NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is a non-profit organization designed to showcase innovative works by emerging filmmakers from around the world, providing the Los Angeles community of entertainment professionals and film goers with a constant surge of monthly screening events. NFMLA provides a forum where filmmakers can be recognized for their contributions, have open audience discussions about their projects and connect with industry professionals for insight on distribution, production, acquisition and representation.
Each month, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) presents red carpet screenings of documentary, short and feature films that have been submitted from all over the world, followed by a Q&A with each films director. The program also offers a special after party so the audience can meet the filmmakers and incredible talent involved

The Festival’s aim is to encourage, through cinematographic art and expression, a reflection on relevant issues for women related to their specific cultural, political and social context. Live Entertainment, LLC, Russia in co-operation with EVENT FILM, Canada proudly present an annual festival event – International Horror, Action and Fantastic Film Festival & Awards "DROP".
The festival is being annually held in the city of Moscow since the year 2011 and contains 4 events:
- opening screening
- closing awards ceremony
- master-class and Q&A with movie stars
- film festival competition program screenings in cinema theatres
The Awards ceremony takes place in a big concert venue (changing every year) and consists of the show program and the ceremony of granting awards which is divided into the following jury voting categories:
- awards granted to local film distribution companies for the blockbusters screened in cinema theatres of Russia in the reported year;
- awards granted to young directors and producers as competition program. The category is called “Hope for Survival”;
- awards granted to World stars for the contribution to horror genre
The Awards ceremony is always visited and recorded by a large number of mass media.
The Master-class is a so-called Q&A horror convention held in a cinema theatre in a form of a question-answer session between the star guests of the festival and the audience + autograph session. The event usually ends with a premier film screening.
The festival program is a week non-stop screening of new movies in several Moscow cinema theatres. The films-participants of the competition program are being selected by the festival’s jury. Submissions are being analysed and accepted by the festival's organization committee during the whole year.
The festival's schedule usually also contains a pre-party and an after-party arranged for the honored guests and winners.
The TV version of the festival is televised by Tricolor TV platform.
The festival specializes in all sub-genres of horror and action film industry, i.e.: cartoon horror, comedy horror, psychological thriller, trash horror, zombie horror, giallo, slasher, suspense, detective, action, fantasy, sci-fi etc. Starting from the year 2013 the festival also specializes in survival horror video games sphere.
The festival is annually visited in person by World-known honored guests. Unmasked is a series of film screening and networking event that aims to give upcoming filmmakers the chance to see their work on the big screen.
Januarys event is focusing on both short films and web-series, we want to help you meet potential future crew, get feedback and, perhaps most importantly, get recognised for your talent.
At our event you will get the chance to not only see your film/web-series on a cinema screen to an audience of 150 people, but you will also get the chance to network with everyone after over drinks at the bar.
You can expect a wide range of attendees from industry professionals to ethusiasts just starting out but everyone there will be there to support the upcoming talent that you have.
IndieFlicks is the UK's monthly film festival, supporting the best up and coming filmmakers from around the world. IndieFlicks is continuously growing, hosting simultaneous screenings in Manchester, London and Sheffield. We also host a repeat screening the following week in Liverpool.

How our monthly festival works…
Our Monthly Festival is a showcase of Short films from around the world, screening 50 minutes of short film in the first half, followed by our selected Feature Short in the second. We also host a Q&A with filmmakers able to attend and talks with local creatives.
At each event, two films will be selected to win either one of our awards:
The People’s Choice Award
The Directors Choice Award
Films included in the first half are nominated for our 'The People's Choice Award’; This is evidently voted for our audiences on the night and votes are calculated collectively from all of our venues.
In the second half of the night we host our 'Feature Short', one film no longer than 50 minutes. This is our headliner for the event. This film is awarded, ‘The Directors Choice Award’, one that our Judging panel felt deserves recognition.

UM CINEMA POÉTICO DE CONTEMPLAÇÃO
Olhares de cineastas, em toda sua diversidade sociocultural, interessados em qualquer filme como resultado de descoberta pessoal, pesquisa ou experimentação, inspiração e trabalho, a partir da revelação ou introspecção dos autores. Cotidiano, êxtase e disparidade como estruturas para criar profundidade no tratamento cinematográfico.
ASCETISMO
O misticismo e o ascetismo na produção cinematográfica representam, provavelmente, um patrimônio mais absoluto em comparação com outros, porque um cinema com grande orçamento e maior complexidade técnica poderia ser feito, mas às vezes o filme mais humilde e simples é, no entanto, universal.
O ALAMBIQUE
Cinematografias impermanentes, da fotografia, do cinema 'amador' (do verbo francês aimer), definem diretores não apenas pelo que eles mostram e como o fazem na tela, mas pelo que decidem não mostrar.
FENOMENOLOGIA
O que aparece e desaparece, as topologias emergem, materiais ou conscientes, e sua invisibilidade ou posterior expiração. O ambiente sequencial do vazio, das matérias e do tempo. Diante do discurso, eloquente, todo mundo pode entendê-lo sozinho. Ausência e milagre: a mística como possível coabitação.

Missão
O Festival Internacional Estudantil Cinema de Barra do Piraí é o braço educacional do Polo Audiovisual da cidade de Barra do Piraí, no interior do estado do Rio de Janeiro.
Iniciado em 2009, através da parceria entre a produtora audiovisual Mauá Filmes, a Prefeitura Municipal de Barra do Piraí e a Reluz Logistica Reversa Ltda, tem como missão ampliar as possibilidades de expressão do universo infanto-juvenil, através de imagens e histórias.
Composto por três mostras: Local, Nacional e Internacional, o Festival proporciona o intercâmbio entre jovens realizadores de todo o Mundo e promove a reflexão acerca do conteúdo a eles destinado.
Entre as diversas ações e atividades do FestCine, destaca-se o projeto “Luz, Câmera, Educação!”, que consiste de oficinas de produção audiovisual em escolas públicas e privadas da cidade de Barra de Piraí, voltadas aos alunos do 6º ano do ensino fundamental ao 3º ano do ensino médio.
Como resultado dessas oficinas, cada escola produz um curta metragem, cujo tema é de livre escolha dos jovens, favorecendo a criatividade, promovendo a pesquisa, a leitura e a escrita, permitindo que se expressem artisticamente ao mundo ao seu redor.
Os filmes produzidos pelos jovens participam, então, da Mostra Competitiva Local do FestCine e concorrem entre si em oito categorias: melhor áudio, melhor arte, melhor roteiro, melhor direção, melhor atriz, melhor ator, melhor filme júri popular e melhor filme. Julgamento realizado por júri especializado, composto por profissionais da área de cinema e educação.
Estudantes de todo o Brasil participam da Mostra Competitiva Nacional, que premia o melhor filme segundo o júri técnico. Todos os premiados das Mostras Local e Nacional recebem um troféu e o premiado por melhor filme da Mostra Nacional recebe o valor de R$ 2.000,00.
Em cada edição, o Festival presta uma homenagem especial a importantes figuras do cinema nacional que, sempre que possível, prestigiam a noite de abertura do evento com sua presença, para o delírio da platéia de cerca de 3 mil pessoas em média. É uma grande festa.
Ao longo desses 6 anos de Festival, tivemos a realização de mais de 100 filmes dentro das oficinas de produção audiovisual da Mostra Local, com a participação de mais de 3000 alunos. Na Mostra Nacional foram exibidos 60 filmes selecionados entre as mais de 250 obras inscritas. E, na Mostra Internacional, já passaram por nossas telas 30 filmes produzidos por jovens de diversos países.
Contamos, também, com a participação de um público de cerca de 10 mil pessoas por edição do Festival, chegando a 60 mil espectadores que puderam conhecer os trabalhos desses jovens, através das exibições em praça pública, gratuitamente, ao longo dos 7 dias de exibição de cada edição do Festival. Números que expressam a importância do evento, carinhosamente conhecido como o “Oscar Estudantil”.
Devemos nossos agradecimentos aos patrocinadores deste projeto, que viabilizaram sua realização. Todos os estudantes, professores, multiplicadores e comunidades envolvidas na produção de cada filme e todos os espectadores das exibições em praça pública, cinemas e Internet reconhecem e aplaudem os benefícios resultantes desse instrumento de educação e cultura.

O Festival Internacional de Cinema de Palencia é organizado pela Associação Amigos do Filme e pela Universidade Popular de Palência.
Esta edição é a número 35 e, durante todos esses anos, nossa filosofia tem considerado o cinema uma ferramenta de desenvolvimento e coesão social.
Nosso festival colabora com a Academia Espanhola de Cinema e é um festival de qualificação para o GOYA Shortfilm Awards.
Além disso, o curta-metragem premiado pelo júri do MCIP (Prêmio Milagros Alcalde) irá diretamente para o finalista da Lista Curta do Prêmio FUGAZ, compondo a lista curta de filmes que serão avaliados para indicação pela comissão que concede esses prêmios a cada ano.
DocsBarcelona é um festival internacional especializado no gênero documental composto por seções de competições internacionais e nacionais, seções não competitivas e retrospectivas. O Comitê de Direção Artística e Programação seleciona todos os documentários que compõem essas seções.
O DocsBarcelona celebrará a 28ª edição de 8 a 18 de maio de 2025.
