organizar a 14ª edição deste Festival de Curtas que decorrerá na cidade de Faro, de 26 a 28 de Setembro de 2025.
Esta 15ª edição do FARCUME pretende exibir e promover trabalhos na secção de curtas-metragens até um máximo de 18 minutos de duração, repartidos em três categorias que são elas: Animação, Documentário e Ficção.
Neste festival, podem participar todos os cidadãos nacionais e estrangeiros de forma individual ou em grupo, bastando para tal cumprirem o estipulado no regulamento, preencherem uma ficha de inscrição e terem enviado as suas obras para a organização até ao dia 11 de Julho de 2025, estando sujeitas a uma pré-selecção.
Atendendo aos princípios e objetivos do “FARO 1540”, que tem ainda o estatuto de ONG (Organização Não Governamental do Ambiente) o Festival continuará a ter uma forte preocupação e sensibilidade ambiental alertando os participantes para não apresentarem curtas-metragens que aleguem ou incentivem o respeito pelo ambiente, desigualdade de direitos humanos ou abuso de animais. Será ainda desenvolvido um Plano de Gestão Ambiental especificamente “desenhado” para este evento de forma a garantir a otimização dos recursos necessários à promoção e realização do evento e gestão dos resíduos gerados.

A Associação Cultural Time & Memory organiza a décima quarta edição do Festival de Curtas-Metragens chamado “SHORT TO SOUTH”, a ser realizado em Polla (SA) ITÁLIA de 20 a 21 de junho de 2026 no Auditório “Holy Nicolicchio”.
O Cine Curtas Lapa é um festival independente e sem fins lucrativos com entrada franca. O Festival tem como meta exibir filmes que foram realizados ou tenham como tema a cidade do Rio de Janeiro a fim de fomentar a indústria do audiovisual brasileira, em especial a de curtas-metragens cariocas no bairro mais tradicional da noite da cidade. A ideia é levar ao público da Lapa uma programação de curtas de ficção, animação e documental, enriquecendo a vida cultural do bairro boêmio.

Em sua história, a Imaginaria cresceu enormemente, conquistando uma importante posição artística e social no setor dos festivais internacionais.
Festival de “pessoas e lugares”, Imaginaria consegue criar uma atmosfera familiar entre o público e os profissionais que vêm em cinemas ao ar livre de Conversano. O 36º Festival Internacional Message to Man de documentários, ficção curta, animação e filmes experimentais acontecerá de 16 a 24 de outubro de 2026 em São Petersburgo, Rússia.

Get Reel is a film festival that aims to uncover the greatest new film-making talent, in Australia and New Zealand, by asking entrants to produce a film, less than 10 minutes in length, responding to a specific theme. The festival promotes creativity and has attracted over 1,650 to date. This year's theme will be Time to Talk.
In 2016, the theme for the festival was Being Seen. After whittling down all of the entries over 180 attendees enjoyed the Top Ten films, as voted for by our film industry judging panel including Andrew Morley, Danielle Cormack, Jessica Grace Smith and Socratis Otto, at a Grand Final screening.
