Guimarães Cinema Som is an international film festival that regards sound as a structural element of a film, taking in consideration its elements beyond musical soundtrack. The festival focuses on films that offer an authentic perspective on sound. At the same time, the festival also seeks to provide the audience with a larger knowledge of the sound element through the history of cinema, from the silent era to contemporary films, considering its different dimensions. There are two main competitions — films and film soundtracks — followed by non-competitive screenings, including silent films. The selection criterion is based on the quality of the soundtrack, considering the use of music (or its absence), sound/image dialectics and the general importance of sound concept within the singular universe of each film. The soundtrack competition is a challenging opportunity for creators to produce an original soundtrack for one of three silent films (selected by the festival), which can be musical/instrumental or non-musical/instrumental — with only voice and bruitage elements.

Il Neuquén International Independent Film Festival -FECINEU- ha come obiettivo principale quello di diffondere produzioni latino-americane e come obiettivo generale di stabilire un legame tra i registi e il pubblico, essendo un punto d'incontro cinematografico internazionale.
FECINEU è impegnata nella distribuzione e formazione di pubblico cinematografico indipendente in Patagonia e in America Latina in generale; Per quello che è stato proposto nel 2018 per lanciare il FECINEU International Circuit, che mira a rompere i confini del Festival, organizzando proiezioni in diverse città del continente come Barranquilla (Colombia), Villa El Chocón (Argentina) e presto Bogotá e molti altri.

L'annuale Eko International Film Festival (EKOIFF) è un festival cinematografico internazionale nella megalopoli costiera di Lagos, nel sud-ovest della Nigeria.
È stato fondato e fondato da Hope Obioma Opara nel 2009 e Hope Obioma Opara è anche CEO di Supple Communications Limited, di cui il festival è Holden. Nel corso degli anni, il festival è diventato una celebrazione dell'animazione per bambini e adulti. Gli eventi si svolgono in tutti i centri regionali della Bielorussia.

Il 13° Torino Underground Cinefest si svolgerà alla fine di settembre 2026 presso lo splendido «Cinema Baretti», nel cuore di «San Salvario», uno dei quartieri più vivaci della città. Ancora una volta, questa edizione conferma la partnership con la società di distribuzione «Piano B», che garantirà la distribuzione nelle sale e televisive di lungometraggi e documentari selezionati ritenuti più adatti alla commercializzazione. Grazie alla collaborazione con «Streeen!» , diversi titoli selezionati avranno anche la possibilità di essere distribuiti via streaming.

Film Festival of persons with disabilities to be held for the sixth time in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, aims to raise awareness about people with disabilities as equal members of society.
Il Festival di Malaga, in collaborazione con l'Area per le pari opportunità del Comune di Malaga, persegue l'obiettivo di sostenere la presenza delle donne nella produzione cinematografica, creando spazi che rendano visibile il lavoro delle donne nel campo dell'audiovisivo, campo professionale in cui sono sottorappresentate, sia nella regia, nella produzione o nella scrittura di sceneggiature; favorendo l'industria cinematografica con i diversi punti di vista delle donne.
Per raggiungere questo obiettivo, l'Area per le pari opportunità terrà il suo «XXII FILM SHOW WOMEN ON STAGE», tra i mesi di ottobre e novembre 2024.
THE WOMEN ON STAGE FILM EXHIBITION è stata creata nel 2002 con l'obiettivo di discutere, attraverso l'organizzazione di cineforum, le disuguaglianze di genere esistenti nella nostra società e in altre società vicine, riflettendo sulle loro cause e sulle possibili strategie sociali per sradicarle.

Inconvenient Films is an international competitive human rights documentary film festival, taking place in various cities and towns accross Lithuania. Established in 2007 as an annual film event, it is currently the biggest documentary film festival in the country and the only film festival of this kind in the Baltic States region. The festival invites filmmakers, experts, activists and festival audience to appreciate and discuss the role of documentaries in reflecting and shaping our understanding of reality. The mission of this festival is to use award winning author driven films in raising awareness about human rights issues around the world, encouraging public debate on ways to address them.
Festival’s International Competition is dedicated to the films by new filmmakers – their first or second feature documentary. Films are selected considering artistic value, filmmaking skills and revelation of a relevant human rights topic. The Best Film is selected and awarded by international jury.

Another Independent International Film Festival (AIIFF) is unlike any other festival you’re going to be a part of. Friday Harbor Film Festival features 3 days of award winning documentary films about the diverse cultures and environments of the Pacific Rim. Since 2003 the international Festival SIGNES DE NUIT is active in Paris, Berlin, Saarbrücken and with special screenings world wide.
