We continue to accept submissions but please not your film will be submitted to the 2020 edition NOT 2019. This is due to Government elections on Madeira.
Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
The entry fee is 30 / 40 / 50 Euros depending upon submissions date and irrespective of genre and running time. Exhibiting filmmakers will be offered 3 nights accommodation including breakfast on Madeira during the festival.

The call for entries starts on August 16th 2018 and will remain open until April 2nd 2019.
The Madeira Film Festival is non – competitive. Rather than present awards MFF offers delegates the status of ‘AMBASSADOR OF THE LAURISSILVA’ thus helping to preserve and create awareness of Madeira’s endemic Laurissilva forest.
The Madeira Film Festival organisation fervently believes there is no better place in the world to stage a film festival than on the piquant Island of Madeira and there is no better place on Madeira to stage a film festival than in glorious Reid’s Palace Hotel and the Municipal Theatre in Funchal.
The crux of the Madeira Film Festival is to pay homage to the resilience of Madeira’s endemic Laurissilva Forest by screening a slate of films which are expansive, unsettling and profound,films which will hopefully impinge upon the viewers imagination.
One of the most effective measures that can be implemented in order to raise awareness of the Laurissilva forest and subsequently it’s preservation is through the undisputed persuasive strength of audio- visual communication. The aspiration of the Madeira Film Festival is to become one of Europe’s foremost film festivals, by sheer virtue of location there exists an inherent capacity to attain this.

I sei-otto migliori film e serie web tra TUTTE le candidature idonee, secondo quanto stabilito da Beyond Borders: Diversity in Cannes e dai suoi partner, saranno presi in considerazione in concorso e proiettati durante il Diversity in Cannes Short Film & Webseries Showcase a maggio 2018 in occasione di un evento indipendente durante il Festival di Cannes. I vincitori saranno determinati dalla giuria e annunciati durante la vetrina.

The Cardiff Mini Film Festival has been taking over unusual venues to screen film since 2012. To ensure any newcomers to the industry aren't obliterated by any high budget production companies we separate our fiction programming into high budget and low budget, so please ensure you tell us what your budget was for the actual making of the film (marketing and distribution excluded).
You can expect to watch a film in a coffee shop vault, a shopping centre basement, an antique market, themed bars and any other fantastic unusual venues we can get our hands-on. This is a festival for those that like to mingle with a drink throughout the day whilst enjoying the best up and coming short films.
All kinds of people come to our festival, from actors to musicians, as well as special guests from within the industry which in the past have included Boyd Clack (Twin Town, Satellite City, High Hopes), Kirsten Jones (Satellite City, High Hopes), Philip John (Being Human, Kevin Allen (Twin Town), Downton Abbey) Ryan Eddleston (Prevenge), Kevin Allen (Twin Town), S4C, Ffilm Cymru Wales, Creative Skillset, Festival Formula, Cult Cymru and many more people to meet to discuss your career in the industry.
We also screen many special under distributed films for those film lovers out there, in underused spaces such as bars and empty shops.

L'AMOR International LGBT+ Film Festival è il primo festival cinematografico internazionale di Santiago del Cile incentrato sul tema della diversità sessuale e di genere, di natura indipendente e competitiva. La settima edizione di AMOR Festival si svolgerà dal 27 giugno al 2 luglio 2023, in un formato ibrido, con proiezioni e attività digitali e fisiche specifiche sul territorio nazionale.

LATERALE FILM FESTIVAL è un festival internazionale non competitivo di arte cinematografica organizzato dall'Associazione Culturale Laterale.
L'obiettivo del progetto è migliorare gli aspetti più innovativi dei linguaggi audiovisivi della scena contemporanea e ridurre la distanza tra ricerca artistica e coinvolgimento del pubblico. Particolare attenzione sarà riservata ai registi giovani e indipendenti e alle opere autoprodotte senza budget, come risultato della ricerca individuale.
Il Festival promuove un terreno comune di condivisione gratuito e stimolante, che mostra ciò che di solito viene trascurato o rifiutato a causa della distanza dal modo convenzionale di fare e di interpretare il cinema.
LATERALE è uno spazio che abbatte barriere e pregiudizi, massificazione e standardizzazione; uno spazio che vuole diventare un laboratorio artistico dove è possibile scoprire ora il cinema del futuro.
AGRinCORTO, il primo concorso di Cortometraggi di Cinisello Balsamo, si propone di incoraggiare e promuovere il confronto con il linguaggio audiovisivo senza alcuna restrizione di categorie: opere documentaristiche, di finzione, animazione, tradizionali o sperimentali. Verrà istituito un riconoscimento per chi si cimenta per la prima volta con l’arte del corto.
Il concorso prevede due sezioni:
A - Sezione a tema “Il sale della terra”. Ambiente, ecologia, agricoltura, lavoro, solidarietà, economia.
B - Una sezione a tema libero per Cooperative, scuole e associazioni,
L'Horrorant Film Festival 'FRIGHT NIGHTS' è un festival internazionale di film horror organizzato da un distributore di film di genere e che si svolge ogni anno nei cinema meglio attrezzati nel cuore di Atene e Salonicco, in Grecia.
The Costa Blanca International Film Festival is a two day event held at the San Miguel de Salinas Nueva Taberna in the heart of the Costa Blanca. The festival has screenings of films in many genres from international filmmakers and is free entry to the public

Filmmakers are invited to submit their films is any genre and any length. Selected films will be eligible for award nomination. Winning films are screened at the festival with filmmakers invited to attend the awards ceremony and Q&A sessions.
The Okotoks Film Festival is a three day international festival to be held annually in the town of Okotoks. (located in Alberta, Canada just south of Calgary) We will be offering films in a wide variety of genres to reach a extensive audience.
Workshops will be run during the festival. Film makers submitting to the festival will receive 1 FREE ENTRY to any one workshop offered should they be able to attend the festival. Film makers with films chosen to screen at the festival will receive free entry to all workshops, screenings and galas during the festival.
We are looking for films in ANY GENRE for our general screenings. We also have two specialized screenings with specific genre needs. These genres are Children's short films and Experimental/Horror short films.
The first two months of submission is FREE TO ALL SHORT FILM MAKERS. (Sept 1-Oct 31) Submission is always free to films from the Municipal District of Foothills No. 31.

Puerto Madero IFF is an online annual competition based of the technical execution of films.
All submission are evaluated on each technical category: Script, Cinematography, Sound, Acting and Direction.
At the end of each year we announced the official selection films based on their creativity and technical execution.
Our festival is ONLINE only at the moment, we are working hard to make an annual event with public screening.

The Cisterna Film Festival is an international short film festival held annually in July in Cisterna di Latina, Italy. Over the years, the festival has established itself as a vibrant meeting point for contemporary short cinema, showcasing outstanding works by emerging and established filmmakers from around the world. The festival is organized by the cultural association MOBilitazioni Artistiche and promoted by Municipality of Cisterna di Latina, with artistic direction by Cristian Scardigno.
From 2015 to 2025, the Cisterna Film Festival presented a wide selection of national and international premieres, including films showcased at major festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Sundance, and Clermont-Ferrand, as well as award-winning works recognized by the most prestigious film honors, including the Academy Awards, David di Donatello Awards, César Awards, and Goya Awards.
Since 2017, the festival has featured a “Focus” section dedicated each year to a specific country, fostering cultural exchange and international dialogue through cinema. The section was inaugurated in 2017 with a focus on Poland, supported by the Polish Institute in Rome, followed in 2018 by Ireland, in collaboration with the Irish Film Festa and the Irish Embassy. In 2019, the festival turned its attention to Germany, with the support of German Films and the German Embassy in Rome, and in 2021 to Greece, in collaboration with the Drama International Short Film Festival, an Academy Award–qualifying festival.

Anche quest’anno siamo orgogliosi di presentare nella città di Pietrasanta il concorso internazionale dedicato ai cortometraggi.
Già nel 1877 il poeta Giosué Carducci valorizzava questo Comune che oggi è conosciuto internazionalmente per tutte le sue attività artistiche e artigianali, quali i prestigiosi laboratori di marmo, le rinomate fonderie e le numerose gallerie d’arte. Con le loro opere e con la loro presenza, gli artisti hanno fatto di questa città un museo a cielo aperto e gli atelier, che ospitano autorevoli maestri provenienti da tutto il mondo, la rendono un importantissimo centro culturale.
Per queste caratteristiche, Mondo Cinema ha ritenuto la splendida città di Pietrasanta la sede ideale per il concorso internazionale di cortometraggi, che ha come scopo quello di dare visibilità e di far conoscere autori fino ad ora poco noti al grande pubblico, in un ambiente artistico e culturale conosciuto e apprezzato a livello mondiale.
La “FESTA ARTE e CINEMA” si svolge nella prestigiosa sede del Chiostro di Sant’Agostino, Sala dell’Annunziata, concessa gentilmente dall’Amministrazione Comunale di Pietrasanta.
Tra gli altri, la manifestazione ha ottenuto il patrocinio del Mibact, della Regione Toscana, della Provincia di Lucca, del Comune di Pietrasanta, del Comune di Camaiore, del Comune di Massarosa e del Comune di Viareggio.
Negli anni, i numerosi premi sono stati assegnati sia ad autori italiani che ad autori stranieri.
Anche l’edizione 2019 mantiene l’intento di avere una visione globale del mondo dei cortometraggi, mettendo in rilievo sia le opere di autori italiani che di quelli stranieri. Una particolare attenzione è dedicata agli studenti delle scuole di cinema.
Il “Gulf of Naples Independent Film Festival” è una rassegna destinata a fare da vetrina internazionale a opere cinematografiche di varia tipologia e genere, con lo scopo di promuovere e diffondere il cinema d’autore e il cinema di ricerca, non distribuito nelle sale, per favorire il confronto tra esperienze diverse e proporsi come punto di incontro e spazio di approfondimento.
