The Central American Film Festival in Vienna has become a firmly rooted tradition, establishing itself as a key cultural event in the city.
Vienna, recognized as one of the world’s most important cultural hubs, provides an ideal and prestigious platform to showcase the increasingly innovative and notable productions emerging from the Central American region.
This year, the festival returns from November 17 to 22, 2025, with the hope of once again welcoming our loyal audience, who will have the opportunity to enjoy the latest and most outstanding works of Central American cinema.
The program includes the categories of Feature Film, Short Film, Documentary, and Animation, along with several non-competitive parallel sections, including: “Pioneers of Central American Cinema,” “Works in Progress,” “Guest Film,” “Bonus Films,” and “Latin American View,” the latter dedicated to works portraying contemporary life in Latin America. The Great Lakes International Shorts Festival has officially opened its Call for Entries and is now accepting films of all short lengths and genres including Narrative, Animation, Experimental, and all forms of Horror, Suspense, Sci-Fi, and Thriller films, along with Comedies, Religious/Spiritual, Music Videos, and Documentaries, and GLBT films, for the 2019 season.
The 2019 Great Lakes International Shorts Festival shall accept Music Videos from around the world of cross-continent and cross-genre productions. The Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival is produced by Talize Sayegh, which also has been cooperated with major festivals like the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (Laliff) and the Rio Festival.

Mal del Cap lance l'appel à candidatures pour son XIe Festival international du court métrage et des nouveaux récits
Ibiza, 21 juillet 2025.— L'association culturelle d'Ibiza Mal del Cap, Cultura Mal Dita a ouvert ce dimanche l'appel à candidatures pour les courts métrages qui participeront au XIe festival international du court métrage et des nouveaux récits « Mal del Cap, Narratives Mal Dites », qui, à cette occasion, changera de format et aura lieu entre décembre 2025 et avril 2026.
La période d'inscription s'étend du 21 juillet au 1er septembre 2025 et est ouverte aux cinéastes du monde entier. Les œuvres doivent être soumises en format numérique et peuvent être de la fiction, du documentaire ou de l'animation. Les films sélectionnés seront projetés en avril 2026 dans différents lieux culturels de l'île.
« Une fois de plus, nous recherchons des histoires audacieuses et des manières de raconter des histoires qui sortent des sentiers battus, des œuvres qui interagissent avec les gens et qui n'ont pas peur d'expérimenter », explique Pedro López, vice-président de Mal del Cap et codirecteur de l'événement. « Ce festival est un espace ouvert à la créativité libre, au partage et à la mise en réseau des propositions les plus underground de la scène internationale. »
Ce festival, qui a débuté en 2014 et qui est l'un des plus anciens des îles Pityusic, propose plusieurs sections compétitives qui attribueront 1 000 euros de prix dans différentes catégories : la section officielle de la compétition de courts métrages, la section de la compétition de courts métrages pour les jeunes, décernée par de jeunes étudiants d'Ibiza, le prix Sebas Parra du meilleur court métrage à thème social, gracieusement offert par l'association La Guerrilla Comunicacional de Girona, le Malalt —reflétant l'esprit le plus fou de l'association—, le meilleur court métrage en catalan Récompense et prix du public.

ICAF started organizing CHENNAI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (CIFF) from the year 2003. All the earlier editions have seen a gradual growth in terms of attendance as well as popularity.
