The Erie International Film Festival Call For Entries is now open to the US and International filmmakers, and we shall accept all genres of film including Narrative Features, Narrative Shorts, Animation Features and Shorts, Experimental Features and Shorts, and all forms of Horror, Suspense and Thriller films of Short and Feature length, all lengths of Comedies and Documentaries, along with Feature and Short lengths of GLBT and Religious/Spirituals films, along with Music Videos for the 2018 festival.
Our festival is seeking the best films that the world has to offer while working to give new and veteran Independent Filmmakers the attention they deserve.
As a 501c(3) non-profit, the Erie International Film Festival will accept submissions of films regardless if those films are of world premiere status at the time of submission, or if the film has been screened publicly or otherwise distributed anywhere at the time of submission.
Film enlightens the world, opens our eyes, and shows us things we do not see every day, and makes us feel things we do not always feel. The Erie International Film Festival celebrates new trends in digital media and recognizes Transmedia Filmmakers who employ an innovative, interactive, web-based or multi-platform approach to story creation. Through open submissions, selections will be presented to the public via state-of-the-art-technology.
Our Festival’s mission is to help filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience while allowing the general public to experience the power of cinema in the digital age while showcasing the City of Erie as not only an excellent tourist destination but as a filmmaking alternative of the East Coast.
In addition to our live Film Festival event that will take place in December 2018, our festival will expand its reach beyond the great City of Erie Pennsylvania, offering to both filmmakers who may not be able to attend our festival, and to independent film lovers around the world, the opportunity to take part in our festival through a unique virtual theater platform with our online festival, December 6 – December 15, 2018.
Much like with the digital technology that has swept independent film festivals throughout the world since the early 2000s, for many reasons the virtual theater is quickly becoming the first, best choice for festivals, and the new home of Independent film screening worldwide.
The virtual theater is the future of film festivals, as more and more festivals are now screening films online, and even the big festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival are moving to online screenings.
Our virtual theater allows the filmmaker’s work to be showcased to the world with the highest levels of security and presentation quality. Unlike any online screening system in the world, ours never allows films to be copied, downloaded, or reproduced in any way, nor can the HTML code of any film be copied and pasted into any other site successfully. No film launched in our virtual theater can play or even appear on any other website.

Welcome to the first edition of Hammerbrook Film Fest located in Hamburg!
The event will be held in the Art House of Wendenstrasse, an old Pig slaughter Fabric with concrete floors and high ceiling, since 1995 host for Artists residences and studios. The thought behind hosting a Filmfest in Wendenstrasse in Hammerbrook is to create a different form of screening platform for Independent Film as well as a celebration of the area Hammerbrook, while maintaining a worthy Film Screening.
Hammerbrook is filled with Industries and office house complexes, and a hundred thousand day workers who all disappear at point 1700 hours. At night it is a ghost town, and you see gigantic empty buildings and industries - but also art events, concerts, clubs and more. It is in the spirit of this the Hammerbrook Filmfest is held.

INTRODUCCIÓN
El SIFFCY (festival internacional de cine para niños y jóvenes Smile) es una de las iniciativas emblemáticas de la principal organización de desarrollo de la India, la fundación Smile, lanzada en 2015 con el objetivo de involucrar, alentar, educar y empoderar a los jóvenes a través del buen cine, la proyección de películas basadas en valores, las sesiones interactivas, las actividades de desarrollo de capacidades y los talleres relacionados. El festival ha creado un punto de referencia en su categoría y ya ha sido reconocido como un festival internacional de cine altamente creíble para el público joven. El festival de cine, de una semana de duración, atrae a más de 30 000 espectadores y a 100 expertos de la industria, jurados y cineastas internacionales y nacionales durante el mes de diciembre de cada año, y luego viaja a otras partes del país para llegar al máximo de público que se encuentra en lugares remotos, pequeñas ciudades y pueblos de la India.
NOTA IMPORTANTE: Este año, debido a la situación pandémica provocada por la COVID-19 (variante Omicron), se ha previsto que el festival (SIFFCY) se celebre en un modelo híbrido (principalmente en línea y proyecciones físicas seleccionadas)

LA ORGANIZACIÓN QUE ESTÁ DETRÁS DE:
La Fundación Smile, una de las principales organizaciones de desarrollo de la India, ha estado trabajando de forma continua durante los últimos 18 años en todas las áreas principales para satisfacer mejor las necesidades de las personas, especialmente de los jóvenes, teniendo en cuenta todos los desafíos. La fundación beneficia directamente a más de 15 000 000 niños y sus familias cada año, a través de más de 400 proyectos de asistencia social en materia de educación, salud, medios de subsistencia y empoderamiento de las mujeres, en más de 2000 aldeas y barrios marginales remotos de 25 estados de la India. FEMCINE nace para relevar y apoyar el trabajo de las realizadoras y acercar a un amplio público a las películas relacionadas con las temáticas de género. FEMCINE invita a las realizadoras de Chile y del mundo a participar en una de sus tres categorías de competencia: Competencia Internacional de Largometrajes, Competencia Internacional de Cortometrajes y Competencia de Cortometrajes de Escuelas de Cine de Chile.
MONO NO AWARE is the annual exhibition of expanded cinema showcasing sculpture, installation, single-multiple channel durational projection, and performance art that incorporates the moving image on Super 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, or as an altered light projection. (No DV)
In 2015, the ninth annual MONO NO AWARE exhibition was mentioned in the New York Times and presented the work of 33 international artists to an audience of 900. This year's festival and screening will be part of MONO NO AWARE's tenth annual festival, which includes screenings of works curated from artists around the world.
Submission is sliding scale by donation ($0-20 - pay what you wish) which allows MONO NO AWARE to provide travel stipends and lodging to presenting artists.
The festival is organized by the non-profit cinema-arts organization MONO NO AWARE.
MONO NO AWARE offers year-round analog filmmaking workshops to the community teaching: Super 8mm, 16mm filmmaking, 2-D animation and 3-D puppet animation, Production for Independent Film, Hand-processing, Alternative-processing and Non-toxic-processing Techniques, Film Preservation, Handmade Emulsion, Advanced Super 16mm filmmaking, a range of special workshops led by visiting filmmakers and more. As an extension of the educational initiatives, the organization rents analogue filmmaking equipment, makes Steenbeck flat-bed editing and JK or Oxberry optical printing facilities available to the public and we also import/distribute Color and Black and White film stocks. Through our outreach program we present these same workshops at numerous universities, film festivals, and institutions throughout the US. This year we have presented workshops at The Japan Society (Manhattan, NY) The Oak Cliff Film Festival (Dallas, TX) The Queens Museum (Queens, NY) and this August we’ll travel to the Thomas Edison National Park to conduct a re-imagining kinetoscopes workshop inside the historic Black Maria (West Orange, NJ). MONO NO AWARE presents a monthly screening series entitled CONNECTIVITY THROUGH CINEMA with visiting filmmakers and most recently a co-presentation of a three-day retrospective ‘Super 8 Poetics’ the works of Stephanie Gray at The Anthology Film Archives. We’ve also started a reference library with a focus on cinema history, theory and technical filmmaking texts and publications.

The Fish&Chips Film Festival – International Erotic Film Festival wants to open, in Turin and in Italy, a window on film genre and create an opportunity to approach sexuality in a creative, free, innovative, lay, irreverent and intelligent way. The Festival aims to be a moment of liberation and expressive creation and it will take place in January 2020 in Turin, Italy.
We believe in eroticism as a basic need of human beings and we want to show sex from different points of view, be they psychological, physical or social, but in any case liberating and non-discriminatory.
We want to research and propose a quality cultural production, able to go beyond the simplistic and abused canonical approaches. We are going to select works with cinematographic significance, able to convey a unique vision upon a broad and varied world, ranging from love to eroticism and pornography.
The festival is meant to be a moment of reflection and enjoyment, which includes debates, exhibitions and shows. For our third edition, we welcome any experimentation, smashed peas, proposals and other pleasantries. We believe expression, sexual and thought freedom to be a key feature for the creation of a more challenging horizon.
Sex has always driven many of our decisions and that’s where we have decided to start from!

The PDXtreme Film Fest is the best damn genre festival Portland Oregon has ever seen! Taking place over 3 days at the historic Laurelhurst Theater, we showcase horror, crime, dark comedy, and everything in-between. Tales of the grotesque, the limits of the psychological, and bumps in the night whatever the cause! Does it take place in space? That's cool too.
This will be our fourth year! Continuing the traditions of the first 3 years, you can expect trophies, free beer for attending filmmakers, and no repertory films. In our first season we played 32 short films, and 13 feature films. Last year we screened 54 total films. It’s more badassness than should be allowed in one weekend!
Screening takes place at the Laurelhurst Theater, a legit theater that serves beer, wine, and pizza. In less than a minute you can walk to a variety of restaurants, bars, and other examples of Portland life.
We promise a rollicking good time and a slate packed with great films. We can't do that without the filmmakers, so submit your films now! International films accepted. Diversity and originality are not only welcome, but also encouraged. Absolutely no ratings restrictions, ever.

¿Por qué debo inscribirme?
1. Pase de festival gratuito para todos los cineastas que se inscriban
Todos los que envíen una película a Mirror Mountain, independientemente de si es seleccionada o no, obtienen un pase gratuito para asistir a todo el festival.
2. Los cineastas locales se pueden inscribir gratis
Las películas de cualquier duración se pueden inscribir de forma gratuita si se rodaron o editaron en un radio de 125 km de Ottawa. Esta área incluye Gatineau, Maniwaki, Mont Tremblant, Montebello, Hawkesbury, Cornualles, Potsdam, Brockville, Smiths Falls, Perth, Renfrew, Arnprior y más.
3. Inscripciones gratuitas para exalumnos
Si dirigiste una película que fue seleccionada oficialmente para proyectarse en una edición anterior de Mirror Mountain, puedes volver a inscribirla sin coste alguno.
4. Te devolvemos tu dinero
Si tu película ha sido seleccionada oficialmente para proyectarse en el festival, te reembolsaremos la cuota de inscripción original.
5. Menos restricciones
No tenemos requisitos de fecha de estreno o finalización. Su película sigue siendo elegible incluso si se ha proyectado anteriormente en la región de Ottawa, se ha distribuido, se ha emitido por televisión o está disponible para su visualización en línea.
6. Pagamos honorarios de artistas
Si tu película es seleccionada oficialmente para proyectarse en el festival, también recibirás una cuota de artista como agradecimiento por permitirnos proyectar tu obra.
7. Mantente informado
Tras inscribir tu película, recibirás una notificación del festival para confirmar que hemos recibido tu solicitud. Más adelante, recibirás una notificación con los resultados, independientemente de si tu película ha sido seleccionada o no.
8. Premios para los cineastas ganadores
Los premios se entregan en varias categorías una vez finalizado el festival. Los ganadores reciben un certificado y una selección de premios donados por nuestros patrocinadores.
9. Clasificable para el Canadian Screen
Mirror Mountain es un festival oficial clasificatorio para los Canadian Screen Awards, seleccionados por la Academia de Cine y Televisión de Canadá.
10. Ambiente agradable y alternativo
Como comunidad de cineastas y artistas, nos esforzamos por crear un ambiente vibrante y acogedor en el que los creadores y los miembros del público de diversos orígenes artísticos y culturales puedan reunirse y crecer a través del trabajo y la conversación compartidos.
AnimArte es un festival internacional de películas animadas hechas por niños y jóvenes, y hechas para niños y jóvenes.

La duración máxima de cada película es de 15 minutos.
¡En 2025 se celebrará la 18ª edición de AnimArte y el festival tendrá lugar en noviembre!
Para los estudiantes internacionales (estudiantes de todo el mundo), hay dos categorías competitivas (solo para cortometrajes de animación): Maxi (18 años o más) y Mini (menores de 18 años).
Para los profesionales internacionales hay dos categorías: «Películas sobre el medio ambiente» y «Culturas del mundo».
Las animaciones seleccionadas se proyectarán siguiendo el programa preparado por la junta organizadora del Festival.
Si la película tiene diálogos en un idioma distinto del portugués, será necesario enviar un archivo de texto con los diálogos de la película en inglés (si es posible, con el código horario) al correo electrónico: animarte@vouanimarte.com.br.
Se acepta una versión de la película con subtítulos en inglés para facilitar el trabajo de traducción y subtitulación al portugués, pero la versión que se proyectará en el festival debe presentarse sin subtítulos.
También hay 2 categorías exclusivas (solo para cortometrajes de animación) solo para estudiantes matriculados en instituciones educativas de Brasil: Maxi (estudiantes universitarios) y Mini (estudiantes de secundaria y estudiantes de educación primaria).
