El Festival AVIFF presenta un programa de películas de artistas en Cannes durante el período del Festival de Cine de Cannes, 4 días en mayo.
El concepto: mostrar otro «cine» y presentar obras audiovisuales a un público de asistentes al festival y profesionales.
Las obras seleccionadas deben haber sido producidas por artistas durante menos de 2 años y nunca antes se han presentado en Francia.
El programa presentado en Cannes se programará luego durante el año en lugares educativos y culturales asociados: festivales, museos, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, fundaciones, universidades, escuelas... y esto en el mundo, en Europa y en Francia.
Con el apoyo del Ministerio de Cultura, la región de Provenza y la Costa Azul, la Fundación Angel Orensanz de Nueva York y socios públicos y privados, el Festival AVIFF lleva 13 años trabajando para promover el cine del artista y su difusión, en favor de la libertad artística mundial y la expresión de la propia creatividad.

El Festival de Cine de 100 segundos reúne a cineastas internacionales que utilizan su brevedad y su infinita creatividad artística para hacer una película con imágenes prometedoras del «cine étnico» en diversas dimensiones, formatos y perspectivas, para pulir la vida del público creando cortometrajes de hasta 100 segundos de arte. La 13ª edición de este festival se celebrará del 28 de febrero al 3 de marzo de 2023 en la ciudad de Teherán (IRÁN), tras un paréntesis de 4 años debido a la crisis del coronavirus.
Lanzado en 1980, nuestro festival, el primero de su categoría en Corea del Sur, ha crecido y evolucionado desde el Festival de Cortometrajes de Corea hasta convertirse en el Festival de Cortometrajes Asiáticos de Busan en 2000 y, finalmente, en el Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de Busan en 2010 (www.bisff.org).
El BISFF, que tendrá lugar a finales de abril en el Busan Cinema Center, entregará una docena de premios en tres secciones competitivas (Competición Internacional, Competencia Coreana y Operation Kino), además de presentar varias secciones comisariadas y no competitivas, entre las que se incluyen: Guest Country, Korean Shorts, Asian Shorts, Prism, 3D Cinema, etc.

El Festival Internacional de Cine Miniboxoffice es ahora el Festival Internacional de Cine de Noida. Tras tres exitosas ediciones, el Festival Internacional de Cine Miniboxoffice, que se dedica principalmente a cortometrajes, ahora se amplía con la adición de una sección de largometrajes. En 2014, la dirección de Miniboxoffice la rebautizó con el nombre de «NOIDA», la ciudad de más rápido desarrollo de la India. Es un homenaje a la ciudad en la que Miniboxoffice comenzó su andadura en 2010 y que, en sí misma, es la sede de la mayor ciudad cinematográfica del norte de la India.
El objetivo del 13º Festival Internacional de Cine de Noida, 26, es presentar grandes obras de cineastas de todo el mundo a lo grande y, al mismo tiempo, proporcionar redes profesionales y dar a conocer a los participantes las tendencias actuales del cine. Each year, our festival takes place in Paris during the springtime, which is not only a beautiful season but also an exciting time of year for ÉCU, because that is when we showcase roughly around 60 of the World’s very best independent films. Although ÉCU emphasises European talent, it also recognises the genius of international filmmakers with several categories allocated to non-European films.
The next ÉCU, the 21st edition, will take place on April, 2026 in Paris, France.
ÉCU isn’t just about screening an amazing slate of films over its three-day event in Paris. There are also professional workshops led by experts in the industry, Q&A’s held with the attending filmmakers after every screening session and a chance to network with fellow filmmakers, producers, agents, industry representatives, prospective film buyers and, of course, the cinema-loving public. At ÉCU, there is a dialogue focusing on celebrating but also critiquing the world’s best indie cinema of today.
Though ÉCU’s main event IS the three-day festival in Paris each spring, there is even more! Thanks to our 50+ partner festivals, partner organisations, film centres and film commissions, ÉCU goes on an annual world tour called ÉCU-On-The-Road. This gives award-winning films (as well as many of the Official Selection films) the opportunity for their films to reach a broader, global, international audience.
ÉCU-On-The-Road showcased films in over 80 countries around the globe in 2016 to 2025 at special ÉCU mini-festivals, partner festivals, cultural institutions and film schools, including an amazing seven day special festival in São Paulo, Brazil. The event was made possible through the support of Caixa Cultural, São Paulo and was a huge success. ÉCU also held special events in Berlin (Germany), Atami (Japan) and was part of festivals in Lebanon, Italy, Russia, USA, Romania, Austria, Denmark and other countries. An A+ wins a Special Jury Award and is considered for the Grand Remi! An A score wins a Platinum Remi, an A- wins a Gold, a B+ wins a Silver and a B wins a Bronze Remi. No Awards are made below a B level score. With more than 4,750 category entries, only about 10-15% actually win a Remi Award, but we feel it is the best possible way to run a festival awards system!

The 55th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival continues its totally dedicated Independent Film screening format for the upcoming April 20-24, 2022 unspooling. WorldFest will screen just 60-80 feature film premieres and over 130 Shorts with a total and absolute emphasis on the American and International Independent feature film and a continuing annual spotlight on award-winning short films and documentary films. Entries Officially Open Aug. 15, 2021. The EarlyBird Entry Deadline is Nov. 15th 2021 – A Mail-By/Enter By/Ship-By Deadline! Entries do not have to arrive by this deadline. The Main Entry Deadline is December 15, 2021. The Late Entry Deadline is Jan 15th 2022!
